With a new location I expected the place would be revamped, which it is... although they have nicer aesthetics and decent service the food has gone downhill. After trying some selections of there lunch options I was disappointed with the lack of quality ingredients. Seems a bit sloppy with there presentation and tased average. I can't say anything about there breakfast menu. Their wait times went way down though! read more

Great cafe! We had breakfast there and were all extremely happy with everything we ordered. Two of us ordered the special which was palasaide peach pancakes! The peaches were delicious and there were a lot of nice slices! The pancakes were hot and had little pieces of carmelized sugar throughout. They also had the perfect amount of real maple syrup. Our son ordered the sausage burrito smothered in green chili. He loved it! The green chili was spicy and full of great flavor! The coffee was fresh and delicious - bottomless cup! The service was great and we were greeted with a lovely smile! We highly recommend this cafe and can't wait to try more of their food! read more

This is my favorite restaurant. I whish I could give these people more than 5 stars! Dandelions is the latest eatery from the former owners of Whispering Weeds that was located just outside of Downtown Evergreen. They were my favorite place to go then, and when they closed I was really sorry to see them go. Now they are back; in a better location, improved menu, and lots more customers than they ever had before. My only dilemna is that they are getting so popular that it is hard to get a seat during the lunch rush! Here is an example of what you might find on any given day: 1. Artisan Pizza - choice of white, wheat or gluten free crust. 2. Fresh salads made with a variety of organic ingredients 3. Home made salad dressings that are gluten free 4. World Class Sandwiches made with home made bread created fresh every day by a master baker 5. Gluten free bread choices 6. Daily soup choices - many of which are gluten free 7. Daily ALL RAW specials for people who are into raw vegan cuisine 8. Wonderful lunch specials that include a main course, vegetable, some type of grain (rice, quinoa, buckwheat, etc) 9. An assortment of home made desserts, pastries and candies, also created daily by the master baker. Some are raw and some are gluten free. 10. Fresh, raw fruit and veggie juices, filtered water, lemonade, organic gourmet coffees and teas. 11. Cozy, healthy, packed with vegetarian menu items and featuring a grammatically correct menu (outta my way, Oxford comma). Nerd alert, I know. Got the veggie pizza as a sandwich on their homemade wheat bread, it had a slew of veggies, including some kalamata olives, and goat cheese for a heartier texture. All the interesting combinations, such as a smoked salmon pizza, will definitely bring me back. They sell locally made tinctures and honey in addition to making all their own baked goods, breads and pizza doughs (gluten-free available). I'm very curious about much of their menu, so I'll be back for round two next time I'm up the hill, for sure. read more

While the food is still good, the incredibly slow service has effectively deterred me from frequenting this place. _________________________ Newly opened so have only eaten here once. Very small but was pleased with the food and quality, despite them messing up my order. I ordered the Artichoke Delight artisan pizza (artichoke hearts, tomatoes, pesto, & feta) and asked to substitute tomatoes for pepperoni. Instead they sub'd pepperoni for the artichoke hearts. I was grumpy b/c I was hungry, so instead of going back I just ate it. Even though I really DONT like tomatoes (esp. when cooked), I actually thought the pizza was very good. True artisan style. They're probably only just for one person unless you get a salad or something else in addition if you're splitting. They offer several varieties of pizzas and crusts (white, wheat, and gluten free). They also have a couple sandwich options, soups, quiche, salads, and a daily raw entree. Every item is under $10, mostly in the $7-9 range. read more

So not fair to judge a place by its former owners, but that's exactly what we'd been doing. The last time we'd been here was 2+ years ago, and sadly, it was godawful. But it's in my neighborhood. I past it every day. And I desperately needed breakfast today. So, the fates were in its favor. And, WOW!! Was it a fortuitous combination of events! I had a Sausage Breakfast burrito smothered in some of the most delicious green chili I've ever eaten! The burrito was loaded with chunks of pork, crispy shredded potatoes, fluffy scrambled eggs, & goat cheese (I swapped the cheddar out for goat). This deliciousness was made-to-order, and still only took about 6-7 minutes. The menu is small, but extensive, with eggs, salads, sandwiches... everything homemade on premises. Holy Turkey Guacamole! I highly recommend this sandwich if you're an avocado lover. They make it with thanksgiving-style turkey and an array of other fresh ingredients. This place has a fairly limited breakfast and lunch menu and you order at the counter and they bring your food to your table. Friendly workers and my BLTA was delicious with a lot of bacon. My companion really enjoyed his quiche, too and commented how flaky the crust was. read more

Came here for lunch after a beautiful hike at the Maxwell falls. The space is small but accommodating and even though they were busy, it did not feel over crowded like some places ( especially when you order at the counter) can feel. Lots of options, brunch, salads, sandwiches, pizza, ice creams.... theres also a lot of organic and gluten free options as well, which is also great to see. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich on the honey oat bread and it was wonderful. Nicely sized (pretty big) but it was a welcome offering as we had just hiked several miles and were starving! My husband ordered the brie and turkey sandwhich and he also really enjoyed his. The side was some sort of tuna pasta salad, it was good...but as I had a creamy chicken salad, it was a bit much so I ended up not eating it. Would have been nice to have had an option for another side- and maybe there is, but it was never offered or brought up when we ordered...next time Ill be sure to ask. OH-- and the strawberry basil lemonade was LOVELY and refreshing on this super hot day in the mountains. Will definitely stop back when we are in evergreen again! read more

We come here from the Denver area regularly and always love it. The staff is friendly and service is fantastic. Most importantly, the food is ALWAYS on point. On our most recent visit for brunch, there was an omelette bar and our boys were given wrapped gifts of a coloring book and crayons for the holidays!! Surprisingly good value. Excellent quality food and a decent portion for a very good price. I had a tuna salad salad that had a lot I mean a lot of tuna for $4.50 and a few greens Dash if you want a huge salad with a little bit of tuna salad on top, this is not that but it was meaty and good. I also got a cup of Tuscan tomato soup which was a fabulous texture and flavor with lots of cheese in it for only $3.25. Nine dollars gets you a sausage egg breakfast burrito with lots of green chili. Everything was homemade down to the balsamic vinegar dressing and all was very satisfying. Rude, last time I was here food was better. I was disappointed by the way the treat their customers. I will not be eating here again food was cold chili was too hot not like hot temperature my food was cold but it was too spicy. The girl at the registered was very very very rude. I just picked up my "to go" order from Dandelions Cafe. (Tuna Salad sandwich and spinach salad w/added chicken). According to my wife the salad was delicious and my review of the tuna salad was pretty tasty! The reason for my 2 star review is because of the lack of customer service. When i walked in i was ignored by the young guy that glanced at me when i walked in and kept his back to me. Finally, after standing there for 2 to 3 minutes the older guy in the back finally noticed me and said "he'll be right with you". Another 2 minutes went by. Then another younger employee in the back asked "did you need to order something?" My reply was "just grabbing my to go order". Once that was relayed the older gentleman rang me up, and sent me on my way. No "hello" no "how are ya" no "thank you" in any way. My third and last visit. I have NO relationship AT ALL with Jimmy Johns whatsoever. But gentleman walk in to a Jimmy Johns and see how you feel when you walk out. Customer service goes a long way. read more

My gluten free son had much to choose from on the menu, including delicious chocolate chip cookies. The Owner/Chef's spouse is a celiac so he has perfected many gluten free recipes. I have been here half a dozen times and I'm done giving this place a try. We came for breakfast this last time. Portions were way too small. Bit overpriced. You pay when you order, which is fine with me, but then the register asks you to add a tip. Ok fine, I'm trusting the service is going to be good. Wrong - our food was delivered and we never saw our waitress again. The butter had some sugar or honey in it. I didn't like that, but again, no waitress to correct the error. Went to Dandelions today for lunch based upon a previous review on Yelp. Upon entering I was immediately greeted and asked whether I wanted to eat-in or take-out. I chose to eat-in and was seated and promptly supplied w/ a glass and a chilled carafe of water. Always nice to have this so that I don't have to continually ask for refills! Dandelions has a nice selection of artisan and standard fare pizzas along with salads and sandwiches. Pizzas included Pepperoni and Mushroom, Artichoke Delight, Smoked Salmon, Sweet Balsamic Chicken and so on. I went with the Woodland Rustic and chose to have the wheat crust (also had a possibility for gluten-free as well). Was a great pizza w/ baby portabella mushrooms, sundried tomatoes, walnuts and brie. Delicious!! Will have to go back some time and try some of the sandwiches and salads as they also looked very good. Loved the lunch ... Dandelions was a great little find in the Evergreen area! read more

It took a long time for our sandwich to get to out table. Secondly, the staff seemed somewhat apathetic. Most importantly the food was not impressive whatsoever, the sandwich was essentially 2 slices of plain bread from the grocery store with some bland pieces of meat in between them. I wish that Yelp gave different scales on which to evaluate a restaurant, as this place varies depending on category. As residents of Evergreen, we have tried every restaurant in town. Dandelions has some of the best pizzas in the area, especially the vegetarian option, and we used to be regular customers. While the breakfasts here are good, as the place is so tiny, food orders and table availability can take a long time. The one time at lunch I tried a turkey & Brie sandwich, which sounded terrific, it was close to terrible, with no flavor. That said, the vegetarian pizza is always wonderful. Still, we won't be returning, as we finally reached a tipping point with the unfriendly owner. As often as we patronized his cafe, we never got a smile or kind word, and it often seemed as if he were unhappy to see customers walk in the door. They took 30-40 minutes to bring our food, when there were four tables total. They totally forgot an entree and drinks. The salad was a pile of old vegetables and the herbs I swear had mold.
