Not sure why this place has bad reviews. I went here today with a friend, she was getting a full set and I was getting a fill. I had originally gotten mine done at the place in Elk River, and was very unhappy with it. This place however did a wonderful job. Not sure the name of my technician, but she took so much extra time and care with my nails, re-filling in the acrylic and smoothing out the edges, and making sure they looked as good as new. They did ask if I wanted gel this time instead of regular, but they weren't pushy about it at all. The place was as clean as any other nail salon, I didn't get a "gross" vibe from anything there. I love Daisy Nails and have introduced so many friends to this place! The service is always great, the prices reasonable and they fo the best gel nails. I have been to Daisy Nails three times for a pedicure. After reading good reviews of the place, I tried again for the third and final time on Saturday: Visit #1: I arrived for my appointment on time and then had to wait 45 minutes to get into a pedicure chair. They did a nice job and despite the long wait, I was pleased with the work. Visit #2: I sat in the pedicure chair and relaxed while my feet soaked until the nail tech finished up the lady next to me. When she was done with that lady, she cleaned the tub and tidied up her little rolling cart, and then wheeled it over to my chair and directed my to take my foot out of the tub. She then grabbed for a tool from her rolling cart, and I stopped her to tell her that I saw her use those tools on the other lady and that I wanted clean tools. She proceeded to tell me that they were a fresh set of tools, but I saw her use them. She refused to get a clean set of tools, so I dried off my feet and walked out of the place as another employee (I assume the owner or manager) attempted to stop me. Visit #3: I called to make an appointment for myself and two daughters for pedicures. On the phone, I indicated that I wanted three chairs next to each other so I could keep an eye on my kids, and that we needed our appointments at the same time (as I didn't want my girls running around the place as I was still in the chair). We arrived on time and every chair was in use. After ten minutes, I noted that many of the ladies in the chairs were still soaking and/or were just getting started, so there was NO way the three of us would be seated anytime soon, much less next to each other. I told the manager that we weren't able to wait, and she said, "no no, we are ready for you now", and asked us to follow her. We stood in front of the entire row of occupied chairs as she told us that they were ready. They clearly weren't. We began walking out as the manager raised her voice telling us to come back, resulting in my youngest daughter becoming upset as we left. We will not be back, and I honestly cannot believe that this place continues to be so busy, given that I am 0 for 3 for good appointments there. read more

When I go to get my nails done, this is the place I go! They use a sterilizer to keep tools clean and sterile, their technicians are always kind and friendly. I have never had a bad experience here. They have recognized and fixed bad nail jobs done at other nail salons, and they are always willing to go above and beyond to make your visit pleasant. I recommend going here to anyone! read more

I would give less than one star if I could. I'm in Minnesota from the Chicago area for a wedding I'm in. The bride had called to book her bridal party appointments for mani/pedis (there would be 6 of us total- some of the girls were only going to do one or the other) and Daisy Nails gave us a 1 pm appointment. We all arrived at 1 and were told to pick our polishes and sit and wait. One of the girls was told they would start her manicure- the employee led her over to a table and had her soak her fingers in a bowl. They never returned to her. She ended up just removing her hands from soaking because they were getting wrinkly and no one had come back to see her. At one point during this time, another woman came in and was seen after waiting only 5 minutes. The bride was escorted around 1:30 over to get a pedicure, and over 20 minutes later was still just soaking her feet- she had not been seen by anyone. Half the bridal party ended up going to another salon because we were running out of time. When the owner was confronted about the wait time and asked for an estimate, all she did was apologize and say they were running late. She did not have an idea of how long we'd still have to wait. I was asked to sit down for a pedicure (soaking my feet) at 1:53. The bride was helped starting at 1:56. This is just so ridiculous and awful customer service. I was seen by a pedicurist at 2:01. The third girl still with us (who just needed a manicure) wasn't seen until 2:17. If we'd been told the wait was going to be an hour, especially WITH an appointment, I would have gone to the Target across the street and saved my money by just buying a bottle of nail polish and doing my own nails. read more

Daisy nails did a good job on my nails but I was shocked by the prices! I was charged $38 for just a fill. The quality was decent but I know I can get just as good of a fill for significantly less elsewhere. read more

I took my son for his annual birthday pedicure. He loves the massage! All items were clean and sterile. We were taken care of immediately. Lots of nail polish colors available. I watched employees cleaning pedicure tubs with soap making sure they were clean in between customers. The Daisy pedicure had an amazing massage. I was leary after reading reviews but am glad I went ahead and visited. I will go back. read more

Went in with a friend to try out their $26 pedicure and was pleasantly surprised with a great experience. The people doing the pedicure were kind and interactive. They joked around with us and made us feel pampered. The services were very relaxing and well done. It didn't feel rushed or pushy. The manager/owner came over, asked us our names, chatted, and made us feel welcome. The only complaint I have is that the water wasn't hot, but I should have just asked to make it warmer. We'll definitely be going back when we need some "girl time". read more

I can not say enough good things about the wonderful people who work at Daisy. Tammy does my nails and NEVER have I left there thinking I wish I would have gone somewhere else - like I always have done in the past. Everyone does an amazing job!!! I recently brought my mom there to get her nails filled and she loves it too! The atmosphere is relaxing and everyone there is having a great time getting pampered!! I got an acrylic fill from this salon and it was the worst salon experience i've ever had. Not only was I charged more than the offerings menu quoted, but I had to have the technician fix my nails multiple times because they were uneven and not what I had asked for. Finally, I was judged on the tip I gave because I was unhappy with the service. I would advise anyone to go anywhere else but here, because there are places nearby with cheaper prices and better quality. If I could give 0 stars for a rating I would, as they even refused to even give me a refund. read more

It's been 7yrs. working at Daisy Nails. Daisy Nails is now under new owners and management. Tammy and her family owns and runs the place now. I did not QUIT nor RESIGN, I got FIRED because for standing up for myself, staffs, and the safety for Andover clients and clients that come from all over (Thank you). I REBELLED on the new owners of the unsanitary services that will be providing to the public. She (the owner) wants to save $$ so, she demanded that REUSING everything is a must. Especially *Paraffin Wax* when customer are being charge extra that. Soooo DISCUSSING, is Right! CLOROX BLEACH spray bottle to spray the pedicure tub are diluted or has something else in it... This was my first (and last) visit here. I came in to have a fill on my acrylic nails and picked out a color and sat down with a young woman. Her station was covered with nail dust before we began. She asked what I wanted and when I told her she said a gel was much better. I asked why and she said it was much stronger and they had a whole different palette of color. When I asked about pricing, the acrylic fill was $18 and the gel was $30. I chose the acrilyic. She watched tv and looked all around while doing my nails. The owner, Mimi stopped to ask if I had been there before and when I said no, she gave me a $5 coupon for future visits. She was very cordial, but felt she had to tell me I should do gel next time because acrylics chip, etc. The polish they used is terrible! I have found a nail place finally that I can go to and consistently get awesome service and friendly faces. Tammy does the best nail manicures I have found so driving across town to come here is worth it, even though there is a nail place 5 mins from my house. I have been going here for about 6 months now. Tammy does my nails (Gel manicure) every 2 weeks, & a different person does my pedicure every time. I have yet to leave disappointed. Tammy always consults me on how I would like my nails shaped, painted, etc.. & Makes sure they are up to my standards when they are done. The same with everyone else who has done my pedicure. I have very sensitive feet & toe nails, so I am very picky on how short they are cut & how much they are filed, & they have never cut them too short or hurt me. Avoid this place. I went in to get a mani/pedi and the girl that did my nails was rude beyond belief. She kept pushing me to get shellac instead of regular polish. When it came time for me to pay she insisted that I go over to Wells Fargo and pull out cash for my payment. I told her I didn't want to use my WF card that I only use for bills and I was going to use my MasterCard instead. She rudely told me that it cost them too much run mastercards. I told her that if that is the case then they should have a sign posted as to what cards are accepted. She rudely grabbed my card and told me that it was declined (she actually canceled the transaction - I know this because I work for Wells Fargo and am familiar with business merchant machines). She definitely faked my card being declined and I had to pull money out if my EF account anyway. I will never go back and warn everyone I know against this place. My co-workers and I now to go Sassy Nails on Main Street every other week! read more
