I've been to Hawaii and coming to this nail salon made me feel like I was back again. I drive past this place almost everyday. Finally, this past week I decided I would stop in for a pedicure instead of driving to my usual spot. Let me tell you something: trying new nail salons makes me VERY nervous. It always has and I'm sure it always will. Typically, you have to feel out which nail technicians you like but this place surprised me. I walked in with about an hour until close and was warmly welcomed. I asked if they had time for a pedicure and one lady smiled and said "yes, of course!" before she ushered me to the back of the store so I could sit down. She also went and grabbed me a whole book of colors (which I prefer over other methods) and let me browse while another woman prepared my water and started my pedicure. What I loved: -Attention to detail -They stayed a little after close and didn't rush -Choosing my scent for the scrub -The foot/calf massage -The massage chair -The whole Hawaiian vibe and interior -The jewelry for sale What I wish was different: -It took awhile for a pedicure (almost two hours) She spent a lot of time using her nail to get off excess color. -I wish there was another coat of color (I didn't think to ask) -You need to tell them if you want to tip before! My friend and I go here together at least once a year on her daughter's dance recital weekend with her family. This is a quaint little house house that's been turned into a salon. They have four pedicure stations when you walk in and four more in the back. So we were all able to be worked on at the same time. I've only ever had a pedicure here. This was my first time getting a gel pedi at this location. The chairs are comfy and have the massage features. They treat you to a sea salt scrub (with a choice on scent). They also massage the feet and legs and use hot towels. All very nice, I always wish the foot massage part lasted longer... That's fo' sure! Not a complaint, just that I look forward to that part most. I paid $45 for a gel French pedi. You can get flowers/designs for more $. I don't come here frequently enough to remember that if you want to add a tip you have to tell them before they run your card. Of course I didn't have hardly any cash on me. That makes me feel bad when I can't tip appropriately. That's why I suppose they encourage cash payment to get a free piece of jewelry. They have a lot of earrings, barrettes, sunglasses, etc. that are inexpensive. I know my friend's daughter got to pick something out for free since they paid cash. As soon as you walk in the door there is a sign saying that you should get gel polish which is a $15 up charge because they won't allow you to dry your nails in the salon. What kind of ridiculous business practice is that for a nail salon? Won't be returning to this place. read more

Me and my step daughter went here today. Terrible experience! My hands and toes turned out nothing like I wanted. I will never go here again. I got white nail polish on my toes and u can see right thru the polish. The paint was not even fully applied nor was the jewels. The jewels should have been near the skin line and they were not even close and does not look right. First, with my nails, I wanted white with the accent finger with white micro crystal which they didn't have so they couldn't do. This was disappointing considering you go to a nail salon and expect they know what they are doing and have all the supplies. My step daughter wanting a gold taping on hers...which they also didn't have. She wanted a marble accent, which they said they couldn't do. I wanted a sunflower on my big toe first which she could not successfully do. My step daughter's pinky nails aren't even with eachother. Her accent nail has glitter than u can feel on one hand but not on the other. My tech kept repeadly burning my fingers upon using the dremel. I tried to ask her the same question multiple times and she just ignored me. I almost started crying. I ended up doing a different design and I hate it. I bought my own white nail polish to paint over it. Pretty sad considering I spent over 200$ there. My tech, left ALOT of residue/resin on my hands and never cleaned it off nor put any cuticle oil on my hands. Not a good experience and I will never go here again. read more

All for $47. Dirt cheap. I felt so loved on. The most nail polish I've ever seen in my entire life. Floor to ceiling racks, 4-5 of them. Beautiful! It's in a converted house, which is super cute. All of the ladies were sweet and just delightful. It's also cool because you get either a punch on your punch card (10 punches = $10 off) or you get to pick a piece of jewelry/mini nail polish/scarf/face mask to take home! I've been here 4 times and have been very happy with my nails each time. I've gotten acrylic done the last 3 times and they looked really nice and lasted a long time (no broken nails in between fills). They have always kept up with my appointments, never had to wait longer than 5 minutes after arrival. First time here, took a chance because of previous reviews. I did agree with others about the quaint atmosphere and all the trinkets for purchase. I did also appreciate the book of gel colors they had available to look through versus the ones on a keychain like other places. I was tag teamed for my mani pedi; so the manicurist prep my nails while the other person was working on my feet. I was in and out in about an hour which is not the norm in my experience. The original gel style I wanted they couldn't accommodate, but the one I ended up receiving I am happy with. I got a Dip manicure here yesterday and my finger is already chipped. While doing my nails I noticed she put Gel top coat on it instead of the different top coats for Dip polish that other salons have used. My nails were rigged and the polish is clump so definitely not worth the money. read more

When my friend suggested this place for our pedicures last week, I was skeptical. I've passed this place a million times before and each time it only gets a mere glance from me. The building itself is an actual house, likely rezoned and remodeled to be a salon on the inside. It is a little over the top with the outdoor decor, so again - I was skeptical about what was to come. When we walked in the door, with no appointments, we were greeted with enthusiasm by one of the asian women employees and she instantly made us feel welcome. We picked out our nail colors and proceeded to the pedicure chairs. The massage chair is the best I've ever used and really did the trick in working out some of my knots as well as making me super relaxed. The gal who worked on my feet was friendly and happy and was excellent at the job. And when I thought that the service only included the foot bath, and polish, I was so wrong. We got salt scrubs, foot and leg massages, lotions, and even a parafin foot wax treatment at the end. The entire staff was so friendly and my friend and I loved the time we spent there, and I would highly recommend. I visited this place as a member of a bridal party. As far as the Pedicure was concerned, I would say 4-5 stars for sure. The massage chairs were fabulous and my pedicure looked great for weeks. The manicure was so-so. Gel started to chip within hours. It looked good from a distance, but up close it was not great. The shop itself was clean and the staff was friendly. The decor and jewelry/accessories available for sale were a bit "cheap" looking. Overall, I would come back for a Pedicure, but skip the manicure. read more

My friend and I went to Hawaii Nail Spa for the first time today and it honestly felt like being in a hoarders house. There was not a space in there that was not filled with something. When I went to the drying station there was stuff where my feet were supposed to go. The station where I got my nails done was like a little shoebox. I honestly felt claustrophobic in there. The gals in there were nice enough but the one that did my girlfriend's pedicure I'm not even sure could speak English. Then I found out it would cost me $22 for just an acrylic nail fill when I'm used to paying $15 to $18. I'm not sure what makes them so special that they would charge that kind of price. Awesome place! I got facial, pedicure and pink and white manicure. Best I have ever had. You have to go here the ladies is are the best and fun. Please trust me and if you bring cash you get free jewelry My pink and whites were hurting really bad so called to see if the would remove, I was told to wait a few more days and to deal with pain. Great pedicure. The woman who did my pedi was friendly and professional but didn't talk my head off so I could relax which is one of the reasons I get pedicures to begin with! I was VERY disappointed. I went to hawaii nails for a new full set of gel nails and get my old set taken off because my usual nail salon couldn't get me in. I loved my nails until I found out I was being charged extra for things they HAD to do to complete my nails. My nails (most importantly) ached for days. I then realized my nails were not only see through, but streaky. So streaky that when I got to work later that day my coworkers noticed right away. That night my nails chipped and I realized my thumb nails were completely uneven. When I called the next day the owner was VERY rude and refused to do anything to compensate. I have never been more dissatisfied with a service and if I could give it 0 stars, I would. I paid $54 for nails that look like they were done by someone with no training or experience. I went here based on two positive reviews on this site and feel it is important to write about my experience which was awful. The shop is crowded and the floor is very dirty. During my pedicure, the tecnician cut my toe and had trouble getting the bleeding to stop. Never once did she apologize or ask if I was okay. She completely ignored me and did not speak or look at me. During polishing, she dropped the brush on the floor, picked it up and put it back in the bottle. During my manicure, my feet - sandals and all - were placed in a pedicure dryer. After a hurried manicure, the pedicure dryer was lifted up off the floor, put on the table in front of me to dry my hands! I held my hands under the fan but the technician pushed my hands all the way in so now my hands and forearms were resting in grit and grime from people's feet and shoes. Awkward, dirty, unpleasant. Won't ever go back. And my cut toe hurt for a few days - at least it didn't get infected. read more

I went here for a deluxe pedicure and manicure combo. The service was amazing, all of the staffs were so friendly!
