I had hoped for a relaxing break - especially since I paid extra for the Deluxe Pedicure - but it was anything but deluxe. Ruby, my nail technician, rushed through the entire service. There was no time to soak in warm water, no attention to detail, and little regard for making it an enjoyable experience. I only know her name because she introduced herself to another client. She chatted with the technician next to her the entire time and only spoke to me when trying to upsell. When I mentioned I didn't want my nails done or polished (extra), she literally snapped at me. Halfway through the service, her manager asked her to help another client. Without a word of explanation or even a "thank you," she got up and left, and another technician, Hanh, took over. No one acknowledged the switch or offered any kind of apology or explanation. With so many nail salons in the area providing friendlier service and a more professional atmosphere, I'll be choosing the competition from now on. TB Nails just isn't worth it.

Salon Adagio is a nice salon for hair care but their spa area is not adequate. Which is the point…read moreof my review. I had a nice facial with Stevie yesterday . I enjoyed it and the salon's prices are very reasonable. However my time was hardly relaxing thanks to the way the salon is set up. The room where the esthetician works is just around the corner from the front reception desk. All the conversations from the desk were easy to hear. In addition the bathroom is right next door and you can hear the toilet flushing. The spa waiting room has 2 seats and is open to the salon. Yesterday there was a man who sat there the whole time talking on his cell phone. He was taking up a space that someone getting spa services could use, plus he was loud enough to hear during the facial. This set up is poor, and there are no seats by the receptionist in the salon, so anyone coming in waits in the small spa area. The salon could greatly improve by making a few modifications to their setup. For me, one of the perks of a spa treatment is relaxing afterwards. There was certainly none of that at Salon Adagio. Too bad, but I doubt if I'll come back.

My first impression walking in the door was not a good one. There were several employees huddled up chatting, laughing, etc. This felt very click-y and not the environment I was hoping for. I was presented the option to use a robe and slippers and while I do understand that not everyone will take advantage, I felt like I was inconveniencing someone by using these services. Why not invite me in to the locker room, show me my assigned locker, point out the goodies and say, "our robes and slippers are available for you to use!" or something similar. I would rate the massage a 2.5 out of 5. The masseuse did not utilize the time (60 min), nor did she reach my requested pressure points. I felt time was wasted. It was odd. Now, the facial, 8 out of 5! She was so detailed oriented and truly spent so much time on my skin. My upper body was massaged SO much better through my facial than through the full-body massage. She focused on trouble areas and made some recommendations (which I really appreciated!) I was a bit embarrassed leaving there because my face was completely red (looked like a terrible burn), but she said it would subside within an hour and it did. I may skip the massage next time, but definitely plan on giving GiGis another chance, especially for the facials.

My daughter recently paid $170 for a haircut & color service at this salon & was extremely…read moredisappointed with the results. She is very shy & was uncomfortable addressing the issue herself, so I initially contacted the salon on her behalf with her permssion. The haircut was so minimal that neither family members nor friends could tell she had her hair cut. The color was placed underneath her hair, making it virtually invisible during normal wear. We even provided before-and-after photos to support our concerns. When I first spoke with management, I was told she would review the situation with the owners and she indicated that a refund might be appropriate. However, after the stylist became involved, the conversation changed completely. Although we made it clear that my daughter was not comfortable returning to the same stylist for correction, that seemed to become the salon's only proposed solution. ********Most disappointing of all, we sent a respectful email to the owners detailing our concerns and included photos. We even proposed a partial refund for just the haircut and not the color and never received a response**** Everyone can make mistakes, but professional businesses should stand behind their work and communicate with their customers when concerns are raised. Unfortunately, that was not our experience.
