Moved to this area during pandemic so still finding my personal service locations. Needed a pedicure badly (my toes were becoming hobbit-ish) but was reluctant to go to the place across the street since previous visits were not favorable. I have nerve damage in my feet so any handling can feel painful. Stopped at Minty since the reviews were good and it was in a location with which I'm familiar. I liked the place as soon as I walked in. Bright and fresh appearance. They use Apple products for checkin and checkout which is always a plus. I loved being able to make an appointment online rather than calling. I went in for the special they were offering for pedicures and it was lovely. The salon is clean and the people are fantastic. There is a young girl as a receptionist on Sundays who I adore. I am always offered a free drink and who doesn't love getting their nails done while sipping a diet coke? I get a gel fill and have never had anything but lovely shaped, not thick nails. I can extend my fills to about every 3.5 weeks before needing to go in again but I also choose a more neutral nail color and growth is not that noticeable. I was looking for a new nail salon closer to me and found this one with very good reviews. Immediately I was convinced by how easy it was for me to book a same day appointment and see which service was provided. Upon entering I was greeted right away and staff were aware of my arrival. Inside was very clean and aesthetically modern. I love the velvet emerald seat most! My nail artist was Yen. She is the sweetest and very attentive. I had the deluxe pedicure, and it was an amazing experience. We had a lovely chat and she was always checking in for my comfort level and preferences. I decided to go for a summery red orange color and love it very much! I was suggested to go for a gel pedicure instead because it'll last longer. It's been a week and my toe nails are still as nicely painted - no chips! I work full time wearing loafers, flats and tennis shoes often but my nails are still very nice. I was able to go to Minty nails for their 'soft opening.' I had made an appointment online and then later confirmed it with FB messenger. When I arrived I was warmly welcomed by the staff. Although I was on time, there were several people also getting pedicures already. I had to wait for quite awhile to be served, but given their soft opening, it is understandable they are still working out some kinks. I was kept company by a member of their staff (a bright young lady) Lydia (??). I found out Minty is entirely family owned and operated. When I was able to get into the pedicure chair, Mi-Lee (sorry, again not 100% on her name?). She was very kind and accommodating. I am recovering from an infected toenail, which she was very gentle and attentive to my sore toe. Overall, She did a good job and my toes and feet look and feel great! Minty may want to consider offering a 'mani-pedi package' in the future. They offer spa services and products in which their prices are comparable to other spas. However, it is probably not the cheapest place to get your nails done. For me, going to Minty nails will be a nice treat when I want to reward myself. read more

AMAZING!!!! I booked a reservation for 3 manicures at 11am on a Friday. I received a phone call on Wednesday morning asking if I could push the appointments back to 12:15, due to a staffing issue. I appreciated not being made to wait when we arrived. The salon is brand new and super clean. The decorations are bright and the music is great while not being too loud. They used freshly sterilized equipment for each of us. The women who did our manicures were super friendly and did a great job. I will definitely be a repeat customer!!! read more

I had my first appointment at Minty Nails last Friday, and pleased is an understatement! The staff was so friendly and sweet. My appt was on time and I love my nails! Hana did such an incredible job and was definitely a perfectionist! Her quality of work is wonderful and she is so so kind. I will definitely be going back and this is now my new go to nail spot! I also love that they take mostly appointments, made it so much easier knowing I wasn't going to have to spend a long time waiting! Terrible place, they made me wait 45 minutes even though I had an appointment. Made me move three times to different chairs. Also, charged me $5 for using my card saying "it's an extra $5 to use your card maybe next time bring cash" they were rude to me the whole time and overcharged me on my nails. Have gotten a full set and several fills here by a few different manicurists. Holly left my original set extremely thick then got upset when I asked to come in the next day for them to be reshaped. When Tien did my fill he didn't finish with their standard massage and then charged me more than past fill services. I found one manicurist here I really liked and she did a great job, I was pleased. Then, my polish began pealing off less than a week later. I called and the owner was very kind over the phone saying to come in for a fix, no charge. I came in and my regular manicurist came to look, didn't say "hi" or greet me (after I have been a regular 2 week client and tips well each time) just took my hand, looked at the polish and began speaking in a stern angry sounding tone and kept talking about it to her peers. Other staff kept coming over and looking at the peeled off nails until they told me it was my fault several times and seemed irritated to have to repolish. My daughter and her friend who are also regular clients have had to wait up to 40 mins past their appointment times with no apology, Tien rushed thru the appointment, left her with burnt ripped cuticles and both he and the other manicurist kept ignoring them when the asked for chrome top coats- they just didn't want to do it and kept rushing thru. Experienced lots of dirty looks and stern tones amongst the other staff with each of these experiences. It's uncomfortable to be a client in there when it feels obvious they are all talking about you. Sadly, I think we will all be scheduling future appointments with other salons in the community- really wanted to support this one. read more

I'd been to Minty a few times and the results were always meh, but they're close and open Sundays so I end up there now and again which was the case this morning. The first issue was the color I picked for my pedicure. The tech told me it's too light for toes and won't show up (it was pale pink). I asked why and she repeatedly said it's too light, it's for fingers. She told me to use a dark pink color she picked out. I insisted I wanted the color I had chosen and she finally said ok. Normally I would have just gone somewhere else at this point because it was weird to have to convince the nail lady to paint the color I wanted, but my feet were already in the water so I stayed. The rest of the service was fine. My pedicure turned out mediocre which is what i expected. Then I go to pay which is where the problems start again. I didn't have cash which seemed to be an annoyance. I attempt to pay with my check card and of course, the machine doesn't accept my card. The woman then loudly asks, "do you have another card , this one no good". Of course that makes it look like my card was declined. I don't want to cause a scene so i just hand her another card, and low and behold , the machine won't work with that card either. The woman ringing me up leaves and another tech comes to the register to run my card. As we all knew by now, it wasn't going to work. After about 7 minutes of this I caved and said I would use their cash machine (because of course they have one in the salon) I asked my total and was told $70. I said I had gotten the basic pedicure and she said , "oh for cash, $55" WTF? Anyway,I got cash with my card that was "no good" according to them, paid, and got the hell out of there. They do a decent job however this is the second time in a month that after waiting 20 minutes passed my appointment time I've had to walk out because I have other plans that count on my appointment being at least somewhat time. Decided to find a new nail salon after not loving my usual spot the last time and found Minty Nails through Yelp. So glad i decided to look!! The salon is absolutely stunning, great music, and the staff was so incredibly kind. They were able to fit us in last minute on a Saturday morning! I brought in my own regular nail polishes and it was so refreshing to be taken so well care of. Usually salons have dismissed me and don't do the best job since I don't get gel or sets. Clean facility. Had an appointment for my daughter and her friends for pedicures. Since they were all under 11, they qualified for a "kids pedicure". My technician was great, very personable. However, I was dissatisfied with the 2 texhnicians next to me servicing my daughter (who was the birthday girl) and one of her friends. We were all sat at the same time but no nail tech came to work on my daughter. She sat there for over 10-15 minutes waiting. And when the guy came to do her nails, he quickly caught up with the rest of us... dang near just painting her nails. The other lady servicing my daughters friend kept going on and on about how big her feet were for being 9 years old. Literally cackling and laughing at her saying "your feet are so big... You're a big girl. My feet are so much smaller than yours.." and laughing. The friend looked uncomfortable. She's not a "big girl", she's tall. My nail tech kept intercepting and saying how pretty she was and she'll be a model one day to help with the awkwardness. The pedicures lasted less than 20 minutes total when we were told it was going to be 30. It's a $32 pedicure with of course the design up sell... NOT worth it. Maybe it's ok individually. But don't go with more than 2 people. Not a kid friendly place! read more

I would rate 0 stars if that was an option. The nails I got look nothing like I wanted and they weren't even difficult. If I knew it was going to look this bad I would of done it myself. For how pricey it was for a new full set of nails I would of expected it to be better. The customer service wasn't the greatest either. read more
