After not getting my nails done for 4-5 years, my brothers girlfriend asked if I had wanted to get my nails done. She usually goes to Daisy, and so we made an appointment for 4:45. It was extremely busy and we probably didnt start our nails till about 5:20ish! No biggy for me, as I used to work in the service industry and I know how it can get! I showed I think her name was (elly? I can't remember, but she was great) a picture of my nail inspo and she KILLED it. They are absolutely stunning. I got a pink and white ombre acrylic set for 75$ and they are by far my favorite nails i've had. I definitely will be going back. read more

I've gone to this place for many years & its only gotten progressively worse. They take "appointments" but whenever you go in at your scheduled time they still make you wait. I've waited upwards of an hour before. They very obviously talk about you in another language & laugh. The owner Kim is extremely unprofessional. She did my nails today & it took almost three hours because she was on her phone the entire time & talking with Nina. She also got up about half way through & had someone else finish & I had to re-explain what I wanted done. I told her I wanted a rounded shape & she made them pointy & sharp & just said "this better". She used way too much of the powder so my nails look way too thick & uneven. Some nails are crooked. The design looks like something a two year old could do. I'm so disappointed. Then when I went to pay I was told it was more than I was originally told. I'm not much for confrontation so I just said okay. When I didn't have cash & wanted to pay with card they shamed me & said they wanted cash. I said all I had was my card & then the owner Kim started pressuring me about a tip. I was debating even leaving one considering my experience but she pulled up her Venmo before I even had a chance to say no. the quality of their powder is horrible my nails always fall off after like 5 days and I went in twice aftee my appointment. I went in the first time to get the nails that fell off fixed, then the next day another mail popped off and I drove there to ask if they could do a refund or fix it and they said no to both and that they didn't have people to do that. and I got no money back even tho my nails fell off just days after I got them done. they made it feel like it was my fault that that happened and my nails look horrible. read more

Then they were out of the color I picked and I felt this enormous pressure to pick another color after I had stated I would go natural, no color. my boyfriend and I got pedicures and our nails done. we wanted the first pedicure listed out of the 6ish options, the lady wouldn't except that and said my boyfriend NEEDED to get at least the 3rd one listed. Afterwards I got a full set of gel for my hands. By the time i got home (15 minute drive) 4 of my nails had air bubbles in them. By morning they were peeling. The guy said my nails were completely dry. I have never had gel polish bubble and peel without touching them. Very disappointed. We left around 6:30 pm and they seemed to be trying to do their closing stuff and rushing us out the door. For the cost I was expecting higher quality, as well as them to do what we asked, not require a more expensive service. read more

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here. Emily did my pedicure and Mimi did my full acrylic set. They were both very good and you can tell they take pride in doing a good job. I did the deluxe pedicure and that was fantastic. Next time I am hoping to do a hand scrub and massage since I skipped it this time. The person that did my daughter's nails tonight did a beautiful job. I'm unhappy about our experience when paying for the services. Before my daughter sat down, she showed the design she wanted and asked how much it would be. We were told $75. When it was time to pay, the owner asked the gal how much it was and she said $75. I then asked the owner if I could use a 10% off coupon I received via text. The owner then changed the price to $80 and then agreed to the coupon and said the total was $72. When I asked her about the price again, she lied and said the $75 was already discounted. I disagreed with that. The person did not know I had a coupon when she told us $75. And the owner continues to grumble about it but in Vietnamese (which I happen to understand) while the person that did the nails said to just give the discount and the owner begrudgingly agrees to $68. Please don't send out coupons if you don't plan on honoring them. I have been going to this salon for years and will not anymore. read more

One of my rituals when I'm visiting my hometown is to go to Daisy Nails with my mom for a pedicure. In my book, every nail salon should be graded on the 5 c's: Consistency, Convenience, Cleanliness, Comfort, & Cost. We keep going to Daisy Nails because their quality is consistent, it's in a convenient location (near Target), the salon is always clean and well-maintained, and I absolutely love the jumbo massaging chairs while I'm soaking my feet. Cost is average, although on my last visit they had put up a sign announcing that a service charge is added to payment by credit cards -something like $2 for a bill of more than $36 -- and $1 for anything below. We love Daisy Nails, but this unfortunate business policy of passing the cost on to their customers prevents me from giving them the otherwise full 5 stars. read more

It took two entire hours to get my nails done because the lady who was doing my nails kept talking to the people around me (she would stop working on my nails to talk) and kept needing to check people in because there was no receptionist. I can't tell you how many times I've called days ahead of time, made an appointment, show up on the day and there's no record of it! I sit and wait and wait. The owner takes the appt. but never asks my name which should be a sign that she writes nothing down. It's awful customer service and they still pretend not to know me after going there every two weeks for about 7 years. This morning while I was waiting again, I made an appt. at their competitor for noon. I will never go back and think they need to do better with more and more competition moving in. BUYER BEWARE We won't be back. I went with my 7 year old daughter and we both got pedicures. At one point the manicurist started painting my daughters fingernails after I said we were there for pedicures. She reassured me the manicure was free and it wasn't a manicure it was just painting nails. For some reason they wanted to up-sell me for a pedicure on my 7 year old. I said no to the up-sell and somehow it was performed any way. When it came time to pay I was told I owed $85 when I asked how they did not stick to their word. Price shock. I have never paid this much for two pedicures. I should've thrown more of a fit regarding the service and up-sell on what I didn't want, but I instead bit the bullet and chalked it up to we will never go back. So disappointed. When I go for a pedicure I go to relax not to have to continuously turn down up-selling tactic pressure. read more

I was very happy with my pedicure and everything seemed nice and clean/sanitary. My only complaint is I wish the manicurists would only speak English when in the presence of customers. I think it is rude to all be using their native language so no one knows what they are saying. I went to Daisy Nails to have my acrylic nails removed. I knew my nails would be damaged, but Kim removed the first two nails without soaking them in acetone. My nails were gouged all the way through to my nail bed. Two weeks later these nails are still very painful and will take months to heal and grow back. My impression was that the goal of Daisy Nails is to perform every service as quickly as possible. The service was inexpensive, but I am paying the price and regret going there. When I got there they were not ready and told me to sit. 15 minutes after my appointment was supposed to begin I went to the front and was told to pick my polish and sit again. I brought my polish. They finally put me in a pedicure chair. Waited an additional 10 minutes and was told it was going to be an additional 5 minutes. I would never recommend this place for anyone to go anywhere. I sat there for well over an hour for my friend to get a fill broke her nails before she even left the door. They took me in over a half an hour before my appointment and let her and her mom sit at the chairs longer than it took me to get a full set on. The owner was super rude to all of us and yelling at her workers in our ears and then trying to tell us that we needed to pay for our nails when they broke them and didn't do anything right to them. This used to be my FAVORITE place to go and have my nails done. The mere fact that I live in MPLS and would drive to Andover was insane. YOU COULD NOT pay me to go back there! The salon has changed owners. ANYONE who has ever had their nails done there should STOP NOW! There is NO manager license posted anywhere, the salon license is EXPIRED so you are getting your nails done by an UNLICENSED place. They reuse their tools without proper sterlization, I watched them NOT even clean the tub after someones pedicure before they refilled the tub. I know for a fact that there are cleaniess issues there as I had a very good friend work there and she confirmed. DO NOT ever go to this place unless getting an infection is what you want! read more

I recently went to Daisy Nails in Andover, Mn to get regular Pedicure and a Gel Manicure 2 days before my son's wedding. The very next morning the Gel polish on one finger was coming off. The owner Kim said she would fix it but could not find the exact color match so had to settle for something close on one finger due to timing of leaving town. She said to come back when I returned & she would redo Gel manicure for free. Less than 5 days of 1st visit Gel polish on two more fingers was coming off. When I returned in addition to "Free" Manicure she promised I requested a color change only on my toes which I knew I would have to pay for. Little did I expect that she would charge me $38 for the color change on my toes. I questioned her again and she stated $38. I will NOT return to this Salon again!!! read more

Two of my nails were crooked and I could tell he did not know how to apply colored acrylic on tips as he kept sanding it off and redoing it. We arrived on time for our 12:00 appt, only to see that multiple other people had *just* sat down, taking up the seats we had reserved. Some appointments started an hour after they were supposed, so it took forever to get everyone through. And the mani/pedis were lackluster to say the least. I'm very unhappy with how mine turned out. Not sure why this place has bad reviews. I went here today with a friend, she was getting a full set and I was getting a fill. I had originally gotten mine done at the place in Elk River, and was very unhappy with it. This place however did a wonderful job. Not sure the name of my technician, but she took so much extra time and care with my nails, re-filling in the acrylic and smoothing out the edges, and making sure they looked as good as new. They did ask if I wanted gel this time instead of regular, but they weren't pushy about it at all. The place was as clean as any other nail salon, I didn't get a "gross" vibe from anything there. It was very busy the whole time we were there, which is always a good sign. I will definitely be going back! read more
