I've been to hair and nail salons and the do a great job. I will never get may face waxed there again. Which is pretty bad since its a wax center. I only put a 1 star because I had to .

I've been a client of EWC for a few years now. I got started at the Roseville location. They…read moredropped off coupons for a free eye brow wax at work and I was overdue! **Note: first eye brow wax is free for NEW clients. ** Whatever wax they use is way better than the hot dripping wax used in hair salons. First few times were pain-free but now that I'm +/- 100 waxes in, the sting is back. Sometimes I pre-book. Sometimes I'm a walk-in. No matter which location I visit, everyone is friendly. I had a longtime girl at CR, but she moved away. It was nice to have a rapport and she knew about products I've tried and which ones broke my out in a rash. For new girls, there is a consult on what you want done, what shape (eyebrows) are you looking for. The only other service I've had was armpit waxing. That was weird to grow out the hairs long enough. Didn't hurt as much as the face though. I can't speak for other services. I'm a visual person so I like to take pictures of where I'm planning a review. I asked the gal if I could take a picture of her room and she said no. Which is fine I guess, just left me disappointed because I wanted to share it with you here. Bummer. Rooms are air conditioned so that might be a bit chilly in the nether regions. Leather apolstered tables with paper liner to lay on... like at the doctor office, but longer to put your feet up. Pillow for head. Products set out in containers on work counter. Everything looks to be disposable and one time use. Never seen them actually clean the room but looks brand new when I'm brought back. Restrooms on site in the clinical hallway. Products on display in lobby where you can purchase if used on you that day. You can buy services a la carte for the day, or you can buy a package of services like Buy 9, Get 3 free. Your CC gets charged in 3 or so payments and that makes checkout very easy because you prepaid for them. Just need to leave a tip in cash or say to charge your CC on file.

Went in for a pedicure on October 12…read more While my nail tech was very sweet, got me checked in quickly, and the salon was flexible about changing our appointment, the overall service on my pedicure was just okay. I paid extra for a package that supposedly included a foot softening treatment, but was told it was only a basic scrub -- and that the "real" softening would cost extra. Had I known that, I would've just gone with the basic pedicure since it already includes a heel scrub. It's confusing (and frustrating) to see so many upgraded package options if the services they advertise aren't actually included without more upcharges. The pedicure itself was fine -- my cuticles and polish were okay, but nothing special. Honestly, it looked like something I could have done myself at home. For the price I paid, I expected more professional detail and finish. Another thing to note: they offer 20% off one service for first-time customers who pay in cash. Be careful -- they'll try to upsell additional services (as many salons do), but that discount will only apply to the cheapest service, not the most expensive one. I originally only wanted a pedicure and declined several offers for add-ons. Eventually, I agreed to have my cuticles cleaned on my fingers, not realizing that it would be $30 -- and that the 20% off would apply to that instead of my $80 pedicure. That's partly on me for not double-checking, but as a professional (I worked as a makeup artist for over a decade), I always made sure to inform clients about add-on prices before proceeding. Overall, I won't be returning. I was going to give 1 star, but since my nail tech was kind and apologized for the confusion, I'm giving 2 stars to acknowledge her effort.

Angie is amazing. I only go to her to do my nails. If I bring an inspo pic, she can make it happen…read more Or I allow her to explore her creative thoughts. My nails never lift, are sturdy and last me a month before I have to see her again.
