I had a horrible experience with another nail salon who cut my toenails way too short causing ingrown toenails that I had to cut out and do first aid on. So when I walked in to Champlain Nails the first time I was nervous, that is until the owner heard what happened and assessed my toes. He was not happy, stating how horribly dangerous it is to cut nails that way. He then went to work making sure the lady who did my nails knew how to fix them. I had to leave with them uneven for my safety, because of how the other salon had butchered my nails. Believe me I was okay with that. They were very gentle and kind. He knew his stuff. He even educated me on the white spots on My nails and encourage me to stop back at the other nail salon to report what happened so it never happens to another customer again! I went there on Saturday, November 8 with my friend worst experience I've had the one that did my nails booth eight she didn't do what I wanted done. She just kept shaking her head when I tried to talk. Two of them look fake. They were so crooked some of them and she clipped one of my nails with a cuticle clipper made it bleed.She couldn't get it to stop bleeding so she had added a bunch of power. And the next day it's infected I had to put peroxide on it summer skinnier than the others. Let's just say I will never go back there again the first time in the last time. read more

Normally have such a great experience here, however was made very uncomfortable. Survivor was on in the background, and he was asking my friend and I questions about how much money they make on that show compared to Naked and Afraid. Afterwards; he told us he'd rather be paid to be a porn star. Laughing, he continued on and suggested that my friend and I sign up for a show he's coming up with, "sleeping with the nail tech." Usually no problem with the service, or how my nails turn out. But I wouldn't return based on that interaction alone. No other nail techs were there since it wasn't a busy night and they were close to closing. Just my friend and I in there with him. Entirely inappropriate and unprofessional. read more

My mother-in-law, niece and I met here tonight, and I'm so glad we did. My niece is 4, so we thought maybe they could just paint her toenails, but they did a full pedicure -complete with a child-size pedicure chair! She loved the entire process and the friendly staff. They made her feel so special and recognized her for her great patience and behavior;) almost all of the staff stopped to chat with her. My mother-in-law had a gel pedicure and they were rather quick at removing her previous gel polish. They were running a bit behind for me (we didn't make appointments) which was not a problem, but they kept me updated as to when it'd be my turn. I didn't mind as I could relax with the massage chair and chat with my family. My pedicure was fabulous, perfectly done and super relaxing! The space was clean and bright, the staff was so friendly and our pedicures turned out great. I went there with high hopes. My wait was long so they did offer an additional service at 50% off. But... the male that works there was extremely rude and condescending to other customers when they weren't happy. Also, I showed the nail tech a picture of a couple of designs and asked if she could do them. She said she would take care of me. She put children's nail art stickers on my nail! My nails are crooked, she cut me with her file and caused lots of bleeding and just said "oops". I would not recommend. read more

Amazing, Amazing, AMAZING! We went here on a whim for my sister's birthday, as a party of four. Our group just recently moved the the Brooklyn Center area, and this popped up on our phone search. Thank goodness it did! The fact that they had an opening for four people, all doing mani/pedi combos was a miracle in itself at 6pm. They are a new establishment, and their customer service blew me out of the water! The salon is immaculate. Modern. Organized. Perfect. They offered us bottled water and/or hot tea upon entering the salon. Top notch. They have the largest selection of gel nail polishes that I have ever seen in a nail salon, which is a plus because I am a sucker for gel polish! I got a deluxe mani/pedi combo for only $40 bucks! And man, is there deluxe version DE-LUXE! :) They make their own scrubs with natural ingredients (raw sugar, honey, coconut oil and orange & ginger zest is the one I chose) which I was impressed with! Their prices are comparable to most in the area, and they have combo discounts! The techs had us laughing the whole time we were there, and they spoke English very well! Overall, I had the best experience I have ever had while getting my nails done! I have found my new nail salon I will become a regular at! They totally won me over! The husband is in charge of taking appointments, but don't really know what he's doing. Don't go there if you have other errands to run because you will definitely be late. They no longer have a price list, so the can charge whatever they feel. Jenifer usually do my niece gel manicure for $30, but for whatever reason she charged her $40. It lasted only one week, which was a complete waste of money. They supposedly have a kid & student special discount but it's not even recognized. They always ask if you want gel after saying on more then one occasion that you don't. The only positive is that the shop is clean but really don't matter if your customers are not happy. I also did my nails and it only lasted for 8 days the dip was chipping off . Pedicure is the only thing that's good there. The owners don't even know how to do nails either read more

While the service was very friendly, I wasn't very impressed with the manicure I received. I had a gel manicure from another salon removed and asked for a manicure with regular polish to protect my nails that had been roughed up from the gel polish removal. Inside, the manicure looked okay; however, once I stepped out into natural light, I saw that the coats of polish were uneven and not fully covering my nail in some places. Furthermore, the polish began to crack within a day of getting the manicure (with minimal use of my hands in ways that would damage my nails). read more

I like that this place is clean and they offer you water but they rush. My daughter and I started our pedicure about 10-15 min apart and we were getting our nails painted at the same time. She used multiple sugar scrubs and lotions. My feet have never been so soft. I chose the highest priced pedicure at $45 but it was well worth every penny. Hot stones, heated towel wraps and oil. My nail technician was so amused with her own mistake while doing my nails, she collapsed in a fit of laughter and someone else had to take over.
