Chocolate dipped chocolate cone
Paris L.

I always come here for a chocolate dipped cone and the crunch is so good! As you can see sometimes the cone is not consistent but still very yummy. I noticed the sanitation score here is a 90.5 as of Aug 17 so be aware. Other than this this location is great!

Peanut butter sauce? ‍
Christine W.

Just got my nostalgic peanut butter sundae and sadly was left disappointed. I worked at DQ all through HS so I know this is not DQ PB sauce. They had it before, but they don't any longer. This is more like the caramel and fudge toppings. Please bring back the OG PB DQ sauce that's squeezed from a ketchup bottle, smothering my DQ and I'll come back

parking lot at dusk

For the past several months, every time we drive by it appears closed. Always dark inside, no exterior lights on, menu board not lit up, menu board in disrepair. Tried calling the store several times to confirm it was open, and no response. Finally decided to chance it when we drove by and saw a car sitting at the darkened drive-thru, and what do you know they actually were open. Received a half-filled cup for my Medium blizzard. Asked why the store was so dark, with no real explanation. We sat out in the parking lot as we ate our ice cream and watched quite a few cars drive by, slow down, look to see how dark it was, and continue on without stopping. Does this location even want to be in business? Losing customers left and right, including us now.

Comparing cone sizes. Red is medium. Orange is large.

Visited today. A person who had previously gotten their Blizzard came back to the counter and noted that they didn't have much toppings. The staff was trying to be helpful, I suppose, when they added more toppings to the person's half-eaten cup and then remixed it in the Blizzard machine. They then made several more Blizzards immediately after... without sanitizing the machine. Even after we pointed this out to them, they continued to make more Blizzards on the unclean machine. Secondarily, I ordered a large chocolate cone. My wife ordered a medium. The cones have color-coded rings on the paper sleeves. Mine came in the same sized cone as my wife's (and you can see the size difference just looking a the bottom of the cone from behind the counter)... and when asked, they said it was a large. So I've also now not gotten what I paid for.

Just crumbs, no chunks whatsoever. Very poor value

The prices at this location are absolutely absurd. I ordered a mini Reese's peanut butter cup blizzard and the total was $5.20, for a MINI! For those who have never gotten one, a mini is only a little larger than a shot glass. I absolutely cannot believe they are charging that for such a small portion!! And the blizzard only had crumbs in it, don't even think I got a quarter of a Reese's in it. Extremely overpriced!

I ordered the Trio, which included mozzarella, boneless chicken bites, and sliders. When I opened my order, I was honestly blown away to discover that the sliders had been prepared and packaged without the chicken--the primary protein and main component of the item was completely missing. This goes beyond a simple mistake with a condiment, topping, or side item. How does an order make it through the kitchen, assembly process, packaging, and final handoff without anyone noticing that the actual chicken was missing from the chicken sliders? From a customer-service and basic QA/QC standpoint, this represents a significant breakdown in the order fulfillment process. Customers ordering through the app are trusting the restaurant staff to prepare and verify their meals before they leave the kitchen, particularly because an app customer may not discover an issue until they have already returned home. There should be some level of final quality-control check to ensure that the primary components of an order are actually present. I have already contacted Dave's Hot Chicken corporate and provided both my email address and phone number requesting a callback. I believe the level of service failure associated with this experience warrants more than simply reporting a missing item through the app. Someone within management needs to understand what occurred and determine how an order containing sliders with no chicken whatsoever was allowed to leave the restaurant. I understand that mistakes happen in food service, and I am generally reasonable about an occasional incorrect or missing item. However, completely forgetting the primary ingredient in multiple chicken sliders indicates a much more fundamental breakdown in attention to detail, quality control, and customer service. I hope Dave's Hot Chicken takes this feedback seriously, addresses the issue with the Wake Forest location, and follows up with me regarding how this situation will be resolved.

When we lived in Virginia SCNB was a definite stop while traveling in North Carolina. For many years we only ordered the bbq, until one year, my wife tried the fried chicken. OMG. They do chicken right. It reminds me of fried chicken when growing up. The seasoning is the best. Not hot and spicy but just gooood. Publix fried chicken comes close but SCNB always comes out on top. Next come the sides. The Brunswick stew tastes like the recipe is generations in the making. It is thick, meaty, and loaded with vegetables. If you're looking for pulled pork and excellent fried chicken, then SCNB is a fantastic choice.

We made 2 trips during the week we were here. The first time I got the chicken and bbq plate, also came with fries and hush puppies and also Cole slaw. As a Florida native. My idea of bbq is different. I'm used to sweet and tangy sauce or a golden mustard sauce. Their sauces are vinegar based with a bit of tomato paste for color and red pepper flakes. I will say it's an acquired taste. It wasn't bad. Their fried chicken was really crispy and it was really juicy, hot and fresh. I also tried their banana pudding which was pretty good. Could have more cookies and add whipped cream, but that's my personal taste. My second trip on the advice of my boyfriend I got the bbq sandwich which you can get with Cole slaw on and then add their vinegar bbq sauce and that was WAY better!! The tangy and creamy together was great. I also go their 3 piece tender snack pack. Wow these tenders were enormous! I had to take them home. One was as big as my hand! Also shared a hotdog with slaw on it and that was meh. I wouldn't get that again didn't care for the hotdog wasn't big enough or juicy enough.

Everything was beyond delicious. We love making Culver's our once a week order out meal. After this past trip, Culver's makes it back to the top choice list. Cannot say enough about this spot. What arrived at my table was a burger, completely wrong order, tomato included. When I brought it to the counter to have it corrected, instead of a simple apology and a swap, I was met with interrogation. A staff member began asking me to essentially prove that my order was wrong, requesting a specific part of the packaging before she'd agree to fix it. She then walked back to our table with me to inspect the receipt and my family's food for herself. I've never in my life had to prove that a restaurant made an error on my order in order to get it corrected. I was polite and even smiled when I took the receipt and the wrong order back to the counter and asked for a correction. The person who responded instantly made me a suspect. I guess, I forgot what part of the South I was in. The correct sandwich did eventually arrive, but by that point the experience had already soured the meal entirely. I won't be returning to this location.
