I think it's safe to say that I'm OBSESSED with Cook Out thanks to this specific location! The first time I tried Cook Out was in Raleigh and listen, it felt like I had a bad hangover the next day. I do not have a Cook Out hangover feeling at the Wake Forest location and honestly, I think I'm too scared to go to any other location. There's a reason why people love Cook Out. It's fast, it's cheap, and let's be real...it's the only fast food place open after 11pm in Wake Forest. I'm still learning about Cook Out, especially customizing shakes! I just learned that you can order cheesecakes, too! Mind. Blown. The double cheeseburger with everything on it and the hushpuppies are definitely my go-to menu items. I also love the malt shake and the banana pudding shake with extra nilla wafers. The quesadillas are pretty good, too. So far, everything I've tried is really good and the tray is a great way to try new things for cheap. That's the other thing! Cook Out is super affordable and you can get a lot of bang for your buck. I've been eating at Cook Out since 2005 when I moved to NC and THIS one is by far the best one! The inside was very clean. The cashier was friendly. My food (chicken sandwich & fries) was very good! It had an extra fresh taste! I like how there's a hand wash station to use separate from the 2 restrooms (1 mens & 1 womens) I will definitely be going back! read more

We went the day they opened and have been back again once. The service was friendly and efficient. Both times staff were at the counter waiting to take orders. Our food came out quickly just as ordered it. It was fresh and delicious. There is a lot of seating, and it's clean and inviting. Staff didn't seem to care you were there! Burger was ok but not great, fries barely warm and soggy, quesadilla was pitiful - had to look hard to find any chicken! Onion rings were ok but but hot, but could tell they had been frozen. No condiments out, had to ask for everything and drink machines were turned off - staff didn't know what to do, another customer actually turned them on! At least it was clean..... arrived at 8pm on a friday night and the drive thru line was wrapped around the building. they had a kid at the entrance giving paper menus to the cars, someone towards the back of the line taking orders into her speaker phone to the staff in the restaurant and someone helping guide the line so cars could get in and out. from start to finish it took 23 min to get my food, and everything was PERFECT. i get a lot of toppings on my burger and they didn't miss a single one. my fries were the perfect texture and the onion rings were delicious. read more
