It's not fancy; it's just good. Come here for "fast food" you got when you were a kid in the 70's. There's no health-woke options. If you can't cook it on a grill top or deep fry it you probably will not find it here. The onion rings were great and there was enough for my wife and me to share. Her BLT was loaded with bacon - there had to be 6 full bacon strips on the sandwich. Strawberry milkshake- couldn't suck the strawberries through the straw! They have a range of things from hamburgers, fish burgers, chicken sandwhiches, chicken fried steak burgers, to tacos, nachos, egg rolls, and fried fish baskets. It looked so good, and easily could be shared between 2 people. We saw another table with nachos, they weren't too bad looking either. For a Friday night, this place was bumping. It's definitely got that "hole in a wall" feel but it's clean, quaint and family friendly. Chocolate malts are on point (as long as they don't forget to add the malt). They also have good ranch, and anyone from Texas knows that's important. The waitresses are always sweet and charming, maybe slightly frazzled from the high number of orders they receive. The drive thru line is almost always to the road, but don't let that scare you away. I cannot express how much I love this place. All the Brenham locals come here for the best burgers, malts and sides in Texas in my opinion. Prices are cheap and you get a ton of food! Do NOT skip past this place, even though it looks old and dingy on the outside. Drive through is decently fast. Service is not all sugary and in your face nice, but it's not rude either. Just to the point, small town local people running the place. Haven't tried their Tex Mex, but I've heard it's good too. Fried okra and tater tots are my favorite sides. The patties are hand formed, lightly seasoned, the meat was perfectly cooked and crumbled nicely with each bite. We also ordered the deluxe nachos and a taco, which both had deliciously seasoned ground beef and the nachos were covered in a nacho cheese sauce. The corn dog, seasoned fries and tater tots did not appear to be made in house, but were properly cooked, hot, and also of excellent quality. If the great meal wasn't enough, the cost for a family of 5 was fantastic!!! Have not a clue how they keep the prices so cheap. $1.50 for a super Yummy grilled cheese and $2 for the best Blue Bell strawberry shake. No changing tables as the restrooms are clean but super tiny so if looking for a place to change the baby on a trip, do stop here but use your car as a changing table.
