Ambience is burger joint ambience, nothing special except the amazing smell coming from the kitchen. I ordered the pub burger and onion rings. I love the fact that it came with mustard. The burger was outstanding and the onion rings were fried perfectly. Definitely good quality here! We came at a very busy time with a large group, so I won't say anything bad about the service. The food did all come out at the same time though, so no one was left sitting awkwardly. First visit but not our last. Three of us came to try their Smash Burgers which were amazing. The fries are homemade, wish the onion rings were. We had water with our meal, however the cups are very flimsy. Come prepared to wait about 30 minutes but the food is worth it. This is a brand new spot just off 290 in Brenham, back behind all the warehouses and firemen's training center. Indoor and outdoor seating. You can really smell the grill inside. Not a bad thing, but if it's too much, the outdoor seating is covered. Right now, the menu limited but everything they do they do just right! Smash burgers, pulled pork, hand cut fries and onion rings. They have bottles & cans of beer, water, and soda, and a decent lineup of gelato flavors! The prices were fair and the portions were more than generous! We had plenty to eat, took leftovers home, and wish I had more space to try the gelato. The guys running the place are great. They love what they do and it shows. Only open Saturdays through Tuesdays for now but they'll add hours as they have the capacity. read more

I may have just eaten the best burger I've had in the past year at this restaurant. Their basic double smashburger and small fries took me right back to working at the famous original Jucy's Hamburgers in Longview, TX. If Matthew McConaughey swears by Jucy's, and he knows a thing or two about burgers, they must be good. Buckin Burger's quality of food reminds me of that. Great quality burgers, crispy hand cut fries, and reasonable prices. Plus, they also have space for live music if you want it, and it looks like they might try putting in a drive through as well. If I was working at Dairy Bar or any of the other burger restaurants in the City of Brenham, I might be pretty nervous about Buckin Burger. This is a place you need to come try. read more

Staff was friendly and the place was clean with a fair amount of inside and outside seating. It's tucked away in an industrial park area but worth checking out. What a long journey and lesson from the universe led me to this place. I set out for barbecue to look for new restaurants around the Brenham area and the first barbecue restaurant that we went to was sold out of meat and then upon traversal to the next barbecue joint in town lo and behold they were closed for a private event at this point I was frustrated and irritated. But the first thing that popped up on the restaurant list when I was looking for a third place about to admit defeat was this gem. My spirits were quickly elated as I realized their menu contained only burger fry on onion ring. My hopes in my spirit were rising. On our way to the place we were in the middle of nowhere only cows and green grass. Things were looking up. Pulling into the place there was a smoker outside and harmonica music playing on the patio. I didn't realize that likely fate had planned for me to visit this place all along and experience the best burger of my life. Silly ungrateful me for being irritated at my first two stops. Ordered the double smash burger, onion rings and fries. Onion rings super crunchy super tasty. Fries fresh cut seasoned perfectly. The burger had those perfect crispy, smash edges, perfectly seasoned and toasted bun done exactly as perfect as you would expect from a place that only has burgers on the menu. I'm grateful not only for the amazing burger, but for this lesson in maturity and patience from the universe. The burgers are delicious! The best fresh cut fries I've ever had. The service is hit and miss. If someone looks up from grill area and sees you, you'll be helped shortly. Saying that; they do come find you when your order is ready. VERY small seating area. They get very busy very quickly. Which is a testament for the food. Parking is almost non existent! If there is parking there is no signage. As you attempt to place your order there is NO directions as to where to order or what is the process. It was a little bit of a maze to find this place but it was totally worth it. We were greeted when we came in and the staff was helpful and friendly. We ordered the double smash burgers and fries and onion rings. Whew! The burgers were BIG and amazing! The beef is prime, which is a rare thing, and you can tell the difference. The fries are hand cut and seasoned with salt and pepper. They were perfect. The onion rings were delicious too! They make their own ice cream and desserts. My husband had the homemade pecan ice cream and he really enjoyed it! He said it wasn't overly sweet and had plenty of pecans. The food here is outstanding, that being said there is not one reason it should take 45 minutes to get hamburgers and fries. It's not like the menu is extravagant... burgers and fries. This place has massive potential, but it will not make it based on the turtle speed that the burgers come out. Suggestions to the owner... I watched the griddle sit empty while the restaurant stayed was full. Maybe have patties pre patted out and have the griddle loaded with meat!!!!!
