Hands down my favorite place to have a cocktail in Brenham! My 3 favorites, in this order, are: 1. Lavender Lemonade Rose 2. Old Fashioned 3. Espresso Martini The second you walk into Floyd's, you are transported to swanky town! The vibe is out of this world! It's lounge-y. It's comfy. It makes you want to hang out and stay a while! And the back patio with the live music is just icing on the cake. Love the French bread loaf with salted butter and the small bites they offer, but if you want something more substantial, they've usually got a food truck with the BEST pizza in town. And the bartenders are some of the best in the business. They're not just servers - they're mixologists who love trying new things and getting it JUST right! Love the bar, love the vibe but it all goes away with the lack of service. The bartender did not even acknowledge newcomers. Such a shame that this bar should be a 10 out of 10, but customer service matters! Would have given a 5 star if only an ounce of effort was made! read more

Took a trip to my hometown of Brenham and found this gem. I was pleasantly surprised! Who would have thought a place this nice would be in little ole Brenham. For a second there, I forgot where I was. Like whattt?! The decor is super cute. If I would have visited with a friend, we would have definitely taken tons of photos. I sat at the bar and met this guy who suggested a cocktail called "London Fog". I'm not a huge fan of gin, but I gave it a go and all I have to say is WOW! It was absolutely delicious. Went on to try a spicy margarita and dirty martini, and let's just say the bartender knew what he was doing. Koodos to Austin! So listen..a little birdie told me that this place doesn't get much traffic. Why? Idk, because if you haven't visited, you're truly missing out. If you happen to visit Brenham (Blue Bell Country), make sure you stop by and grab a cocktail. read more

I spent a few months on and off in Brenham over the last year, and Floyds was by far my favorite place to go each night. The drinks are great in all the staff are super nice. If you have a drink you want that isn't on the menu just tell them and they'll make it (assuming they have the ingredients, I'm looking at you, Austin!). I think I requested a Sazerac so many times I'm the reason he had to buy absinthe. Next time I'm in town I'll absolutely not leave without stopping by again. read more

First time to visit was for my son's surprise birthday party in September. It has a very cozy, laid back feel. Staff were great and knowledgeable. We had just the bread and oils, plus a few of their specials to drink. Great selection, will definitely stop by the next time we are downtown. read more

every time we are in Brenham my girlfriend and I have to have some drinks at Floyd's. The ambience is amazing. There has definitely been some real thought given to the color scheme and the artwork. Even the bathrooms are amazing considering they are super clean and offer floss pics and mouthwash. The outdoor patio is inviting and is a great option if you don't want to sit inside where it's a little bit dark. They have a huge list of specialty drinks and I've yet to find one that is not tasty. They also have an excellent selection of hard to find specialty bourbons. I finally got to try George Stagg at this place since it's almost impossible to find. I really like Floyd's and I know will be back for future visits. read more

I've been here a couple times. Great atmosphere, but if you sit in the right spot you can see the staff eating customer's leftovers in the kitchen. I saw a waitress take food from the table she's waiting on back to the kitchen. Togo boxes on the guests table. They're getting ready to leave, so the food the waitress is clearing is clearly half eaten. I saw the waitress take a bite of the food in the kitchen and the other three employees total gathered around to also enjoy a bite. I thought that was it but two more plates were cleared and then again sampled by the staff in the kitchen. I messaged Floyd's Facebook about this and the person responsible for the Facebook messaging tried to convince me that this table they were eating from was somehow friends of the restaurant... still disgusting and no excuse for a staff to be eating where they are cooking. I was very impressed with Floyd's atmosphere and what they could grow to be, but beyond unimpressed with the lack of concern for the staff eating LEFT OVER FOOD in the kitchen read more

I've been to Floyd's a handful of times, the wine and food are very expensive, especially for a small town. Some of their wines are good, but of course they are the most expensive. The food is expensive and mediocre at best. The service is also mediocre, I won't be back. You can find better wine, food and service at multiple other locales in Brenham. Steer clear! read more

You'll definitely an Instagram worthy night out at Floyd's Lounge between their well designed food, stunning drinks, and chic decor! They have a huge array of wine for purchase as well as what's behind the bar, and offer a variety of snacks and bites to eat. Their frito pie is a bit life changing and the potato soup is DELICIOUS. Their food is super fresh and plated so beautifully. They have indoor and outdoor seating, and even allow dogs on the outside patio! There's live music every weekend and great music even when there's not a live act. I especially love in the women's bathroom that they have hair bands, tampons, tooth flossers, and mouthwash available for use for free. (My partner said there was mouthwash and floss picks available for the men as well). As a woman, it's such a relief to find a place that embraces women and the things we often need for a night out but don't want to carry. If a business goes that far above and beyond, they get my loyalty and love for sure!! read more

Floyd's is a comfortable-looking little bar with a chill vibe and funky seating. Outdoor is where they had music - good table space and table arrangement. The stage is super-high and a bit strange. Not intimate, for sure. The Salad is good if overpriced, the hummus platter bland, and the margarita weak. What's up with the kitchsy wooden utensils? Ever try to eat a salad with a stubby plywood fork with fat tines? It's an unpleasant experience at best. Wood texture on the tongue is gross. Finally, and the isn't Floyd's fault, really: more obnoxious patrons trying to shriek over the music at each other ruined the show for the rest of us. STFU people. I'll start with the bad. The food is definitely overpriced! We ordered the meatballs which was $14. She brought the bowl over and there were 4 tiny meatballs with tons of sauce. No bread, and horrible wooden utensils to eat them with. The sauce was overwhelming, and the meatballs were tough. It made it hard to eat them. Not much for the price. Tasted like something frozen that was heated up. It is a cute bar, with a chill atmosphere. Go there for drinks, but be careful of what you order. read more

Tastefully executed little spot. Wines, beers and bites (which are prepared by the owner of the dearly departed funky art cafe). Nice wine list that include some premium selections with Coravin. Only downside is that there are few wines in my sweetspot of $15-20. It's either under $14 or over $25. My advice is to splurge for the better stuff. read more
