Although the kitchen was preparing food for all the vehicles outside, we received our food in less than 10 minutes . I noticed my burger tasted a bit odd because the pickles and lettuce were quite chilled, and yet the beef patty seemed lukewarm at best and it did not even attempt to melt the cheese that had been placed upon it; same situation for my wife's hamburger. The cheese just sat there on the hamburger patty, not budging, not melting not getting gooey just sitting there. While her french fry order was hot and fresh, my onion ring order was rather lukewarm and crispy and yet also somewhat rubbery. Kind of weird for a fried product unless it had been fried and then possibly reheated in the microwave and served to me. It became obvious to both of us that the kitchen staff had simply pre-cooked some hamburger patties and set them aside and plopped them on hamburger buns and then they added the chilled mustard, lettuce, onions, and pickles. I hope that someone from the restaurant actually reads this review because across the highway I'd be willing to bet that there are several eating establishments that are about to go in providing us with more dining options.

That is why families are still buying Kraft Mac and cheese in the box, people. Even without the box, all I need to make better Mac and cheese is elbow macaroni, whole milk, and cheddar cheese (plus salt and pepper to taste). I would put the pasta and the whole milk into a pot and stir it on a medium heat until the pasta is cooked, then turn the fire off and stir in the cheese a little bit at a time, until it melts all the way. Season with salt and pepper to taste. It's not that hard. The Dr. Pepper I had to opt for (because they were out of sweet tea, and apparently not making anymore because of the shortened Sunday hours) did little to improve the situation. In fact, just made me less upset about it. It seems as the employees cared more about getting their Labor Day off than they did about my experience. I'm a first time customer. Tossed at our request it could have been served at the fanciest steakhouse in Texas. Might consider a pepper grinder behind the counter. Both of our pizzas were delicious. My modified Dominic kept the Alfredo Sauce, chopped Basil, Asiago, Sausage, and Red Onion. Added Roasted Garlic and Mushrooms and got rid of the Tomato slices. MOD is quick and basically blows away just about any national pizza chain in quality and product. Skip the HUT and Dominos and go here instead. The tenders were good. I wasn't hungry enough to try everything on the buffet, but if you are, it's probably a good deal. They have a slightly wimpy but adequate salad bar, and a nice array of hot sides. The mashed potatoes were good, you could choose between cream or brown gravy, and the other sides looked good. A buffet that includes the drink is a nice touch. The service was not great. My not very friendly cashier gave me a styrofoam plate (school lunch leftovers I think, with a section marked MILK, ), but not a real tray, and gave no explanation on how to approach seconds at the buffet. While I was there, two different customers had to go ask for a new plate, and almost always had to wait because the cashier was busy elsewhere. When I knocked over my drink, I mopped up what I could with napkins then notified the counter people. They were so unrestrained I wasn't sure they'd even heard me, but one did grab a mop and bucket. I apologized to them as they cleaned up, but no one ever said anything. I don't expect them to be happy about an extra clean up, but decent customer service requires at least acknowledging an embarrassed and apologetic customer!!
