    Perfection on a plate

Well...this is about as American as you can get. Super friendly service. She knew everyone by name who came thru the front door. Everything was piping hot!...Amazing pancakes ...top of the line bacon and fresh eggs. Biscuits fresh out of the oven...seriously couldn't have been a better experience! And this is why the wife drives when we are cruising cross country...As navigator I'm in charge of keeping us feed...found this on the fly and would go back in a second!

    Delicious pancakes!

We got a table right away at 9:30am on a Thursday. The biscuit and pancakes were delicious! The ham & cheese omelette had lots of ham and was very filling. I didn't care for the hash browns because there was too much seasoning for my taste and they were a bit greasy. Service was excellent! This is where the locals go and the staff knows them. The decor is sports oriented with nicely framed memorabilia. We were lucky to get a parking spot. We'd definitely go again.

I m so glad my sister recommended this place. The waitress and service we received was excellent. The food was good ole Southern comfort food. I would definitely recommend this place if you are wanting some home cooking. Just remember to bring cash!

The best jalapeno cheese burger in the Universe…read more They get VERY busy at times, so be patient. The service here I have always felt in a scale of 1-10 is a 9 or 10. Pro tip : Call ahead for the burger, it's ready in 20 to 25 minutes. If there is a line to order / pay, stand to the left of the line for pay/ pickup. I don't believe it is marked as such ? Ambiance is not fancy, but clean.

NEWSFLASH.....THIS JUST IN ..LOCAL COUPLE HAS SUBPAR MEAL AT THE DAIRYBAR…read more Yep, that's right! My wife and I had a surprisingly bad meal at the dairy bar. We thought about using the drive-through but that line was extremely long with oversized trucks and SUVs and such so we decided to park and walk in ; the dining area was surprisingly not busy. Maybe three tables were occupied; we were able to order immediately. I ordered a cheeseburger with onion rings and a Sprite and my wife ordered a cheeseburger french fries and an unsweet tea with extra ice. Although the kitchen was preparing food for all the vehicles outside, we received our food in less than 10 minutes . I noticed my burger tasted a bit odd because the pickles and lettuce were quite chilled, and yet the beef patty seemed lukewarm at best and it did not even attempt to melt the cheese that had been placed upon it; same situation for my wife's hamburger. The cheese just sat there on the hamburger patty, not budging, not melting not getting gooey just sitting there. While her french fry order was hot and fresh, my onion ring order was rather lukewarm and crispy and yet also somewhat rubbery. Kind of weird for a fried product unless it had been fried and then possibly reheated in the microwave and served to me. It became obvious to both of us that the kitchen staff had simply pre-cooked some hamburger patties and set them aside and plopped them on hamburger buns and then they added the chilled mustard, lettuce, onions, and pickles. I hope that someone from the restaurant actually reads this review because across the highway I'd be willing to bet that there are several eating establishments that are about to go in providing us with more dining options.

We got a quiche, the Blue Bayou, the Millennial Falcon, and two different coffees. Obviously the important thing is parking which was easy on a Sunday morning because really where is everybody in central Texas at that time during the week? Place was HUGE but comfortable at the same time. They had a corner with games and toys for families and kids. The spice section had delicious flavored sugars that we didn't get because our four year old was ready to go. Breakfast was the perfect size. Sometimes you expect a really large portion then feel disgusting but the amount they gave was just right. They all came with a side of fruit and yogurt. Coffee was a little sweet and less coffee than flavor but that's okay because we were expecting that. The German chocolate coffee drink is the way to go. Overall a good experience.

I tried to order a Small iced latte, and she rang me up for it and made my drink. Turns out... they don't have cups for a small latte. So without my knowledge, she just made a latte in a medium cup with one shot of espresso and filled the rest of the cup up with milk. Medium cups typically get 2 shots of espresso for reference. So I was essentially served milk with a touch of coffee. It was awful!!! I would have at least appreciated some communication about them not having a small cup because I would've ordered something else, but the employee was not easy to talk to lol

However, we felt like our food was just OK. We got the calamari and there wasn't anything unique about it, but it was good. My Caesar salad was a little odd. It did not taste like Cesar at all. The lasagna was just ok. We were quite disappointed in the chicken fried steak. It did not seem like it was seasoned at all, the batter was very bland and unfortunately, adding salt and pepper didn't do much because it would've been better if the batter itself was seasoned. I would return to this location, but maybe not have my hopes up so much to have a good meal. The prices are fair for what you get.

We had a few people cancel before coming in. Once again, nobody answered the phone before we arrived. The server wasn't inviting when we arrived. He said, you told us a table for 15. We could hear how he spoke to other customers too. We did actually get our water refilled from one of the other staff. The server didn't offer us any dessert. We felt rushed to leave. One guest asked for dessert and he said they one had one type of dessert. The staff at the hotel wasn't friendly either. We stopped by to look around and not one person spoke to us. We left and went to Must Be Heaven for dessert. We should've gone there for lunch but we wanted to support another local business.
