They say they are open at 2 but we make it at 4:50 and they are closed. Even the sign on the door says open but the door is locked.

DISCRIMINATORY, we sat down at opening to have a glass of wine and were told AGGRESSIVELY that a…read moreservice dog is a health violation which is untrue. I tried to tell this very aggressive and scary man my animal is a service dog who is protected under state and federal law. He got in my husbands face as my husband (a former mega night club manager who is a pro at the art of de-escalation) and was angry because I disagreed with him, we were literally leaving walking out the door and he told us loudly in front of other patrons to "GET THE F OUT" There were 2 older women who also just sat down, I'm sure this altercation altered their overall experience as patrons. This man is ignorant and a liability and from other locals an ongoing issue. We could have very easily been told to have sat on their empty patio and given them our buisness but this man's ego and disrespect for women was more important than being ADA Compliant. Disability can happen to anyone at anytime and I feel so violated and humiliated. This human is scary, I hope he can find the help he needs to treat people as someone in the service industry with an ounce of dignity and respect. There is a way to communicate and interact with other people easily and respectfully and he was more interested in embarrassing us and getting us out of their EMPTY establishment. As per the locals, this place isn't busy for a reason and this is it.

It gives everything a cozy, charming feel with a lot of character. Parking, though, can be tricky. It's limited, and if you're wearing heels, the rocky ground and steep hill can make it a bit of a challenge when the lot fills up. We had reservations but arrived a little early, and they were able to seat us without an issue. Service was solid overall. The staff was quick to let us know what items were unavailable, which helped with decision-making. I did notice a dish being served that wasn't on the menu, and when I asked about it, we found out it was a seafood and noodle special. Two of us decided to try it. For food, we started with the sautéed garlic ricotta appetizer, which was a standout. It had a really nice balance of mild sweetness and savory flavor. The eggplant parmesan was huge and easily shareable between two people, with great flavor throughout. Honestly, most of the portions felt big enough to split. I ordered the seafood special, and while the flavor was decent, the shrimp were consistently overcooked and chewy, which made it hard to enjoy. The mussels were the highlight of the dish, though they reminded me of the frozen kind you can heat up at home. Overall, it was an okay experience. Not somewhere I'd go out of my way to recommend, but if it were the only option in town, I'd consider going back.

We were greeted by a waitress who was very friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. It's a true hole-in-the-wall spot located in a very cute part of town in Brenham. Saw that an old Taco places had people sitting down and eating so we gave it ago. The owner was super friendly and sat us without a reservation. When I say surprised, cheated and floored that we didn't notice the change in restaurants in the year and a half they've been opened! The servers were first off some of the kindest ones. Each of them that came to our table we're awesome. This old lady didn't catch the name to our server, but he deserves extra points for answering all my questions and allowing me to take menus back to the hotel I work at! My hubby and I weren't starving and we decided to share a small plate and one main dish. The Mozzarella Tartine had an excellent taste. N ended to be less charred. A bit difficult to cut into with a butter knife. The Steak Frites my friends was one of our top favorite piece of steak we have had since moving to Texas 26 years ago!! We could cut the meat with our forks. The fries were perfectly seasoned and crisp and that aioli -- I will take a bottle! Restaurant had perfect lighting and truly classy looking decor. This is a place you need to bring your significant other or best friend and enjoy. We were told that their lunch menu basically stays the same, but their dinner and brunch menu change on occasion and last night was obviously their special occasion menu.
