Great drinks. Bar staff are super friendly and accommodating. While the bar is in the very back, there are rooms to enjoy your libations with your friends. Fun place to start your Round Top day.

The staff, the vibes, the drinks, the spot were all perfection! They accommodated our group, gave us great drinks and we had a great time.

Busy afternoon at the Ellis Motel!

Go here often now and always love it. The Bartender even usually already knows what we are going to drink! Great atmosphere and nice people all the time in a very nice old venue!

Disappointed. Always love stopping here. Group of 8 and had my 6 year old granddaughter with us, again. New signs up saying NOONE under 21 inside or out. Went a few months ago and the sign specified no one under 21 after 5. We were there at 4pm. So we took our business to Koopers Whiskey and had a great time and all were welcome. Then down to Crown Bar in La Grange. OMG from 5-7. Amazing Old Fashioneds and great mixology. Saw several dogs go in though. They're fine. Saw a few leave with ToGo beverages, even one pair of ladies just leaving with their glass glasses. Just a suggestion for Ennis. Don't bend the knee to the masses. If a minor isn't behaving, eject the whole crew. For those of us whose kids are wonderful., welcome us all and make some money. Cheers.

Fun little spot with pretty cocktails. My drink had a sprig of rosemary. Delightful! One of the locals suggested we go, so we did. I don't know the origin of the name, but it is not an actual motel (unless I missed something). The bar has several small lounging rooms and a small bar with stools. There aren't many places in the small town of 86 people, but each place uses their space well and has their own country feel. This town is a Texas gem!

Super cool. Sit out under the stars or settle into one of the rooms for some high in drinks or bottled beer. This is a place to kick back and relax. If /when you are in Roundtop Texas put it on you "to do" list!

You're waisting time drinking anywhere else. Best drinks in Round Top are served by Emma & Bianca.

Very cute place... I'll give them that, but zero hospitality, and overpriced drinks for the quality of taste.

The Stone Cellar is to the left and from there you can just order the food from the counter, whereas the lounge you will get table service. Given that this place also hosts live music, trying it out during the day when there wasn't a band (or crowds) made for an enjoyable lunch outing. I would say the menu has pub/bar fare and given that we were both craving pizza and a hamburger, we decided to order one of each to split. The staff also mentioned the Fried Gouda Bites are popular, so we opted for those as well. Let's start with the latter - the Fried Gouda bites were amazing, everything you could expect from freshly deep-fried cheese, decadent and tasty, these are a must order. For the burger, we ordered The Standard, and as the name suggests, their standard burger (I call these "diner-style") and my brother and I both agreed - this is damn near the perfect burger and the best one I've had in quite some time. It was just the perfect amalgamation meat, condiments, and sauce, with a delicious bun holding it all in together. Finally, the margarita pesto pizza was also great - crispy thin crust and just the right amount of cheese and sauce. So, don't overlook the Stone Cellar as a place to go see some live music, it has some amazingly delicious food as well. We will be back next year.

Greeted with a smile and took our order, paid and got a number to take to our table. I had the fish taco special and it was cooked perfectly. We also had the cowgirl junky thin pizza which hit the spot. Each of us got the lavender ranch water which was refreshing and flavorful. Can't wait to explore more and maybe hear some music this weekend.

Saw that an old Taco places had people sitting down and eating so we gave it ago. The owner was super friendly and sat us without a reservation. When I say surprised, cheated and floored that we didn't notice the change in restaurants in the year and a half they've been opened! The servers were first off some of the kindest ones. Each of them that came to our table we're awesome. This old lady didn't catch the name to our server, but he deserves extra points for answering all my questions and allowing me to take menus back to the hotel I work at! My hubby and I weren't starving and we decided to share a small plate and one main dish. The Mozzarella Tartine had an excellent taste. N ended to be less charred. A bit difficult to cut into with a butter knife. The Steak Frites my friends was one of our top favorite piece of steak we have had since moving to Texas 26 years ago!! We could cut the meat with our forks. The fries were perfectly seasoned and crisp and that aioli -- I will take a bottle! Restaurant had perfect lighting and truly classy looking decor. This is a place you need to bring your significant other or best friend and enjoy. We were told that their lunch menu basically stays the same, but their dinner and brunch menu change on occasion and last night was obviously their special occasion menu.

This place is located in Montgomery technically but is right next to Conroe you can see the lake driving up it was so beautiful. It's a prohibition style speakeasy with the hidden door and the ambiance is so beautiful inside with an amazing bar and just a great vibe. We loved how the waitresses were dressed in dresses from the time it was so classy and fun. And we went on a night they had live music and it was sooo good. Now let's talk about the drinks there were so many choices of cocktails bourbon whiskey you name it. I let the waitress pick mine it was something with pear and it was yummy. We both loved our drinks. My husband loved his old fashion. The food was absolutely delicious we enjoyed the crab toast and lamb lollipop and the Chilean sea bass which were all to die for. Oh and Lavendar creme brûlée for dessert. We met Rob and his wife the owners who are the nicest people and now we can't wait to come back with friends to salsa night. If you're looking for a nice dinner spot with great drinks food and music on certain nights just the best service you have to come try this location you won't be disappointed. Our waitress was admittedly new, but when our food arrived an hour and a half later, it was so disappointing. Three of us ordered ribeyes, and none of them were cooked to our order; plus, they were charred on the bottom & sides. The wagyu burger was burned as well. We also ordered a bottle of wine, but the first 3 choices were out of stock!? Really? Our choice was to jump into a $60.00 or $80.00 bottle. The service team never checked in on how our food tasted or how we were doing. It's like they knew that they ruined our dinner and experience. About this, they call it a speakeasy because the doorway is a bookcase that is as obvious as the nose on your face. The dude hosting the stand at the door, did not even ask if we enjoyed ourselves. For these prices, they should be ashamed of the food they served us. Seriously! Do not waste a dime here. I am making sure everyone I know does not make the mistake we did.

Located off Anderson Mill in the corner of a strip mall is a bookshelf with a door on the right side. If you cannot figure out the entrance, there is a doorbell to ring as well. I believe it is owned by the same people who own The Mill bar right next door, which makes it feel like a cool bonus space. My friend and I sat next to a faux fireplace, where we were greeted by the only bartender working and placed our order. Once he opened the tab, it was disappointing that he never came back to check if we wanted another drink. It wasn't super busy on the Monday we went, but since he was the only one manning the bar, the bartender was always doing something, so I don't blame him fully for not checking back in with us. I ordered a drink called the Velvet Vice. It looked nothing like the picture and tasted similar to an Aviation cocktail with egg whites. I happened to really like it. It is a very relaxed space, but once the speakeasy gimmick wears off, it does not have much else going for it. It is still a cool place, but I am not sure it was worth the lengthy drive to get there.
