They even have some cute SloDoCo merch to take home! We've enjoyed every SloDoCo location we've visited, but if you're in Paso Robles, definitely stop by--you're in for a treat!

They were open and we were feeling a bit peckish and can always make room for a donut or two. So we made a U turn and off we went. The shop is on a corner lot with its own parking lot. Plenty of street parking as well. As we walked in , I quickly saw the glass counter full of picture perfect, colorful donuts sitting pretty waiting for us. These donuts were beautiful. No crinkling and buckling in the frosting. Donut frosting is tricky to get smooth. So many different types of donuts making it hard to decide. We ordered a couple of cake donuts (vanilla with pink frosting and chocolate on chocolate) and a raised chocolate glaze. Mmm. The raised donut was light and airy with the prefect slight yeasty chew. The chocolate glaze was awesome. I've eaten a lot of donuts in my lifetime, these are 5 stars. Besides donuts they serve other pastries; scones, danishes, croissants, and cookies. Breakfast burritos and breakfast sandwiches $8.95. Quiche ( whole $29.95 or slice $6.95). Local Steins bagels $4 toasted with cream cheese. There is no seating indoors. There were a few tables out on the lawn.We sat at one of the outside tables under the big ole shade tree. Leisurely eating our donuts taking a slow down and soaking in life.

The locals came by to order: An old guy had an apple fritter. A couple kids biking to their first day at school had cinnamon bar and a Dr. Pepper, and a rainbow sprinkle and a Sprite. Another man had a dozen mixed. I had a chocolate peanut donut and a medium coffee for under 5 bucks. Templeton has a genuine small town feel: a sleepy Main Street (in another era Highway 101), a central park with a bandstand, quiet at night, and no streetlights. This shop is in a barn-like structure with 3 tables inside and some tables on the lawn outside, as opposed to a strip mall. (But there's a NRA sign on the lawn. Hmm. It is cowboy country.) A nice stop on the way home from a camping trip.

Everyone is nice, welcoming, and makes you feel right at home. On this visit, we shared the Shishito Peppers and Chopped Salad, along with a few cocktails. I ordered the Fried Chicken, which was the Wednesday special, and my wife chose the Shrimp & Grits. Both the salad and Shishito Peppers were on point. The Fried Chicken came out hot and fresh, and they definitely give you plenty. The flavor was good, but most of the seasoning was in the crust rather than the meat itself. Without the crust, the chicken didn't have quite enough seasoning for my taste. That said, the crust was crispy, flavorful, and definitely did its job. Now, the Shrimp & Grits were a HIT! Buttery deliciousness and a straight-up flavor bomb! The grits were perfectly cooked, and the shrimp were tender, buttery, and delicious. Definitely a winner. Whether you're popping in for a cocktail and some snacks or sitting down for a full meal, either way, you won't be disappointed. The Hatch has a great atmosphere, good food, and friendly service. We always enjoy our visits, and this one was no different. I highly recommend The Hatch!

The one thing I don't understand is the pricing - why is there a discount for the duo and trio, but then when adding a fourth, it's an extra $10? Kinda confusing.

Kennedy was our server and she was great, warm, attentive, and made us feel so welcome. I ordered their Kale Caesar salad and it was not your typical Caesar but in the best way. It had raisins, red onion, crushed pistachios and the dressing had these subtle mustard seeds that gave it this bright, slightly tangy pop. It's their unique take on a Caesar and I'm officially obsessed. I'm definitely going to try to replicate this at home! My boyfriend ordered the soup and sandwich, and once I tried a spoonful of the soup, I instantly ordered a cup of my own. It was the corn and shishito pepper soup, velvety, a little smoky, and had just the right kick without being overly spicy. So, so good! Their menu changes seasonally, and since they are a true farm-to-table restaurant, the best way to see what's currently offered is to check their website. If you're looking for a perfect lunch spot in Paso, especially before wine tasting, definitely give them a visit. It's charming, delicious, and just feels good to be there.

You have to get the Korean Fried Cauliflower or KFC drizzled with the OMG gochujang sauce! One bite and game over!! That beautiful bold, spicy n sweet addicting umami flavor! This is from the heart and taste buds of a guy who used to love steak, burgers and could eat 3 double whoppers at BK with large fries and still have room for dessert! We requested more sauce as we were just in love with this item. The very kind gentleman at the counter ( his 21st birthday day is on Tuesday 10/28) gave us a big container. We then turned to the Taquitos with the chipotle and Julio sauces and just closed our eyes and relished every bite. The chef was smiling as he saw us really enjoying this meal. The mushrooms on the burger were divine. The melted cheese was amazing. Our smiles got bigger as we realized we had more of these Korean Fried Cauliflower bites in the untouched Cauli bowl. So extra sauce and even more fun! You can order on the computer outside or walk in and do so at the counter. There are 3 tables with seating for 10 and a couple outside. Loved that NASCAR was in the tele and they had paper and crayons for the kids. They have a dual set up with Sylvester's ( non veg food) also in the same location but they prepare the food in separate stations. Love that! Ziggy's is a must stop. I will look for your 5 star review real soon. Enjoy!

This place is so aggressively cute that I spent the first ten minutes just blinking at the decor in a state of pure sensory overload. It's the kind of cozy that makes you want to wrap yourself in a blanket and take a nap right there on the tablecloth. Then there are the servers. I'm convinced they are actually angels sent from above to cure my cynicism. They were so incredibly nice that I actually felt bad for ordering food--like, "How dare I ask these wonderful humans to bring me a taco when they are already providing so much emotional support?" I walked in as a regular customer and left feeling like I'd been adopted by a very polite, very efficient family. The food was, of course, spectacular. The salsa was so good that I briefly considered licking the bowl, but the servers were so classy that I decided to maintain a shred of dignity. If you enjoy being pampered in a setting that looks like it was designed by a professional "coziness consultant," get yourself to Finco Paso Robles. Just be warned: you will leave feeling slightly judged by your own home's lack of charm.
