Food was good. Could be better but definitely satisfying. Ambience was cool with friendly people and music. Bar is open and breakfast all day. I will definitely comeback several times

Salmon Croquettes, Grits, Home Fries, Blueberry Pancakes and a biscuit.

Quiet atmosphere on a cold Tuesday morning here in Atlanta. I was lucky enough to get a perfect parking spot close to the door. The server was an elder, and we loved her. We were a party of three (3). The funny thing is, we essentially ordered the same thing with very minor differences. We each had the salmon croquettes, grits, eggs, biscuit/toast. I didn't order any eggs and I also had a side of blueberry pancakes and home fries. The food was fresh, hot and really good. Prior to leaving, we met the chef and I believe he's the owner. I will bring the family on the next visit. Be sure to try D's Cafe!!

10/10 lived everything about this place. We were welcomed by who I think was D herself upon entering, and were able to sit immediately with a group of 7. The service was fast and friendly as well as knowledgeable and very familiar with the menu items. The drinks came in a timely fashion as we enjoyed the upbeat music and our food all came out perfectly. From the chicken and waffles to the midtown French toast... we also had the catfish and grits (both the fried and blackened) and the peach cobbler waffles. Everything was packed with flavor and hit the mark as far as texture technique and presentation go! Definitely would recommend and will return next time we're in town.

Brisquit platter with peach cobler hash browns and the best mac and cheese I have ever had!

Amazing! All I can say is AMAZING! Everything cooked right, nothing over, nothing under but cooked right and cooked well! Will come back here, even if I have to fly, walk or crawl!

Miss D's spot is legit. The food is great. There's ample seating and the owner is such a sweetheart. My homegirl and I stumbled across this place after deciding not to wait 2+ hours in the Slutty Vegan line. As we were about to head to our cars, we saw this place. The signage doesn't pop out at you on the first time so we literally almost passed this place by. They serve southern food but they have vegan options as well which my friend is. I ordered the salmon croquettes which I can never pass up and my friend got the vegan waffle, scramble and sausage. By the way, the make the sausage in house and it's good. The salmon croquettes were a good hefty size esp for the price. Y'all know how Atlanta can be sometimes! Charging folks $18 for two small patties. And the entree is served with grits, eggs (I got potatoes instead) and a biscuit. All for $13. Parking can be tricky though. There's no parking lot, only street so we had to walk but only a few blocks. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Black bean burger with kale and collards ( I messed with it some for the pic so you can see inside the party)

Hole in the wall you have to try. All fried food is not created equal, and this place knows the difference.

It was her genuine greeting and warm smile that opened the door to releasing any walls that were up. It was like she was a distant cousin I hadn't seen in a while. She gave us the rundown on a few questions we had about the menu and some ideas on how to put together the palate of items we were tasting for. Naturally, we started off with a cocktail while we waited for our breakfast at 230pm. Judge someone else. It was a peachy array of flavors with Jamison as the liquor base. I'm all about dark liquor if I'm going to have a sip and she recommended it so I knew it'd be good. My buddy ordered an espresso martini but subbed tequila instead of the vodka. He said it was delightful but I'm taking his word. On to the food... My buddy ordered the chicken and waffle plate and it comes with 3 whole wings. They are crispy, well-seasoned, and juicy. I can't stand an over cooked protein. The waffle was done nicely with a little heft as well. He got the Belgian style but they have specialty options with flavors such as red velvet and others. I was a little more greedy and got the specialty pancakes -banana nut- combo breakfast with sausage, eggs, and grits. However, I really wanted this chicken I had heard so much about so I got that too. Again, please go judge someone else. I enjoyed my food with no regrets in sight. The only real critiques we had were that the speed of the bar drinks could tighten up. It wasn't busy but took a while. Also, the hostess while very friendly, also rigid in the all being present to be seated. We watched my friend back his truck into the space and walk in before we could be assigned a table. But hey rules are rules it was just too hot to stand outside and wait for him to park that truck. I'll add this place to the list if breakfast dates my spouse and I have and I need Cousin Tasha to be assigned our table.

I have never in my life had Americanized Thai food (or at least been conscience of it) but this tasted every bit of that. Not a single Thai national or descendant cooking or dining in here... I should have slid out the door upon noticing this but we were HONGRY and this place was walking distance. I appreciate the big portions to help alleviate the hunger, but the food going down wasn't even close to a real Thai experience. And the general ambience was definitely off. It's unclear whether this is a casual to-go spot or a sit-down spot or a bar. The service here was confusing. You have to order drinks separately from your food, for one. Secondly, it took a solid 10 minutes for a bartender to walk behind the bar and begrudgingly explain to me what they have available. I would have ordered more but her attitude made me close the tab after one beer. We didn't get served water until after we received our food, a solid 15-20 min after being in the restaurant. It generally felt like no one wanted to be there, and the staff were just moving independently to complete tasks instead of creating a dining experience *together*. There was not a smile from a single person I interacted with. I'd most likely not return purely because the dining experience is just plain out uncomfortable. On to the food. Mostly oil and noodles except for the papaya salad, which was... okay. Again, big portions. Nice heat. But just okay. The whole cherry tomatoes on top were a little weird and screamed laziness. The tofu kee mao was... okay. Same for the chicken pad thai. Lots of oil. This food made us feel pretty tired after eating it, which I've rarely experienced eating Thai cuisine. And they were very, very stingy with the protein. My husband counted 4-5 little slivers of chicken and hella noodles. The same was true for my tofu dish. I mean... it's tofu y'all. Cheap. But I can imagine they have to cut these corners because there were about 8 staff members running around in a small space with only a few customers in for happy hour. They do have HH deals on drinks depending on the day, but I found the drinks to be overpriced and not worth it. Especially the beer. And a $10 non-alcoholic cocktail is wild imo, especially for the scanty area this area is in. They are certainly milking the fact that they are in eyeshot of the Mercedes Benz stadium. The inside is beautiful and very ~trendy~ and honestly that tells me exactly where the focus is. I'd rate this a 2, but I'm adding a star for the spotless restrooms.
