Catfish, cheese eggs, potatoes & toast

This morning i was super hungry & actually had a chance to grab something before work. I found this gem up the street! It isn't something i would choose off of appearance but i was very glad i did. The catfish was made to perfection!! I also really enjoyed my scrambled cheese eggs, in which i never order. The breakfast potatoes were nice & crispy! Service was in & out! Looks sure cbs be deceiving as inside was older folks enjoying breakfast & calm. Would recommend take out! Also am not a coffee person but had some being exhausted today & i am breezing through my day with my lite & sweet! My partner ordered French toast & said it was really good as well!

Growing up I always heard about how good the breakfast is here. Today is the day I decided to come place an order. The place is adjacent to a building in the parking lot. Due to COVID only 10 can dine in at a time. Only 3 people can be inside to order food. The cashier was nice and very respectful. Due to covid You have to wait outside for your phone. They have chairs for your wait. My food took 15-20 mins to cook which is fine with me.

My First ordering from this Establishment I got the Sausage Patty Breakfast. The Eggs were fluffy, the grits were good as well, even the toast wasn't bad and the Sausage tasted like they came from my Mother's Kitchen. Needed to say I will indeed order again for some good lunch.

The best of the best. We stopped by for brunch on a Saturday morning. This place is definitely the neighborhood's favorite. We were welcomed by the young ladies behind the register and was immediately sat down. Love how friendly everyone was here. The serving control was definitely worth it. From the food, to the portion size, to the service-- we are glad we stopped by. We were 100% satisfied.

I literally got a 2 tablespoons of grits and a 2 tablespoons of eggs. When I attempted to eat the French toast. There was shells from egg in it. I ordered powdered sugar And sugar and I never received it.This was a very disappointing delivery and I will never order from here again.

Cheapest breakfast I have had in ten years! A complete combo which consists of a meat, eggs, grits, pancakes, and toast is $4.00. I repeat $4.00. Now, let me forewarn you that this place is in the hood. There are bars covering the store front. There is no ambiance. They bring out a cup of hot water with your silverware in it. The food is good. The service is even better. Most of the patrons seem to be regulars. It was cute how one of the servers showed me pictures of her granddaughter and I am not a regular. This place has no pretensions whatsoever. If you want to try it out, go ahead, just leave any attitude you have at home.

They earned 4 stars for service, food value and flavor. 3 stars for ho-hum portions, location and facility (plastic dishes, cafeteria seating) and 2 stars for complete lack of ambiance (blasting tv and overlapping jukebox). I would go again cuz I like humble little diners but would pick my times and companions accordingly.

Good food and a great price. It's exactly what you would expect from a diner. Service was a little slow but the place was busy.

We made reservations for the 6 of us, and upon arrival we were greeted by the friendly staff. There was a line of people waiting to be seated, so we were concerned about having to wait since we were heading to the airport. We had a brief waiting period before being seated. Jasmine D, our server was prompt and very personable. The menu was full of delectable choices for brunch or lunch. We ordered the Very Berry French Toast, Chix & Pancakes & bacon, Jerk Chicken & Sweet Potato Waffles, and a Kids Cheese Scramble & bacon and grits. Everything was absolutely delicious! Our server was attentive and patient with us the entire time we were there. If you're looking for great food, a great welcoming down home ambiance and are in the area, The Breakfast Boys is a great place to go, but make reservations! They're about to hit 70 years this May, and it makes sense the second you walk in. The inside is about as classic diner as it gets. Comfortable booths, old-school feel, and a front counter with snacks, shirts, and little items for sale that just add to the charm. The staff is what really takes it over the top. Nikki has been my server multiple times, and she's amazing. She's usually singing or whistling along to whatever music is playing, and it honestly puts you in a good mood without you even realizing it. Service like that is rare. Food-wise, I've tried several things now, and everything has been great, but here are my top standouts: The catfish is one of my favorites. It comes in strips, fried perfectly, and packed with flavor. Chicken and waffles are excellent. The waffle is crispy on the outside and soft inside instead of fluffy, and it works really well. The chicken itself is seriously flavorful -- not just crispy, but seasoned really well all the way through. But the biggest surprise for me: The country ham with red-eye gravy. I'm not exaggerating when I say this might be the best ham I've ever had. It's thinly sliced, so you don't have to deal with a thick, chewy cut, and it's full of flavor. The red-eye gravy that the ham is marinated in (which I was told is a family recipe) takes it to another level. They also give you extra on the side to dip. If you mix that ham with over-easy eggs and hash browns, then grab a bite with a biscuit... that's one of the best breakfast bites I've had in a long time. And to top it all off, it just pairs perfectly with a nice, cold Diet Coke. Something about that combo just works. And to be clear, it's not just one or two good items -- everything I've had here has been great. I've also tried the omelet, the chicken biscuit with egg and cheese, and the country fried steak, and they've all been consistently delicious. They have a large breakfast menu, and I still haven't even gotten into lunch yet. Only thing to keep in mind is parking. There is a lot on the side, but it fills up quickly since other businesses share the area. If you come at a busy time, it might take a minute to find a spot. Overall, this is one of those places you keep coming back to. Spots like this are part of the community and deserve the support. Wishing them another 100 years.

The Silver Skillet is exactly that. No, they don't serve cappuccinos with breakfast. Yes, the fried pork chop will have bones on it. In other words, stop complaining. Silver Skillet is exactly the opposite of modern brunch and breakfast. Having opened in 1956 and having served as a backdrop for countless films and tv shows, it preserves the most classic diner experience that remains in Atlanta. Not only does it feel like stepping into a movie set, but the experience of being around the people who worked here their whole life and the most classic execution of every detail in preparation is what makes Silver Skillet so special. Let's make sure to love it for what it is and preserve it. If it is not someone's cup of tea, nobody is dragging them back here to eat deep fried pork chops every day.
