Greek lemon chicken soup, one of my favorite things here.
    Ann C.

Everything you could ever want. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert - 24/7! I love the Greek lemon chicken soup. The chicken and waffles are great, and the chopped steak dinner is yummy! Our server, Rengel, was so sweet and attentive. He asked us if we wanted a dessert after eating, our huge meals and we said no, but he was so sweet and brought our granddaughter a sundae. The place is always hopping, so if you don't want a crowd or to wait, you might want to consider going a little earlier for your meal. However, the service is so good and quick that you really never wait too long. It's always worth it. The restaurant is warm on the inside with sort of a dark interior and lots of mirrors. OK, so let's talk about dessert. Highly recommend the French silk pie, the apple pie, the tiramisu cake, the red velvet cake, the white chocolate raspberry cake, and the Boston cream pie. Go here!

These people know how to move people in an out of a restaurant... we came in at lunch time and it was very busy but our wait was minimal for a table and then for our food. I ordered the Philly cheese steak and the server asked me if I wanted it with gyro chicken or beef. It took me a minute to process the question. I thought by definition a Philly cheese steak was beef. Anyway, we were in a hurry and passed on the desserts... we did pass by the case, though!

Sausage omelette with cheese and home fries

Marietta Diner went above and beyond again today. We encountered a very busy restaurant at lunch with standing room only in the hallways, yet the hostess estimated our wait time as 15 minutes. And sure enough, the staff delivered and had us seated within 15 minutes. My sausage and cheese omelette was delicious, as were the home fries,, although I did add salt, pepper, and hot sauce. My family enjoyed gyro platter with Greek potatoes and Greek salad., corned beef hash, and eggs. Our server was friendly, personable, and very quick. If you e never been to the Diner, you must see the display of stars on the wall with owner Gus, and Maria, owner Mom who is always watching and making sure everything is perfect. The display of cakes in the glass case is amazing in volume, size and color. The front hallway includes a Guy Fieri and Food Network video. This is a casual restaurant with diner flair.

The desserts are 10/10! I tried the cookies and cream cake and the cheesecake. The diner is super cute with photos of celebrities and other famous folks who have visited the dinner. It's very classic and friendly. The servers were patient with our large group and explained all of the various desserts they offered. Worth a stop for sure, and they stay open 24 hours!

Seafood Amore, one of the Wednesday specials
    James D.

I stopped in here on a work trip based on a recommendation from a coworker. It's a cool little joint that's got the old school diner feel yet a much larger footprint. It was full for a Wednesday night which told me right off the bat that it was good. The menu is very large almost like a book so there is something for everyone at this restaurant. I ended up ordering one of the Wednesday specials, because yes, they had a whole separate page just for the specials that day. Seafood amore... and man it did not disappoint. It's a large portion, just like everything else there, that had shrimp, scallops, and lobster ravioli in a bisque sauce. It really was a great dash. Ample amounts of all the seafood with a wonderful tasting bisque sauce- I would definitely order this dish again. Server was nice and attentive and food was served quickly. Good spot to eat!

Usually don't have any issues when coming here. Food is pretty consistent, just needed a little bit of salt tonight and it was good. My food was broiled properly... next time I'm coming back for breakfast for dinner like I usually get..

I don't know why this place has less than 4 stars. The service was warm and welcoming. The portion sizes were big so two people can probably eat one meal. The French toast, moz ball soup, and the spinach pie is crazy good. The french toast was probably one of the best I've had

We heard great things about this diner & decided to check it out. The portions are huge! We had bread & spinach pie brought out to the table. The bread was hot, fresh & fluffy, the spinach pie was savory & delicious. I got the Guy Feirra seafood Mardi Gras pasta & a huge plate came out w/lots of seafood of all kinds & penne pasta, it was delicious & creamy. The only complaint I have is that the clams & lobster tail came w/the shells on which I had to remove prior to eating. Bought the left overs home & I will have enough for 2 meals. My husband got the fried shrimp with French fries. He said the shrimp tasted like it had just been caught from the Gulf & they were big & tasty. The fries were good as well. The only complaint my husband had was that our waitress didn't know what Italian dressing was (sounds like she was from an Eastern block country so there could have been a language barrier) and brought him Russian dressing but the salad was good & tasty. We got the cheesecake w/strawberries & while the slice was expensive ($8 plus) the piece was gigantic! Our bill came to $133 with tip. Pricey but good & we were able to bring home enough for at least 3 meals. The decor is early diner & other than it being extremely busy it was fun. Would recommend!

What a delightful stop! This diner made me miss living in NY. As soon as I sat down they gave me this soft pillow challah like bread and spanakopita. I ate a bacon cheeseburger, fries and washed it down with a coke for dinner. It was super clean and I can see why guy fieri loved this place! I'll be back!

    Spinach Pie
    Isabel Y.

*Delayed post from April '25 I've eaten at Marietta Diner my whole life and it's still going strong. I ordered the spinach pie, which was flaky, buttery, cheesy, with just the right amount of spinach. The greek side salad didn't have the ripest vegetables, but the feta cheese and dressing pair deliciously with the entire plate. I also tried the Pastrami Smash Burger, which was really well prepared. The portions are huge, so don't expect to finish your plate. If you're willing to stop eating before your full, I recommend getting a slice of cake to share. The old school 50s environment is what really sells this place though, from the exterior neon and chrome design, to the interior wallpaper and booths. You can tell there's a lot of history despite only being around for 30 years. A great time to visit is 3pm in the afternoon, because your food will arrive sooner and service will probably be better due to the lesser number of patrons.

This place is a glorious whirlwind of controlled chaos--the finest kind of culinary poetry, where global flavors collide in the most delightful, unpretentious way. You're greeted warmly by the hostess, and your eyes are immediately drawn to the right: a stunning glass display case overflowing with towering pies and cakes that look almost too beautiful to eat. We opted to sit at the bar for a more casual vibe, and the menus hit us like a delightful shock--page after page of eclectic offerings spanning Italian, French bistro, classic American, Chinese, and beyond. It's food from every corner of the globe, ambitious and inviting all at once. The sweet tea struck the perfect balance of sweetness without veering into cloying territory, while the unsweetened version was crisp and refreshing, an ideal palate cleanser. We started with the Saturday flaming cheese special. The presentation was pure theater--they brought it out tableside and set it ablaze right before our eyes, a dramatic flourish that was genuinely cool and memorable. Unfortunately, the flavor itself was a bit of a dud; the cheese didn't quite deliver the rich, melty satisfaction we'd hoped for, and the menu description left us guessing about the exact variety. The seafood-stuffed mushrooms, however, were no joke. They were generously packed with a bounty of seafood, a subtle hint of Alfredo sauce tying everything together beautifully. Great size, excellent balance--solid starter. Then came the fried calamari, and it was outstanding. A generous portion arrived perfectly golden, with a batter that clung beautifully and stayed crisp. A squeeze of fresh lemon elevated it further. This was hands-down the most tender calamari I've ever had--flawlessly fried, properly seasoned, and so good I'd happily make a special trip just for it if the place were closer. Moving to entrées, the lobster ravioli featured real, generous chunks of actual lobster (no imitation here) in a sauce that complemented it perfectly. It arrived in an elegant, robust bowl that elevated the presentation. The portion was impressively large for the price. My only real disappointment was that the pasta itself was slightly undercooked that day--noticeable enough to take the edge off an otherwise strong dish. It came with a solid Caesar salad (nothing revolutionary, but fresh and well-executed) and a very good seafood bisque loaded with seafood in a creamy, balanced broth. My husband's Chicken Picasso with gnocchi in a rich, creamy "Opa" sauce was a standout--fried chicken with a perfect crust, topped with cheese, and paired with pillowy-tender gnocchi that held its form beautifully against the sauce. The dish is hearty and generous (bring an extra appetite). He chose a massive sweet potato as his side--football-sized, perfectly tender, and finished with a caramel glaze that made it sing. He also loved the seafood bisque, which matched mine in quality. For dessert, we took home a cheesecake layered with chocolate cake and other elements, finished with a chocolate coating and nuts around the edge. The brownie bottom and nut crust were well-made, but the menu didn't mention the nuts--a detail we'd have preferred to know in advance. Minor stumbles aside (under-done ravioli and the underwhelming flaming cheese), this is the kind of ambitious, fun, flavor-packed spot I'd happily return to again and again. The generous portions, global menu variety, and overall energy make it a winner. If you're in the mood for a culinary adventure without pretense, this establishment delivers.

    Steak tips

Omg I'm so stuffed! ‍ What an amazing meal at Marietta Diner. This is such a gem! I feel like I stepped back in time -- the vibe is awesome. Outside it looks like a traditional flashy diner, then you step inside and the decor is even better. The tunes are on point. The menu is massive; pages and pages packed full of options. I decided on the steak tips Papa George. Tender beef loaded with onions and mushrooms in a flavorful sauce, mashed potatoes, veggies topped with feta and pita. So delicious!! It came with soup or salad-- I went with the matzah ball soup. Very yummy. It was so much food for one person! But everything was homemade and fresh. Which is insane with a menu that size. I couldn't leave without ordering dessert for the road... or 3. Napoleon cake, a cannoli and baklava. They have over 30 desserts to choose from, I truly felt like I narrowed it down the best that I could. Ha! To top it all off, the staff was phenomenal. So friendly and attentive. Thank you Dimitrio for being exceptional.

Always great food, Amazing service and just a great place to enjoy family. Reminds me of my Nonnie when we would have family gatherings. Everything is made fresh so bring patience or enjoy the complimentary fresh spanakopita. My favorite is the Beef Stroganoff and matzo ball soup. Was a little sad that my wife got more noodles than I did but hey when it's fresh made pasta you can't really complain. Save room for dessert cakes, cookies and my favorite cannolis. Thank you Uncle Gus and staff for always making it pleasant.

For a restaurant calling itself a "chophouse" and supposedly upscale, you would think they would know how to cook a steak or use a better quality steak. Our filets were cooked to proper temperature but lacked any taste of salt or seasoning and lacked any searing on the outside. The meat was chewy rather than tender and made us wonder "what's so special about this place" where parking availability is also a challenge!? I was probably gonna go with sweet tea. ) He lists sweet tea of course, and then hes like, "Kool-Aid, coke, sprite" - IM LIKE WAIT. DID YOU SAID KOOL-AID?......... He's like, "Yeah??..." Im like, "what flavor???.... "Purple?...." I had never heard of that at a restaurant, and quiet frankly, that's all I needed to know. At this point, I literally go nowhere else for soul food. Also, RC is amazing. Really good guy, and his team offer the best service as well. A job well done, always.

I tried RC's today with my parents. We spoke to the owners, a lovely family. Some of the food is…read moreserved buffet style and the rest comes from the back kitchen. I tried so many things. My recommendation would be the baked chicken, cabbage, yams, and sweet potato pie. The ice tea is a must have. Kool aid and coke products are also available. The parking lot is large. So parking won't be a problem. But the inside is small so you will probably want to take the food to go. The menu changes from the week to the weekend with Sunday being soul food day. I will be back to try jerk turkey and meatloaf. Maybe next Sunday.
