I can't believe I've lived in Marietta as long as I have and never known about this place! Wow what an amazing brunch experience we had this past weekend! The food was phenomenal - I read about the fried chicken biscuit so we shared one at the table. It lived up to the hype ! The honey garlic sauce was just the right amount of spice and the biscuit was super light and fluffy! We got the brisket hash, smoked ham Sammy and veggie hash. We rounded out our meal with the cinnamon chip pancakes. The pancakes are sooo good! Not too sweet - really just right! Our server Jess was so delightful - she made the experience even better - she really got to know us which was just so nice! The place is tucked off Cobb parkway and there's only one way in and out of the lot. The decor inside is homey and nice - and they have a nice patio out front. We didn't wait too long for a table either. Cannot wait to go back and we will very soon!
Service was great! Atmosphere is quiet and peaceful. Very cafe-ish! They have great background music (oldies). Food is awesome! Like you are going to your friend's house or grandma's for brunch! Homemade jams for your toast or biscuit. Pretty sure those are seasonal. Their bread is definitely homemade. I had the wheat bread. When in Marietta near the big chicken, PLEASE try this place out! What a gem!
I remember when this place first opened. Today was my first time visiting in many years and it is nice to see this small business maintaining the integrity of its purpose. I was greeted by a warm server who was happy to invite me to a table in the dining room. She served me fresh hot coffee with lots of milk as I requested. Throughout my dining experience, she kept my coffee topped off! The Smoked Turkey Hash was delicious. At first glance, the portion looked small, however, I was unable to even complete the meal. It was very filling. The dish was served hot and my eggs were cooked as I requested. The dinning room and bathroom was clean and fresh. Overall, it was very nice to return to this restaurant after a few years and experience this breakfast spot. They are still serving good food, fresh smoked meats with good service.

When we walked in it reminds you of a country kitchen, comfort food trope of place. It's not a big place but there's plenty seating inside and a few tables on the front patio. I ordered pancakes with chicken sausage and my son got the brisket sandwich with macaroni & cheese. The orders come out fast and service is in point. My son's sandwich was gone in minutes. He wasn't a fan of the mac - it was more like noodles with cheese sauce versus baked mac 'n cheese. My breakfast was yummy and super fresh, fluffy pancakes and what tasted like housemade sausage. If you're a pancake, French toast or country breakfast lover (eggs, meat, grits, toast or biscuits with gravy) add this place to your list. They keep early hours so remember that.

This is BY FAR the BEST biscuits and gravy I've ever had and I didn't even know sweet potato pancakes existed, but oh so YUM! Everything was expertly prepared and supremely delish! Service was fast and friendly. Prices were reasonable for large portions. All in all, this is now my favorite breakfast spot...I cannot wait to go back!
Cute interior with comfortable seating. Good menu selection with mediocre pricing. Unfortunately food was very MEH and service was a bit surely. The specialty apple and pineapple jellies were the highlight. The biscuit was good but a bit dry. My "over medium" egg was a bit less than over easy. The hot chocolate was clearly instant. Probably will not return.
Exterior Located on Cobb Pkwy right across from Ferguson Plumbing Supply. Interior Small and kinda dark but not unwelcoming. Several small tables and a few booths. Customer Service My waitress and the two other staff members were very friendly and accommodating. I specifically dropped in to try the brisket grilled cheese and when I found out that they were out of brisket, I was gonna head some place else, told them that I would check back another day - but they went ABOVE and beyond to try to find a sandwich and a side that I might like. There was a group of 5 - 6 construction worker dudes leaving just as I arrived. It was about 50 minutes before closing time and there were only 3 other customers - an elderly lady dining alone and a youngish looking couple dining in a booth, so I think I arrived after the lunch rush was over. Because of the small dining room, I chose a spot that was an equal distance from both of them. While I was dining - the male half of the couple took a large swig of his soft drink, then threw his head back and let out a HUGE loud belch. His female companion laughed as though it was the most charming thing she'd ever witnessed and I guess he felt so pleased by her response, that he chugged some more soda and treated us all to another longer, louder burp. They looked like college students and the waitress had mentioned to me earlier that she was a KSU student, so I genuinely hope these were not her friends. She saw and heard the guy (EVERYONE turned to look at him when he did it - both times) but she didn't say or do anything to reprimand him. No stars deducted for this. Price / Value Priced about like all restaurants nowadays. Lol. Food My green beans were cooked to the perfect consistency. Snappy but tender. My grilled cheese with chicken was tasty. Overall I would come back, but I would definitely call first to check availability and I would get takeaway instead of dining in.
What a great way to start my day! Headed into Crooked Tree where Daniel served our part of 4 with a few good recommendations. It was a groovy and eclectic vibe with nostalgic memorabilia donned on the walls. The music was nice and the homey atmosphere welcoming. The food was delish like some had been in that kitchen working hard. We all enjoyed our meals from start to finish. My favorite dish was the fluffy pancakes, with chocolate chips. So delicious! I don't think I ate again until we'll in the evening. Filling good service and a Groovy atmosphere. What's more to love!

Today, Thursday, 9/24, I had breakfast at Crooked Cafe. The place is beautiful inside. Ally was my waitress and is outstanding. She is friendly, fast, professional and great. I love pancakes so I had the pancake breakfast with 3 eggs over hard. I substituted an extra egg instead of meat. The place is clean and beautiful inside with music playing and the TV on the food channel. I will definitely be back!! read more

I came here to try the viral fried chicken biscuit and it did not disappoint! The fried chicken itself was super special! Fantastic, and homemade... super crispy, and a big/thick filet of chicken! The biscuit was buttery and tasty, but not as flaky as I would have hoped. It was good, and it didn't mess anything up for me, but the chicken was definitely much better than the biscuit part of it. One of my favorite parts of this meal were the completely fresh and homemade jams! They bring out prune and pineapple jam with the meal, and they were very sweet and nice! The cheese grits were some of the best I've ever had! They definitely will remind you of your mom's homemade grits on a Saturday morning! Nice and runny- but still thick enough to have a good bite to it! The service was true southern hospitality and very comforting and friendly! The ambiance was the same... super cute rustic and retro decor! I would definitely return! This might be a new favorite breakfast/brunch spot! Food today was horrible. Unsure if they changed cooks or not. The food was CROOKED. I'm heading to Waffle House near the big chicken I eat the biscuit and tried to eat the small part of the bacon the was actually done. This was CERTAINLY NOT ABOUT MONEY, but not to have any discount offered. read more

Tonya -- you rock. Stop for the food, stay for the bbq sauce / syrup / jams. ----- locally sourced mixed with chef owned and made. Breakfast caught my eye during lunch time. Did the brisket hash. Not the best brisket I've ever had by a long shot. But. It lead me to the most Georgia BBQ I've had since I've moved here. First. The hash. Red potatoes, quartered and seared. Green pepper and onions need larger knife cuts to show up. Egg test. Soft scrambled. Passed. :) Over easy: Passed. :)~ BBQ sauce - sweet plus vinegar in perfect harmony. I declare this the taste of Georgia. No where else have I tasted a bbq sauce quite like this. Toasted banana pancake was good but stood up and made itself known with the addition of the pancake syrup. The syrup and jams are crafted in house. This place is clean, upbeat (house of blues music), and is staffed by the kindest people. They are super busy on the weekends. If you want a calm quiet experience, check them out during the week. Small improvement note: smell. Think a cleaning product was strong today. Hit me when I walked in. I'd rather a place be too clean than not clean enough. Just wish the food was the fist thing. First, I love finding hidden little gems like the Crooked Tree Cafe. It's cozy and unpretentious yet its menu is impressive enough for repeat visits. I am in cancer treatment and discovered Crooked Tree Cafe because it's near my doctor's office. I come here as a treat for completing a treatment - it gives me something to look forward to on day a normally dread. This week I ordered their Summer Salad (fresh lettuce, peaches, pecans, chicken) with a cup of homemade chicken noodle soup. I devoured every morsel of both - so good! I wasn't expecting the salad to be so tastey, but it was maybe the best salad of my life. I told my friendly waitress that and she said it was quite popular. If you're in Marietta, I enthusiastically recommend! I know we'll be back and it will likely be the highlight of my day. read more

The chicken sausage was good but had a little too much of something I can't put my finger on. The French toast was excellent. The sweet cream on it was just the right amount of sweetness that you don't need syrup. Each slice (3) had some cream sauce on it so it was plenty. Daughter had the pancake breakfast with bacon and scrambled eggs. Good and run of the mill. Husband had the open face omelet that he said was just okay but he wouldn't get it again. The biscuit on the said was good with the marmalade. Our server was nice. The restaurant itself is just like a small diner. The hostess was friendly and welcoming as soon as we walked in. It's a small mom and Pops business. The food was fresh eggs were fresh. The grits were very cheesy. The toast was soft. I'm not sure if it was housemade but pineapple jelly. I will never thought I will eat, but it is amazing. read more

Absolutely delightful breakfast, from the food to service! Accoutrements: the jam! Omg! The jam! Made by the chef from scratch based on available fruits. Today was pineapple (shockingly wonderful) and mixed berry. You could see some berries in there. Also, the two different bbq sauces for each of our dishes were homemade. Biscuits: there were a couple of ppl who found these just ok, so I am not sure we ate the same biscuits because I found them fluffy and flavorful. Meal: I got to Smokey Scramble with smoked chicken. The meat is smoked in house and gives the whole dish that smokey flavorful. The dish also had onions and cheese which added to the experience. Would order again! Service: Teresa was an amazing waitress! She made amazing recommendations and was just a friendly, knowledgeable and kind woman. read more

Crooked Tree Cafe helped satisfy my pancake craving. The pancakes were very light and fluffy and so worth the long wait. Because we had such a long wait we asked for a biscuit so we could try the pineapple jam and berry jam that the server brought to our table shortly after we were seated. With my pancakes I had chicken sausage and scrambled egg whites. I definitely plan to return to try some of their smoked meats or one of their weekly specials. They post them on their IG page. read more
Craving brisket for breakfast and living a little closer than I have in the past I immediately thought of his place today. When I arrived, there was only three cars in the parking lot. As I sat, checking the time and a few text messages, the restaurant began to get grouted. I was seated immediately by lovely server. She gave me a choice of places to sit. I ordered eggs, grits, toast, and brisket. There is an up charge. My $11 breakfast went to $16 very quickly. However, I did come for the brisket. I took care of househunting and making doctors appointments while waiting and enjoying My breakfast which arrived fairly quickly. I was slightly disappointed that it was not hot, but it was fresh tasting and delicious. All in all this is a wonderful place. Lots of regulars and friendly service. Next time I won't deviate from what I had two years ago, which was served hot and delicious! I highly recommend this friendly family style place. read more

Been there many times and love it.. Looking for a good place on a Sunday for my moms 96th Birthday. Good for large group on a Sunday?
Possibly if you get there before the "after church crowd". Call the manager/owner and check. I think they could pull some tables together. Accolades to you for doing this for your mom!
