I ordered on the app. They never asked for payment. I called the store 11 times to see if they got my order and how to pay because my child is picking it up. It continues to send be to generic support line. Bad bad bad. Stores that don't allow you to speak to them is bad customer service. Unacceptable. This store won't be in business long. read more

Okay so I went to trader Joe's and instead of getting a hamburger or somewhere I decided to try this new chicken place. It's only been there for 2 years. So I ordered the lemon pepper chili sandwich which is like the third hottest but not crazy hot. It has a nice flavor to it but it's really really salty. They said that they make the coleslaw in house which is great and it's pretty tasty. I think the coolest thing is that they actually go from raw chicken to cook chicken when you order. So it might behoove you to order ahead of time or you'll be sitting there waiting for your chicken to cook. The place was empty at 5:47 on a Saturday. Plenty of place to sit very colorful walls but it was freezing. There was no way I could have sat down and ate. So here I am eating in my car and voice texting to you. The chef and the girl who took my order were very nice. I hope I don't get high blood pressure from all this salt. read more

The location in Hapeville was so terrible, I had to find a different location on yelp just to speak my piece. Service was horrible, barely noone in the establishment, yet they're slow walking with attitudes to serve the one customer in the store. Kind of pathetic, and the store smelled. Howlin is definitely right!! If this is your first time warning !!!the chicken is heavily seasoned!! Like your first bite of food will be a good layer of seasoning dust before you even get to the meat!! Went in after my Pilates class because now it's time to break the fast and eat!!! Was greeted with a friendly hello. Not too busy for 3:30 pm Monday. Had customers already eating and the food looked good. Ordered their chicken wing meal. Comes with a side. I choose baked beans. Had the sweet mild. The flavor of the season was good. Chicken cooked well. Juicy not dry. But just so much seasoning !! I had dust of seasoning in my lips after a few bites? lol! Next time I will say definitely light on all the shaking !! But the baked beans!!!! That was soooooooo good. And their apple pies!! Like how McDonald used to be. Soooooo good. This place is 100% no frills. They have chicken fingers - on toast, on a bun, or on a salad. And they are excellent. I had a tender plate with fries and "kinda hot" sauce. I wouldn't even call that mild, but it was very tasty. Give it a try, I think you'll like it too. read more

I saw many posts on Instagram about Howlin Willy's Hot Chicken and happened upon this location as I was going to Trader Joe's. Took the opportunity to stop in and share a 3 piece tender meal with macaroni and cheese with my wife as a snack. We tried the sweet heat style which was perfect for us. Not too hot with little sweet. The tenders were fried to perfection!! Not too crisp and juicy inside! Very well seasoned and great for dipping. We tried two different sauces and they added the perfect flavor to our tenders. The Mac and cheese is made daily and I enjoyed that as well. The cheese sauce was great and macaroni noodles were cooked just right. This is not that box brand of Mac and cheese as their sauce hits differently. For dessert we tried a fried apple pie and I absolutely loved this with cinnamon sugar sprinkled over the entire pie. It was hot and good! The woman that served us at the counter was very helpful with recommendations of what to eat and checked on us while we ate. You walk in and order at the counter and they can bring your order to the table. The restaurant is cheerfully decorated and feels very relaxed. I must say I was pleasantly surprised by this experience. That classic chicken sandwich with sweet heat flavor was absolutely amazing!!!! Chick-a-who? Amazing fries, great quality tenders, and a taste that reminds me of home (Nashville!!!) The only thing that's missing for me is having blue cheese as an optional dipping sauce and perhaps a more complexly-profiled 'Howlin' flavor. While I am loyal to Princes Hot Chicken in TN, I have forced my husband to come to Howlin Willy's with me at least 3 times this month. Howlin' SHRINKFLATION' Hot Chicken I was shocked at how bad the portion sizes are based on cost of food. The sandwich is a little larger than a slider. I had the two chicken sandwiches, fries, Mac and Cheese and Beans and still left hungry. Go to Zaxby's and you will at least get a sizable portion. It's unfortunate as the chicken is good but not worth the return on investment. The fries come in a small container and are about the size of a McDonald's small fry that is filled by a stingy 'Kamala' that 'supposedly' worked the fryer in the '80s. read more

Just simply not very good. The "howlin" wings are spicy but NO chicken flavor. They aren't too hot to eat, but soaked in greasy bread crumbs. To show how unprepared they are for those who may not like as much spice -- they don't even sell milk. SAD new addition to the neighborhood. read more

Service was absolutely top notch! Had the willy hot wings with fries and also got a Howlin tender on the side. The rub they use on the chicken is a little sweet, a little smoky, a little tangy and all around delicious and all of the chicken was cooked perfectly. Nice and crispy crinkle fries and they have a buttermilk vinaigrette that is amazing with everything. The comeback sauce was also very good and I would choose those two and skip the ranch. My only knock would be the wings themselves are a little on the smaller side and a little fatty. Definitely affected how crispy the wings stayed but not necessarily to the point I would recommend not getting the wings. I would just say the tender would be my preference. Regarding the rub on the howling tender...I have eaten a lot of spicy food in my life but this might have been the hottest thing I've ever eaten. Hotter than the last dab in my opinion. My ears were ringing, it gave me an instant headache and I almost felt like I was hallucinating. However, if you like really spicy food you know these are good things. I would probably say skip it buttttt to each their own and the rub still has great flavor for the first 8 seconds before the unfathomable heat kicks in. read more

The staff here are friendly and greeted us as we walked in (even someone cooking in the back welcomed me!) the cashier asked for my name instead of assigning us a number like most casual places we go to. We ordered the 2 sandwich meal, and they let us get two different heat ratings since we were sharing it. The person who brought it out to us was a manager, Nick, who apologized to my fiancé and me about the wait. I told him it wasn't long at all, and after checking my receipt, the time from when I ordered to when I had my food brought to my table was around 9 minutes. I guess I didn't realize 9 minutes was a long time for these guys haha The place is clean and cool looking! Tried Howlin Willys for the first time. We got the French fries with bacon and cheese. It was very good, but I like my fries crispy. The chicken tender sandwich with sweet spicy level was delicious. My husband got the wings, which I tried, and they were very meaty and also delicious. He got the Mac and cheese, which was not oily as other reviews had mentioned.
