Tasty Bakery Cafe in Kennesaw was my first experience with a Brazilian bakery, so wasn't sure what to expect. Rather than a hole in the wall type of place that I envisioned, I was pleasantly surprised with bright and spacious interiors and modern design, and plenty of seating. They offer not only bakery items, but hot food, drinks and groceries as well. As we had already had breakfast, we went with lattes and slice of coconut cake for dine in. The latte was really underwhelming for a caffeinated drink and below average, but since it is a bakery, I won't fault them too much for it. The coconut cake was absolutely delicious and flavorful, bringing just the right amount of sweetness without being too sugary. The coconut was perfect along with the moist cake...you can tell it was fresh. We also picked up passion fruit cake and pao de queijo cheese bread for a Brazilian friend, and she commented both were great. Service was very friendly, and the Brazilian lady working there appreciated me saying "obrigado" (thank you in Portuguese). Overall, I'd skip on the drinks next time, but wouldn't hesitate to return to Tasty Bakery Cafe to indulge in their baked goods offerings.

Definitely a thumbs up if you are looking for some creamy and super sweet cakes and pastries. They have got the mousse, the rolls, the buns and the cake slices. Have been here before and tried out their cake slices and mousse. Was really excited to visit this place again especially to take my friends along to try their delicacies before hot weather kicks in. Being a South American based bakery (their tagline reads Brazil) I expected them to be hard on coffee or cocoa. The chocolate mousse I tried last time was super cocoa-ic meaning tasted more like dark chocolate but this time after 2 years, i was in for a surprise. Yes we had the cake slice of White Chocolate truffle cake with ladyfingers, TresLeches cake slice and a cup of Tiramisu mousse cake. The white chocolate truffle and the TresLeches were pretty similar as the White chocolate truffle had TresLeches sauce on it. The White Chocolate truffle cake looked amazing and the creamy TresLeches slice was so good and appetizing. The sweet was abundant and I really loved it! The ladyfingers on the White chocolate truffle cake was okayish. Given a chance, just have one finger. The cakes were spongy and it's totally worth the money compared to many bakeries in the metro Atlanta region. The cup of Tiramisu was the surprise factor. Normally in any Italian restaurant/ bakery the Tiramisu is supposed to be of dominant coffee dusting and layers of sponge cake and cream. Here I felt the coffee very very lightly and it was more of a chocolate-vanilla cream mousse. But I just loved it. With some chocolate slices on the top with a thin mascarpone layer, it was just perfect for me. But did it qualify as a Tiramisu? No to me. Did it qualify as a very tasty random Choco-cream mousse? Yes! So if this is their way of doing Tiramisu, so be it and I would encourage you to try it. The place is less crowded most of the times and the people there are very friendly and helpful in making us choose the best ones. The ambience is good and it's well lit. Few tables outside as well for a good spring/ summer evening visit. They have their own section of other pastries and breakfast items. Recommend to check out their menu. BOTTOMLINE: Worth the money tasty and creamy cakes with a very unique taste of already established items! A must visit if you are a cake lover just like me. MY PICKS FOR YOU: TresLeches (any day) cake slice, Tiramisu Mousse.

I had Omelette. But it looks like one microwaved. It was disappointing. The service was good. Very nice. Good bakery ambience. I didn't try bakery. But, I wouldn't come back for a breakfast.

We tried Tasty Bakery Cafe tonight for dinner. There were several unique options. We split a corn and cheese rissole - it was very good! I got the cheeseburger with fries. My husband got the chicken pastel. We both enjoyed our food. While the burger was not the best I've ever had, it had a good flavor. The fries were delicious. The pastel had a lot of extra pastry to it. We did splurge and try a piece of the peanut butter cake - definitely worth it! Overall, we had an enjoyable experience at a very reasonable price. The atmosphere was relaxed and we had fun sitting and chatting with our friends.

Suca Verde.... Very refreshing and tasty.

Great Coffee! Love the chicken croquettes (at breakfast, lunch or dinner time-lol) Yummy green juice (Suco Verde) Tried the beef patty today and while it was beautiful, moist pastry the ground meat was lacking flavor. l'll try the other versions NW t time. They also have breakfast items, a bean soup and chicken soup that I plan to try Customer service is always wonderful- staff is very nice and welcoming. If you haven't been you should check them out!

We're getting our Subaru serviced and took a walk to the shopping center across the street. My husband, Dave suggested this cafe and I'm so happy he did! I had two cheesey delights: cheese roll and cheese and corn pastry. Both were not things I've tried before but they are both things I'd have again!! The cheese roll was so different and so great. It mozzarella cheese melted in a tasty sweet bread and covered in sweetened condensed milk and topped with coconut. How weird, right? But so incredibly delicious too. I loved the corn and cheese pastry too. The crust was perfectly flaky and inside was yummy corn and melted cheese. But the star of the show was the Tasty Max burger. It had beef, ham, bacon, corn, egg, potato straws. And the bun is homemade here at the bakery!! He loved this burger and it looked ridiculously good. The service was friendly and helpful and I just love this place. The more places I attend in Georgia, the harder it's going to be to leave!! Don't take my word for it, come by and "tasty" for yourself.

Everything was delicious as expected and I'm just happy I don't have to drive to Marietta for some great Brazilian food!

    So good.

I work nextdoor and eat there almost daily. They also serve great burgers and fries.

Jordan recommended Lush Cakery to my fiancee and me (our planner does not accept kickbacks, but instead passes on any discounts she may get on to us) and that is enough praise for me. My fiancee, through her own research, noticed that Lush Cakery has had a hand in a lot of nice weddings in Atlanta. She absolutely loves the look of Lush's cakes (she describes them as beautiful, fun, and creative). I asked Kat how many weddings she did last year and she told me, if I recall correctly, 185 (all by herself!). She doesn't plan on doing that many per year going forward, but she definitely has the experience and is well known in the Atlanta wedding community. Kat moved into a cute space just off Marietta Square a couple years ago. There's a retail space, open four days a week, and a tasting room, available by appointment only. The shop can also be booked for small events like bridal and baby showers. Kat was waiting for us promptly at our appointment time. My fiancee and I were accompanied by our planner for the tasting. The tasting room was quaint and charming. It reminded my fiancee of an attractive sitting room, like something you would see on HGTV. We got to know Kat and she got to know us. She let us swipe through cake designs on her iPad while talking to us about our wedding, our tastes/visions for our cake, and how our cake would align with our wedding overall. For example, we talked about the season of our wedding, whether it's going to be indoor or outdoor, etc. These kinds of things can affect the ingredients and flavors of our wedding cake. There was a menu at the table with Lush's most popular wedding cake flavors. We tasted the following six flavors: * Salted caramel * Amaretto white chocolate red raspberry * Triple chocolate hazelnut * Grand Marnier strawberries and cream * Cinnamon * Cream cheese pound with lemon curd Kat had the first five flavors in the list above ready to go on a plate for each of us. The last one was requested by my fiancee who was interested in trying the lemon curd after seeing it on the menu. My eyes lit up as I bit into these cakes. What impressed me most about them was actually not their flavor, but their consistency. Every single slice was perfectly fluffy and moist. They were tender and delicate with good crumb. Flavor-wise, they were sweet, but not too sweet. My favorite flavors were the salted caramel and the strawberries and cream. My fiancee's favorite flavors were the amaretto white chocolate red raspberry and the triple chocolate hazelnut. My fiancee thought both the strawberry and cinnamon tasted delicious, but were a little too simple for her tastes. The cream cheese pound cake with lemon curd was outstanding, but we agreed that we liked the lighter, less dense textures of the other cakes for our wedding cake. Everything we tried tasted great, so what it really came down to here was personal preference. We want a classic, elegant looking cake so Kat suggested a traditional three-tier round cake. We'll have it decorated with flowers from our florist, Julie Coffin of Unique Floral Expressions, who is one of the rock stars of the Atlanta wedding industry and whom Kat has worked many weddings with. We chose our cake and icing flavors, along with a fun design extra, and were quoted under $700 for our cake (tax and delivery included). The cake will serve 100. We'll have more than 100 guests, but there will be other dessert options too. Kat's quote is about $200 higher than another quote we recently received, so Lush is on the higher side. However, the other quote did not include an extra design element and the Lush quote also includes a "complimentary" anniversary tier a year after our wedding. A $150 non-refundable deposit is required to secure a date. We received Kat's proposal via email quickly after our meeting. My fiancee had a question and it didn't take long for Kat to respond. All in all, this was a wonderful experience. Now we just have to make a decision! Throughout our wedding planning process so far, this has turned out to be the most difficult decision yet.

It's small and cozy in that quiet, unassuming way that feels both nostalgic and transportive, like stepping into a hidden corner of a Parisian street. It's also refreshingly not about aesthetics or trendiness, it's about quality, craftsmanship, and doing things exceptionally well. Everything tastes unmistakably fresh. The pastries are delicate and buttery, the croissants perfectly flaky and golden, and the quiche is rich, savory, and deeply satisfying. You can tell there's real intention and care behind everything. They also carry imported French juices and specialty grocery items, which adds an extra layer of authenticity and charm. But the real standout for me was the cappuccino. I don't say this lightly. It was the best cappuccino I've ever had...luxuriously creamy, velvety, and perfectly balanced with a deep, comforting richness. One tip: get there early.
