Great bbq and sides. No complaints at all. The vinegar sauce is awesome. Pulled pork and collards is my fav.

All the food you see here is marvelous! The tater salad tastes like Mama made it - if your Mama was Southern and had good taste. The collards are on point. The sausage and pork are just plain goodness. Make sure to ask for the spicy bbq sauce cause that just makes this all taste better. The staff will come around several times to make sure you're doing good. At least they do every time I'm here - which is somewhat often. My mom and I were in Dunwoody and craving bbq. This place had high ratings on both Yelp and Google and was 26 minutes away on a Friday during rush hour. We entered and at first I was concerned because there were only two people in the restaurant. We ordered and received our food quickly and from the first bite of brisket I was hooked!!! We had the collards, mac & cheese, baked beans and Brunswick Stew. I was not happy with the Brunswick Stew but I'm hard to please on that item. I haven't had good batch in years. The people that know how to prepare it properly don't work in restaurants. Was charged $1 for two extra slices of bread. Uhhhhh really...it's bbq! Another drawback for me was the young lady working the register was pulling at the skin on her lips and I remember thinking oh lord she has her hands on her mouth, the register, the phone and everything else. I realize some people have nervous tendencies and try not to be too obnoxious when dining out but I sure miss the days of face masks and gloves. While we ate more and more people came in and when we left there was six people dining in, multiple pick up order, so it's a steady flow of people. The condiments station was neat and tidy. The restaurant itself is decorated with cute signage and quotes which lead to a relaxing environment. I grabbed a catering menu as I was leaving because everything was so delicious I have to convince my employer to treat us to bbq this summer. Smokehouse Q is just down the street from my house. I have driven by it multiple times meaning to come in but didn't get around to it until a few weeks ago when I finally convinced hubby to stop in for lunch. He ordered a brisket sandwich and I ordered a brisket platter with mac and cheese. I loved the brisket. It was soft, juicy, and oozing with smoky flavor. I doused it in the sweet BBQ sauce and enjoyed every bite. The mac and cheese was equally delicious and I also slathered that with the sweet BBW sauce, which blended beautifully with the cheesy goodness. We liked it enough that we decided to order catering for the Christmas Eve dinner that we were hosting for our family in our new house for the first time. We had some family coming in from out of town and really wanted everything to be perfect, so we ordered more food than we needed about a week in advance, and I called the morning of to be sure that it would be ready for pick up at the right time. My brother-in-law arrived to pick up our order and checked it in the parking lot to be sure that we weren't missing anything. Everything was just as expected and they actually gave us way more BBQ sauce than we anticipated so that was a nice plus. We headed home with our smoky treasures and feasted with the family. For our Christmas Eve dinner, we ordered brisket, pulled pork, chicken, mac and cheese, potato salad, cole slaw, and pimento cheese. Every single thing on the menu was delicious and was a huge hit with the whole family. We had an amazing dinner that totally lived up to our expectations and we were very happy to have chosen Smokehouse Q to cater this special event for us. We had some leftovers because I ordered a ton of food but not a shred of it went to waste as everyone was happy to take extras. We will most likely order from them again next year and I am sure we will visit a few times in between as well because this place offers great service with top-notch BBQ that is finger-licking good! read more

Easy BBQ - order online and pick up...takes almost No time!!! We get your basic bbq - pulled pork sandwiches or brisket platters. I'd love it if they had chicken but it's ok Sides are good - my kids like fries and they don't have fries so we get potato chips for them. Mac n cheese for my younger....it's good bc it's similar enough to the store bought but elevated because they make it themselves (it's not store bought) he won't eat super fancy Mac n cheese Service is always good. It smells so good when you walk in. I'm hungry! The service was kind of slow. We were the only people in there at the time. When we finally got our food, it was very good. The pulled pork was our favorite. The serving was generous. I loved the mac & cheese, and the baked beans. They were super tasty. Server was very friendly and attentive. As with everything, bbq can be subjective. Also I like to evaluate bbq over time, bc it's easy to see quality fluctuate. Not the case here, the meat is always top notch. Dont be fooled by its location in a strip mall. This place is legitimate. Right when you enter, you can smell the hardwood smokiness, always a good sign in a barbecue restaurant. The staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive. I ordered the pressed Cuban sandwich and a side of potato salad, and this is one of the best Cubans I have ever had...the panini pressing gives the bread that extra texture, the dill pickles are nice and crisp, and the pork/ham combo definitely let you know you're eating at a smokehouse. Typically I'm not a fan of potato salad with a mayonnaise & mustard base, but this one worked well for me. The sandwich my wife ordered is some of the most succulent brisket I've had here in Georgia. First, it is a pleasure to visit a BBQ place that is kept so clean and neat. Good friendly service too, we enjoyed our pulled pork sandwiches, the meat was trimmed and tasty. The sauces were also good. The sides we had were good, but not something special... the coleslaw was a bit bland and soupy and the Mac and cheese was devoid of any crust. As a chef I can always recognize quality ingredients. And this place definitely has that down. They were running a brisket chilli special so I grabbed that with a side of mac and cheese and the flavors were so amazing. The brisket chilli was probably the best I've ever had. The Mac and cheese is up there as well you can tell they use a good cheddar and it's not just flour and milk the noodles were cooked perfectly and not just mush which is where a lot of bbq places fail. The owners were serving up the food and I have found the experience to always be much more pleasant when the owners are present in their business. Discovered SmokehouseQ just down the road from our house this week and decided to try it on a whim. Food was very good especially the babyback ribs. Sides were amazing. We had MacnCheese, beans and the best pimento cheese we had ever tried. Brisket was lean so if you are used to juicy/fattier Texas style brisket I would skip it. We will be back for sure. read more

Great barbecue joint in East Cobb! We got a family meal with pork, brisket, collard greens and Southern lasagna. We also tried brisket chili which was a special of the day. I can honestly say everything was great. The meats were moist, smoky, flavorful and not too fatty. Collard greens were well seasoned and perfect. The Southern lasagna was a very nice surprise and very delicious. The brisket chili was awesome. I honestly can't tell you what my favorite part was. This just became a once a week go to for me. The only negative if you can call it that, is they don't offer a white sauce, or spicy red sauce. They do offer a sweet red sauce, a South Carolina mustard and a North Carolina vinegar sauce. So there is some variety for those that like the Carolina style sauces. read more

The ambiance and service were excellent. The food could have been excellent. The sides were hot and tasty. The meat (ribs, pulled pork, and brisket) were nicely smoked and tasted good. Unfortunately, the meat was lukewarm at best. This hurt what would have been a great experience. I would give them a 3.5 because they don't deserve a three. Their Cuban sandwich is really good! Decently priced and and sides are really good too- the Mac & cheese is pretty greasy but that's pretty common at these smokehouses. Just be sure to call ahead if you want anything in bulk/specific- they tend to run out pretty quickly. read more

Not cheap but definitely better than Jim & Nicks and Dreamland. Different than Spiced Right which is also very good. read more
