The food was flavorful and service was so sweet. Sweet couple we runs the resturant. The chicken sandwich was huge and tasteful.

Avoid....Utterly Disgusting..i just left this establishment at 5.35 pm march 1st 2025.. Ordered a 2 piece fish( whiting),and 10 piece wing..total bill $22.00,with the large sweet tea...1st waring the place was absolutely empty, not 1 customer..2nd this place was filthy..it looks like it hadn't been cleaned in about 6 months..3rd..run down decor, and interior from the late 1980,s...the wings were ultra small and dry...the honey hot sauce, was extremely water , and not hot...the fries were definitely reheated and served to me...the fish was the worse, it was only seasoned with flour and salt.. Be Warned Stay Away..

So let's see where do I start.. it's not the most appealing place when you enter. None of the prices displayed are correct. I ordered their famous chicken sandwich and chicken fingers. The display both said nine dollars when he rang up $30 I asked are these prices correct? He said yes I said then it should only be $20. He said you wanted the sauce on yours the sauce on each of them were five dollars so not worth it. All of it could have been seasoned a little better. It was quite bland probably won't be trying this establishment again five dollars for sauce on chicken is ridiculous and the sauce was not that good.

Listen if ever you want a good chicken sandwich without all the sauces and frills this is the place to go. In all honesty it's a mom and pop type spot or a hole in the wall. You can always find good eats at these type of places. I have been living in East Point and it has always been there and there food has always been consistent. This chicken sandwich combo platter was $9 bucks and some change however this chicken sandwich is humongous. The pictures does not do the size per portion justice at all. If I opened all the palms of both hands it's still not enough space. This is a real chicken breast filleted and probably hammered a little to thin it out. I honestly could make three sandwiches off this one breast. Platter comes with fries and a drink and they serve lettuce, tomato, onions and pickles ok the side with Mayo and ketchup. It's always a pleasure.

Ducked off in the heart of East Point, Chic-A-Loes is the go to spot for me when I want a good chicken sandwich. It's been almost 7-8 years since I've had Chic-A-Loes and after having them today it won't be that long ever again. This spot for me is good to bring your friends, family and it could be a date (if you and your partner love finding good food but not romantically lol) as well. There's tons of parking and the place has more than enough space if you wanna stay and eat. I typically have taken mine to go the times I've come. I had the World Famous Chic-A-Loe sandwich dipped in Buffalo sauce w/ fries and a large pink lemonade ($15.03). What I liked the most is they always tell you that your wait time is 20 mins plus and it's never that long. It honestly might've taken less time and it's ALWAYS hot. I can not begin to tell you how satisfied I am every time I get this chicken sandwich. It's legit the size of two chicken sandwiches in one. That's how huge the chicken is. The Buffalo sauce is good and the fries are crispy. Not to mention, the large lemonade is a big ass cup. Everything about this meal is big and I appreciate it. I think everyone should try the World Famous Chic-A-Loe sandwich at least once.

First time having chicken from here and it was good. The service was nice and fast. Reasonably priced for the amount of food we got. If you're thinking about trying it. GO! It's worth it.

I used to come here many years ago to get there chicken fingers..they were absolutely the best..I stopped coming by because I no longer work in the area. It just so happened I was passing by today and decided to come back in and get my old lunch favorite..nothing has changed much..its a mom and pops establishment was good service that was covid compliant and the food is okay..fried food though, its not the healthiest about okay all the same..

*SENT THIS TO THE BUSINESS INBOX 8/31/25. NO RESPONSE SO I AM POSTING IT HERE*…read more I got to your establishment shortly after placing my name on the waitlist. I followed the on-screen instructions to check in with the host upon arrival. I walked in a packed, very hot restaurant (later learned that the A/C was broken) and explained to the hostess that I was on the waitlist and she was extremely rude, dismissive, and unwelcoming and kept telling us "we aren't taking reservations right now" - I reiterated I didn't have a reservation but an active waitlist spot through the yelp app. She rudely asked for my name I gave it to her even spelled it out for her after she acted like she didn't hear me. She didn't even check her computer for my name, she flapped her huge blue-colored eyelashes and just said "well we aren't taking reservations" ... so after that I'm upset and my boyfriend asked to stand at the bar at a seat behind her. She says "you can order a drink from right there" but little did she know that my boyfriend knows the owner personally who frequents his bar that he works at each week. So he was going to let him know about the hostess and her rude service, but instead I said forget it and we left. We ended up going to Noveau a block away and was seated immediately, it was a complete 180 as far as environment and service. We ate and left, I checked the waitlist I was still on and it said I was 4th place in line. I drove all the way from Brookhaven to be talked to like I did something wrong when all I did was join a waitlist on yelp and check in as instructed. As a Black business owner myself I took this encounter very personally, as everyone else in front of us was being helped but us. Your hostesses are supposed to be the face of your business and this one was not it. This put such a bad taste in my mouth that I told my boyfriend that I will never return here and to make sure to let the owner know about this experience when he sees him. This is probably not the only complaint that this restaurant has received about this individual, and because of her, Noveau down the block now has a new loyal customer now. I see why our own people find it hard to support other black-owned businesses because you have people like her representing your business and treating us like we owe them something for trying to come in and spend money in your establishment. Then I later learned that she's actually a "family member" representing this business acting like that. I understand that you were operating that day with no A/C and no plumbing (ew) but don't take it out on people who showed up to support your business...again and again. Sad and ridiculous. Signed, byyyeeee never again.

Our server came over quickly to take our drink orders, and afterward she came back to answer any questions. Most of the food was ready at the same time. We appreciated that it came out as it was ready and wasn't left sitting. And everyone enjoyed the food! The only "complaint" one of my friends had was that she thought there was a little too much sauce in her shrimp and grits dish. She felt that the sauce, while it tasted great, overpowered the dish and she would've liked to taste more of the grits flavor. All in all, I'd say we'll likely be back to try something else on the menu.

He was so nice, knew the menu, made recommendations, and kept a check on me. The dining room can get loud if all the tables. Full bar / wine serving Cajun style with a "Atlantean" flair. Service: 5 stars Rarely do I give a 5 star rating for a server but our server was exceptional. He was polite, friendly, helpful and was very attentive. He mentioned some recommendations and as a foodie himself, he made a couple recommendations. Food: 4-4.4 stars Shrimp Po-Boy: 4 Stars for the Po-Boy due to amount of shrimp, though they were larger than normal. The shrimp was seasoned and lightly breaded. However, the bread was wonderful. Light, airy, flaky and had the right amount of crunch to it. The creole sauce was good but the Po-Boy needed some additional hot sauce. The perfectly cooked fries were AWESOME! Highly recommend to get a side if your entree doesn't come with it. Lightly salted with hint of other seasoning and herbs and had the right amount of chew and crunch to them. Also, I believe the oil they use was a better quality than normal. Blacken Mahi-Mahi- 5 Stars The grilled blackened fish has the perfect on of Creole seasoning and was topped with a house-made Chimichurri Sauce and possibly honey. Served with seasonally roasted root vegetables. My wife loved it so much the plate was practically cleaned! LOL! Dessert Beignet - 3.75 Stars By our server's recommendation we ordered a serving of 3 beignets w Pecan Praline Caramel sauce. The beignets were hot and fresh and had a "snowy" amount of powdered sugar. It was covered with goodness. When we bit into them, they were light, airy and had a bit of a chew to them. My wife likes them more than Cafe Du Monde but I thought the dough had more chewiness to them. The Praline sauce was ok. Also, the sauce is extra $3.50. NOTE: Do not order a carton of water - Cost $5. Wasn't worth it. Get regular water. If we were staying another day, we would definitely come back. I highly recommend the place. Also, the have another located situated in downtown Atlanta. But I suggest to stop by at the OG place in College Park. Small time atmosphere with great food! Enjoy!

When I walked in I was greeted by a staff member and seated immediately. Shortly after I was seated my wait staff came over and introduced herself. Steroids? Nonetheless, they were cooked to perfection! I did get the banana pudding to go- this was the only item I would not order again!
