First visit to Rickettes and I really enjoyed the food. The wings were cooked to perfection and the sauce was like the cherry on top..Loved the Chicago themed music also.

Rib Tip, Wing & Link Combo, Roll, and Extra Mild Sauce on it. It doesn't look like extra mild sauce. I'll just get a cup of sauce to go.

Food was really good. I did go at the end of the night. Got there about 8p so wasn't surprised that the chicken wasn't cooked fresh. It was still good with good flavor. I got the tip, link and wing combo. It was a good amount. I ate on it for 2 days. The only reason I gave 4 stars was that I asked for extra sauce, and I paid for it. However, it didn't appear to be extra sauce. I'm from Chicago and familiar with the brand, as I've had it plenty of times in Chicago. Just felt like it should have been drenched in sauce in true Chicago style. This is my go to spot for bbq in Atlanta. It's a 30 minute drive, but worth it! Also, I received one roll for all that food. That's insane! Service was pretty good. A little hood in the area. But, no big deal, mind my business, watch everyone and in and out! To go spot. No dining whatsoever.

This place is nothing short of amazing! I stopped by right before closing and they food was fresh, the owner and cashier were both pleasant they even allowed me to sample their turkey tips I'm definitely ordering next time. They need a location in the city so everyone could experience all their greatness. Most importantly their customer service is top notch‼ will be supporting this family owned business

I woke up Saturday wanting barbecue. I don't know why but I thought about this place instantly. I had been wanting to try out this place after seeing them on Instagram. The place is in Greenbriar Parkway literally 2 miles away from my location. Luckily for me they were on Uber Eats. Yes! I ordered a Rib tips & Wings Combo $18.50. 3 wings, Tips, fries and rolls. Mild Sauce and Barbecue Sauce on the side. The food container is completely wrapped in heavy duty foil to avoid a mess. They included napkins and fork. Thank you because most businesses do not include utensils for take out. The wings were well seasoned not overly salty and very crispy. They were so good. It reminded me of Philly style chicken wings. The rib tips were meaty. Not super tender and not super tough. That was good for me because I like my ribs kind of chewy. I also could tell they were smoke in a grill not oven baked. Real barbecue. The bbq sauces were so good, you could just continuously dip or pour it on your food not to mention licking your fingers. Food was enjoyable. I will return.

I've had Rickettes bookmarked for a while after seeing it on IG so when I was near the area on Sunday I decided to check it out. The restaurant is take out only. The lady who took my order was friendly and gave me some recommendations especially for the sauce. I ordered the turkey tips & wing combo that comes with fries. I told them to put light sauce on the wings & the turkey. No sauce on the fries. I also ordered a side of green beans since they were out of the mixed greens. When I got my order the container was wrapped in foil to keep the sauce from spilling out. It also helped keep the food warm. I had over a 30min drive to my house. The sauce was good, but it was a little too much for me. I would have preferred to only have it on the turkey & not on the wings. Next time I'll definitely get it on the side. The wings & fries were good.

As a Chicago native I'm always excited to try places that have food from my hometown. I was referred here from another ChiTown native for a good place to grab bbq. We ordered Turkey Rib tips , Italian beef, Mac and cheese, with greens. The Turkey rib tips changed my whole perspective on BBQ! It was that good! Come with fries and a roll. If they wanted the real Chicago touch it would've been two slices of bread. Lol, but still good nonetheless. The Italian beef is was just ok. Typically when you order an Italian beef from any place that sells it, you have the option for the au jus (dip) on the side. This place has to dip it since they don't have styrofoam, which essentially made the sandwich very soggy. The sides were very delicious! The greens with turkey meat was my absolute favorite. I took a star off cause the menu was just so extensive, and the cashier had no idea what anything was. It happens. Also took the star off because the sandwich was soggy, although the flavors were good. I'd definitely come here again, and recommend it to anyone who wants good Chicago bbq!

Parked right in front went in spoke with a lady and a man (presumed to be owner) couldn't have been nicer people. Never seen or thought of turkey tips but without hesitation ordered and was able to try a sample To ensure I was pleased. I got the turkey tips and wings with fries which were all amazing. The sauce is really a hit although not much is needed, it definitely takes to the flavor overboard. Looking forward to trying them again soon.

Service here is very friendly. The cleanliness is also impressive. We ordered the Chicken and Fish. Disappointed because we were told it would be catfish, and it was definitely not. The chicken was fried well and had a great flavor(did notice the grease flavor was a little less than fresh). Will return to try the Turkey Leg!

I've seen this place walked by... Smelled the aromas coming out of this place and saw the reasonably priced combos on the window.. I said I must definitely give it a try. So today was the day .. a Saturday afternoon around 4pm.. man the parking lot was booming.. parking is somewhat limited bc there are other food spots in the same strip plaza. .... .... Luckily I found a spot across the parking lot bc I was on my way out if I couldn't find a spot. .... .... Take out only. When I went I was able to place my order right away. Unsure of what I wanted.. I asked the lady that greeted me with a smile.. what do people normally get.. she said wings. I opted for the 4 bone rib with 2sides and comes with a "Pop' . I choose Mac n cheese . It was good had a good flavor. Second side was fried okra.. man the portion was so big. I had leftovers. The ribs were seasoned well I really didn't need the sauce ( I got that on the side.. it was sweet and tangy . Good) Reason for 4 stars. The ribs were not fall off the bone tender but they were good and I'd give them another try. (Key to tender ribs slow cooking) I didn't try any of the desserts they had in the case. See video to view the sweets. If you are in the Greenbriar area.. they are in the plaza in front of Kroger.

If you love Chicago food..THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU!! THEY NAILED IT! HAROLD who? Lol The chicken 5 star The service 5 star The RIB TIPS U HAVE BEEN WANTING The Italian Beef is BEEFING The Sauce taste EXACTLY like Chicago This is legit an Answered Prayer. How they lost 1 star...the wait time is a REAL 20-25 mins. But when you are making perfection. I suppose it takes time. I will definitely return. It was impressively FRESH and just Delicious

The chicken was on point and the service was great. I got the catfish and fried chicken. I know a lot of people don't care for catfish, but I enjoy it. I got the greens as a side, but those are way too salty. I couldn't eat that. But I also never eat with salt except for on popcorn. But overall. I will be back. I enjoy my meal.

4 piece dark chicken with fries and a roll and drink sauce on side. Smoked half bbq chicken I took to lunch for work the next day.

Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q…read more Fox Bros. has that hole-in-the-wall BBQ joint feel, but with plenty of space to hang out. There's a bar along with both indoor and outdoor seating, and the overall atmosphere is casual and laid-back. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and gave us some great recommendations, which definitely added to the experience. We went with the three-meat sampler and chose the brisket, ribs, and jalapeño cheddar sausage, with tots and the Fox-a-Roni for our sides. The Fox-a-Roni--a combination of their Brunswick stew and mac & cheese--was absolutely delicious and easily one of the most memorable sides I've had at a BBQ restaurant. The brisket was honestly some of the best brisket I've ever had. It was tender, flavorful, and easily my favorite of the three meats. The jalapeño cheddar sausage was also really good, and while the ribs tasted great, ours were pretty small and didn't have a ton of meat on them. My only real complaint was the portioning of the sampler. We were told that as you choose a larger variety of meats, you essentially receive smaller portions of each. I understand the idea of a sampler, but we literally received one slice of brisket and two-three fairly small ribs, so the portion-to-variety concept didn't make a ton of sense to me. I would've preferred slightly more substantial portions, especially considering how good the brisket was! I also ordered a cocktail, but unfortunately it wasn't really for me. It came across very sweet and mostly juice, although I think that may have been more about the particular drink I chose than the bar itself. Overall, the food absolutely delivered. Between the incredible brisket, Fox-a-Roni, friendly service, and laid-back BBQ atmosphere, Fox Bros. was definitely worth the stop. I'd happily come back--I'd just skip the 3 meat sampler next time and order more of that brisket!

If there was a rub, it was subtle to the point of being almost untasteable. Quarter rack of Ribs: poor. Meaty, but far too tough, definitely not fall off the bone. Again lacking in flavor, and burnt in spots. Side of Mac n Cheese: easily the start of the show. Very flavorful, baked and not swimming in cheese sauce, possible notes of ritz crackers detected. I'd have eaten a main course sized portion, and imagine it could mix well with pulled pork or chopped brisket, should Matt's ever consider expanding their repertoire of meats. Side of potato salad: also very solid. Simple but nicely flavored, just creamy enough. Side of collards: fine but unremarkable. Bbq sauce: decent-ish, more tangy than sweet. Very thick. Packaging : Matt's really could improve here. The ribs and chicken, piled together between two slices of white bread, was wrapped in white paper which was in turn stuffed into a paper bag with the containers of sides. This was messy- yes, bbq is by nature a messy undertaking, but a clamshell container would've made the whole fiasco a lot easier to deal with. A fork and spoon were included, no knife... and no napkins. Really? For a paper wrapped oversauced pile of meat... not even a single napkin? I honestly would've been fine paying an extra buck or so for some better packaging and, IDK, maybe a wetnap. Overall, this bbq lover was unimpressed. Perhaps the rave reviews made my expectations too high. I've honestly had better bbq at multiple places in my relative bbq desert hometown of Boston.
