Fish, cheese grits and cheese eggs. Soooooo gooood!
    Leeky L.

They make the best fish and grits. They also added cheese eggs and I am now in love. Not sure of the hours. We tried going on a Saturday Morning at 10:30 and they were closed. I was so sad. I wish they would update their times online. Still hands down the best fish and grits.

a car at a gas station

Service sucks lady taking order is disrespectful. Stood in line behind a customer and she kept stoping him while he was ordering to take phone orders . Naw I'm good as a black man I would not patronage this type of bad service ever.

What's left of my meal. I ordered 3 pancakes with bacon and added 2 scrambled eggs with cheese.

Food was good, service a bit slow but I guess you can expect that since it was inside a gas station.

We made reservations for the 6 of us, and upon arrival we were greeted by the friendly staff. There was a line of people waiting to be seated, so we were concerned about having to wait since we were heading to the airport. We had a brief waiting period before being seated. Jasmine D, our server was prompt and very personable. The menu was full of delectable choices for brunch or lunch. We ordered the Very Berry French Toast, Chix & Pancakes & bacon, Jerk Chicken & Sweet Potato Waffles, and a Kids Cheese Scramble & bacon and grits. Everything was absolutely delicious! Our server was attentive and patient with us the entire time we were there. If you're looking for great food, a great welcoming down home ambiance and are in the area, The Breakfast Boys is a great place to go, but make reservations! We can not wait to visit the Atlanta area again and to visit The Breakfast Boys.

But our most recent stay stood out. We ran into some unexpected complications with our parking situation, and George stepped in without hesitation. He resolved the issue efficiently and without any fuss, which on its own would have been enough to earn a mention. But then he went a step further: he personally escorted my wife, two other guests, and me to our vehicle, navigating all of our luggage in the process. I have retrieved my car from a hotel parking lot more times than I can count. I do not think I have ever enjoyed the experience until now. George has a way of making a logistical errand feel like the best part of your day. He was engaging, genuinely warm, and handled everything with an ease that only comes from someone who actually cares about doing the job well. George is the kind of staff member who turns a routine stay into a memorable one. He deserves to be recognized for it.

I've stayed here before so I'm familiar with the layout. The room was clean. My only complaint was that I found stains on my pillow case that was rather off putting. Other than that the hotel is nice. It has restaurants inside for dining, a coffee shop and large conference rooms where we held are meetings. It's located minutes from the airport. I recommend the Marriott for your next stay in Atlanta.

The Main Course is on Main Street and has a parking lot and a very large interior space. On Sunday they had a Dj and are serving a southern brunch for $25.99. There is something on the menu for everyone. There is a salad bar, pastries, chicken, waffles, pancakes, fried green tomatoes, fish, grits, etc. ; it is a true southern breakfast! I enjoyed everything I had, and appreciated the bloody Mary bar, I enjoyed one cocktail for $7. I was dining solo and sat at the bar and had the opportunity to chat with the owner, such a sweet lady that has a special way of making you feel like family. There was no wait when I walked in but it was fairly busy, people outside and in the back room enjoying their meal, the traffic remained steady while I was there.   I would like to return during the weekday so I can enjoy the main menu and also return for brunch to try the salmon croquettes. Two items that did not make this a 5 star experience for me, some of the food in the warming dishes was cold and it was difficult for me to use the plastic ware to cut my waffles and pancakes. Not a deal breaker but something to note.   If you enjoy soul food, great service and want to support a woman and minority owned business  check out the Main Course today.

For the main course, my girlfriend had the turkey wing with rice, and she really enjoyed it. She said the seasoning was on point and full of flavor. I ordered the fried shrimp with collard greens and candied yams. The candied yams were definitely a highlight -- sweet, flavorful, and cooked just right. The collard greens, though, didn't taste as fresh as I would've liked -- almost like they may have been canned. The iced tea was really good, and my friend enjoyed her glass of wine. One thing to note: everything is served in styrofoam containers with plastic flatware instead of traditional plates and silverware. Not a dealbreaker, just something to be aware of. There's also plenty of parking, which is always a plus. They do offer a military discount, but it only applies to the individual with the military ID -- not the entire table if you're dining with family or on a date. I appreciate that they acknowledge service members, but it would be nice if the discount extended to the whole party. Overall, it was a great experience with very good service, and I'd probably go back again. If you're in the Hapeville area and craving some soul food, it's worth checking out.

My friend searched for a local restaurant with good reviews and found Thumbs Up. It was the right choice! The building is older, but the interior is nice, well kept and clean. It was great, especially with the strawberry jam that accompanied it. The two other guys with me raved about their food, especially the perfectly seasoned Chicken Tenders. The grits were on point. It also came with a small shrimp and grits - a bit of spicy broth with shrimp and smooth grits. * Kiss my Grits - The bowl of the smoothest cheese grits with the best chopped chicken sausage I've ever had.
