Fish On Bun

So yes, it is in a gas station, but don't let that deter you. I had to go back to make sure I wasn't exaggerating, but this food is absolutely delicious!! The reviews are accurate! The first time I had the shrimp n grits, the second time I had the fish on bun, both FIRE. The freshness and quality is there along with their signature creole sauce. You honestly can't go wrong if you're looking for an elevated grab and go meal! The owners are warm and welcoming as well, may their business continue to grow!

Currently has me in a CHOKEHOLD! For the record I don't eat grits...I wasnt raised on them...and I am on Day 2. Ive had the best fried SKINLESS whiting from Shrimp Over Bored. The fried shrimp and grits are on point. The portion is plentiful! Grits are perfect. Dont be fooled by the location....walk on in order at kiosk....I promise you won't be disappointed.

I was skeptical to eat here because of the location. So I ordered it to avoid going in and the food did NOT miss! I ordered the fish and grits with turkey bacon and green onions. All of the flavors were flavoring! To top it off, it wasn't expensive. 10/10 recommend.

I found this place via a social media food reviewer. I would not have known about this place otherwise. It is in an Amoco gas station. There is no signage outside of the gas station. This is truly a hidden gem! I had the Gumbo Grits which consists of grits, collard greens with smoked meat, sausage and sautéed or fried shrimp. It's a combination that seems...strange. But dammit it works and works well! The foundation for any grit bowel is, well, grits. If your grits ain't right, the rest won't matter. And these grits are excellent. Perfect texture and flavor. The collard greens are perfectly cooked with lots of smoked meat (turkey I believe). The shrimp are a very nice size and sautéed well. My wife had the Fish and Grits. What little I had of it was great. Service is great. The gentleman who runs the spot is friendly and gets your food out to you in a timely manner. The gas station is out of the way on a semi-desolate part of Georgia Hwy. 29/Roosevelt Highway BUT it is WELL worth the trip. Don't sleep on these grits ('cause you certainly will when you're done eating them)!

On my last day in town, October 4, 2026, my family and I wanted to find a special restaurant for breakfast before heading to the airport. We came across The Breakfast Boys and decided to give them a try. When we arrived, there was a line out the door, which immediately told me this place must be doing something right. We decided to wait, and I'm glad we did. I didn't get the name of the host, but she was amazing--professional, organized, and did an excellent job getting everyone seated. Even with the crowd, our wait wasn't long. Once inside, I was surprised to see there was an additional dining room downstairs. We were greeted by our server, Nita, who was outstanding. She knew the menu and was able to explain everything in detail without hesitation. Her timing and service were on point. Even though the restaurant was extremely busy, we really didn't have to ask for anything. As a chef, I naturally pay attention to how a restaurant operates, and what really stood out to me was the teamwork. The entire staff was working like a well-oiled machine. The food came out hot, the service was excellent, and everyone in my party was happy with their meal and experience. Before leaving for the airport, I stopped by the restroom. It was fresh, clean, and well maintained. As I walked out, I also looked toward the kitchen and once again noticed the teamwork among the kitchen staff. Before leaving, I made sure to tell the staff how much we enjoyed everything. The Breakfast Boys--you have something great here. Great food, great service, cleanliness, professionalism, and most importantly, teamwork. Keep up the amazing work. I will definitely visit again when I'm back in Atlanta. you're only as good as your last meal. excellent is aways the key. from the front door to the time your last guest leave. The energy that is exuded from their social media pages, makes you want to support! The food was freshly prepared upon ordering(kiosk) and worth the wait. We ordered 2 catfish & fries, and 1 catfish/shrimp and fries. I do wish you could select a different side, as I wanted to try the greens or mac n cheese. There is a sign that says no substitutions, so fries it was. The fries are your basic frozen variety. The catfish was freshly fried, and was tasty. Cold lemonade accompanied each box. The service is exceptional at MetroWest, as the owner takes pride in what his business brings to the community. We look forward to returning to try the salmon Philly next!

When I walked in I was very disappointed to hear that they only had collard greens fried and onion rings as a side. No mac and cheese! No sweet potato soufflé ? 2 of the things you advertise the most? Blowed. I still got a 2 piece whiting and a salmon over rice. Well, after shaking off the initial disappointment I got to the food. The whiting was fried and seasoned well and there was a great portion. There was an abundance of tasty crinkle fries. A little too crunchy but it was good. The onion rings were also go The assuming baked salmon was very good. The salmon was cooked to perfection and not overcooked. The glaze was good as well. The yellow rice was also seasoned and cooked well although it could have been a tad more tender. The greens were super tender and seasoned well. The food and the customer service saved the day and stopped me from saying 1 and done. I'll be back when I can verify they have all the advertised sides!
