    Close up of chipped China

Food Excellent Service Excellent Price Reasonable But the cracked China, I was extremely disappointed. The plate my food was served on was cracked/chipped in two places... Not only were they sharp enough to cut me, breaking off chips could possibly land in my food. The manager said they told the owners, but they refused to spend extra money on replacing plates. The manager then went on to say, the staff pooled their tips together to buy a few new plates at a time. Unacceptable

    Catfish breakfast with regular grits

This is my usual Thumbs Up location and I'm the biggest Stan for the catfish breakfast. So when me and my husband made a plan to sneak out to breakfast alone midweek, it was EASY to choose this as our destination. Unfortunately, for the first time, the food was just okay. The fish wasn't seasoned as well as normal, the cheese grits were so packed with cheese they were almost stiff and I could barely taste the grit portion of the dish. It was all just fine rather than the normal "woo! Such a good choice!" Anyhoo, I'll definitely come back. The service is friendly and the prices are good. The inside is a little worn down in terms of furniture and decor, but it has been that way as long as I've been coming here.

Taste: 5/5 Value: 5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 What a great spot to enjoy a tasty breakfast! Thumbs up Diner has a large menu full of delicious southern cooking items. They have generous portions at a great price. Everything we tried was really tasty and served to us quickly. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll 100% revisit!

    The Ultimate Seaside Breakfast!

Now THIS place? Is AAAAAAMMMAAAAZZZING!! Absolutely fantastic service from the moment I walked through the door. No wonder they have over 3,000 favorable reviews! I was immediately greeted with a smile and told I could sit wherever I pleased. I was promptly asked what I'd like to drink. I ordered the hot chocolate with whipped cream. It was one of the best that I've had in Georgia. I asked for a menu and my waitress (named "Lite") informed me that they use QR codes and pointed to a small plaque on the table. While perusing the menu, I scanned the area. It's very "old school charm". Exposed brick walls, a wave wrap around counter, concrete floors and an exposed roof giving it a loft feel. I loved the old school stools as well. I thought someone might scoot up to me on roller skates! To say that my waitress was "attentive" would be an understatement. She was perfect and very professional yet casual at the same time. I ordered the "Ultimate Seaside Breakfast". Which.....man.....this was THE best breakfast I've had since I've lived in Atlanta and I've been here 4 1/2 years now. The shrimp and grits 5/5, the omelette 5/5, ordinarily I do NOT like anything fried but chicken but decided to still have the fried catfish that came with the ensemble. Well, I'm definitely a fan now and will be back. I have a new GOAT here in the A! Thanks again Lite!

    Catfish, biscuit, scrambled eggs, grits

Food was great! ESPECIALLY the catfish. The only thing I didn't enjoy were the potatoes as they were dry. The servers were all so kind. There is a bit of a wait to get your food, but the wait is well worth it. Just note, they add an 18-20% service charge with a table of 4+. You can't beat the food prices though! I can't wait to return to ATL just to go back for the Catfish.

    Low Country Heap with biscuit.

First stop on our trip from NY. Started us off right. Ohh My Goodness : the biscuit. Never had better. The Low Country heap has just enough kick. Scrambled eggs are perfect. Sweet tea is smooth. Great ambience, clean, fast service on a Saturday at 11:00. Highly recommend.

We were greeted immediately upon arrival, but service was a bit slow, took about 10 minutes to get our drink order in, and coffee arrived another 5 minutes later. Our group of two adults and three kids totaled around $125, with an automatic gratuity added due to our party size (which is something to keep in mind if you're dining with a group). One downside--there's no kids' menu, so the price can add up quickly if you're ordering full meals for little ones. Food: 8/10 The highlight of the meal was definitely the biscuit and fried catfish both were well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The rest of the food was solid, but nothing that completely blew us away. Atmosphere & Logistics: The diner is small and quaint, which adds to its charm, but parking is limited, so plan accordingly if you're coming during peak hours. Overall, it's a good spot for a casual meal, and while service could be a bit quicker, the food and cozy vibe make up for it. Would return, but probably wouldn't bring a large group again.

    OMG! Look at hot chocolate!!
    Janice S.

This was just a great treat! Just got off a VERY early morning flight with my son and my dude brought us here!! Home run on his part! Speedy and friendly service, you were amazing Tammy! She brought my son a hot chocolate that made his eyes almost pop out of his head!! Not usually a fan of "breakfast " potatoes but you turned me into a believer! And that house made strawberry jam on those multi grain biscuits!! Sat back by the kitchen and got to watch an expert of an expo train a new staff member and interact with the Chef and culinary crew! If I lived in ATL this would be a haunt! Great job and thanks for making our first ATL experience such a great one!

    Chicken wings and waffles

We arrived on the suggestion from the rental car person, it was noon but we were still looking for breakfast. Perfect place, because they serve breakfast all day along with other items We ordered the chicken wings, waffle and eggs. The chicken wings had a Smokey with a touch of pepper taste we loved them. The inside is a diner style, very clean and comfortable. Parking out front They were very quick to take the order and the kitchen staff were fast to prepare it. Everything came out hot and delicious. A nice touch was the syrup was also warm. Loved that!

The minutes we came the waitstaff opened the doors for us. We were welcomed immediately. The waitstaff was friendly and offered recommendations. The food came in a timely manner. My meals were delicious and mouth watering. Make sure you come hungry because the serving sizes are plentiful and economical. I would recommend this restaurant for a quick good quality breakfast or brunch. The restaurant had a good feel and reminded me of a classic diner!

Our party consisted of six people, and as you can see from the photos, everyone ordered something different no two dishes were the same. We started with the Craft Mimosa. Our first flavor was watermelon, which is shown in the photo. It was very good and had a strong watermelon flavor. The second flavor we tried was passion fruit, which wasn't my favorite. For a table appetizer, we chose the macaroni balls. They were fried to perfection on the outside, but unfortunately, when I bit into mine, it was cold on the inside, which was a bit disappointing. For my entrée, I ordered the Foul Play (chicken and waffles). I asked for the toppings on the side just in case I didn't like them. The waffle was delicious and didn't even need syrup. The chicken breast was fried well and paired nicely with the waffle. Overall, even though the dish was simple, it was a great choice. Our waitress was very nice and informative. She explained the most popular and top-ordered items, which really helped with our selections. Inside decor was pretty. There was also a bar if solo diner will like to sit there. Will I return? The negatives while we were sat quickly but it took a while for someone to take our order about 2 minutes which is too long. The server was not very happy to be at work, they weren't rude but also not just . We had a small mix up with our food as a side of spinach was put on the wrong plate which wouldn't have been an issue but we weren't all family so sharing after an item was eaten no one wanted to share. Lastly, we asked for a box and had to get it ourselves. Would I go back? Yes! I know this reviews seems harsh but overall it was a good experience.

Title: Flavor Explosion, Soulful Hospitality & a Last-Minute Meal That Turned Magical…read more Let me just say this: what started as a "quick bite before closing" turned into one of the most memorable dining experiences I've had in a long time. We arrived at The Poach Social about 20 minutes before closing, unsure if we'd be rushed--but instead, we were welcomed with warmth and ease. Lived the ambiance. Hunter, our server, was incredibly sweet, attentive, and knowledgeable. She made us feel taken care of from the very start. Then came Victor, the owner and chef--and this is where things shifted from good to special. Without us even asking, he recommended a mocktail that felt like it was made just for me: a sorrel-based drink layered with ginger, spice, herbs, and fresh fruit. It was refreshing, balanced, and honestly one of the best non-alcoholic drinks I've had. We started with the jerk egg rolls... and I'm not exaggerating when I say we were clapping after the first bite. Crispy, juicy, flavorful, with a sweet-spicy sauce that just worked. We immediately knew we'd be taking more to go. For the main course, we ordered the Poach Social breakfast plate and the blackened salmon with polenta. The breakfast plate was comforting and well-executed, but the salmon dish? Absolutely unforgettable. Perfectly seasoned, melt-in-your-mouth texture, with creamy polenta and a rich sauce that brought everything together. It was a full-on flavor experience. The timing of everything--from drinks to apps to entrées--was seamless. Hunter checked in at the perfect moments, never too much, never too little. We ended up in a lovely conversation with Victor, who is not only talented but genuinely kind and passionate. He brought us complimentary slices of carrot cake, and even though we were already full... we ate every bite. No regrets. It was phenomenal. What I loved most is that this place doesn't just serve food--it creates an experience. There's intention, care, and heart behind everything. If you're in Atlanta, do yourself a favor and go. This place deserves to thrive. We will absolutely be back.

He made sure to check on us and explain the menu as well. Our drinks did take a lot more time to get to the table. It's a cute and trendy place, but the only thing I would change was the placing of tables because when people are passing by, it was very difficult. If someone was in a wheelchair, it could be a problem getting into the tight spaces. The last thing would also be drink order is coming out in a timely manner. Overall, service was great and food was very good.

When I walked in I was greeted by a staff member and seated immediately. Shortly after I was seated my wait staff came over and introduced herself. She took my drink order and said she would allow me time to look over the menu. I asked my wait staff her thoughts on the Mac and cheese. I am picky about eating Mac and cheese from places. Most don't know how to make real Mac & cheese ( if you know what I mean)! She told me it was pretty solid. - As such I ordered the following: Crab bisque Smoked chicken wing plate served with two sides: Mac & cheeses and asparagus were my picks! The crab bisque did take a long time to come out. It was so delayed that my main course came out shortly after the soup. It was not ideal, but I made it work! The crab bisque was solid. I would order it again. The wing plate also exceeded my expectations! I was impressed with the mac and cheese. The asparagus were large, which was concerning to me! Like how did they get so big? Steroids? Nonetheless, they were cooked to perfection! I did get the banana pudding to go- this was the only item I would not order again! It was basic and I only took a few bites and ended up trashing it . Overall I would reconned this spot! Service was spot on- and for a hotel restaurant the food is pretty good!

Steak fries accompanied it, love that cut the best. The buffalo wings were super huge! We were like wtf, lol. But thatsa good thing of course. Now the cheese pizza we ordered for my daughter looked so sad. Looked like a supersized version of the little pizzas you make with a Lunchable. I was not impressed. $16 for that!
