Brown over cooked French fries, 2nd order, dried out!

Do not waste your money. I wasted $106.00! They have a built in 20% gratuity! March 29, 2026 I ordered the shrimp po boy for lunch with French fries. The sandwich was dry, shrimp were bland, ordered sauce and waited 8 more minutes, sandwich was cold. Two orders of French fries were cooked brown. Ordered beef brisket and pulled pork to go, both were bland pulled pork was chopped, and macaroni and cheese was terrible. It taste like it was out of a box, nothing like the pictures on line.

The best steak sandwich you'll ever eat!

This is my new favorite spot! I did not have high expectations of the hotel restaurant... The fact I almost didn't go because it was a hotel restaurant. But it was convenient. Anyway, what an amazing welcome from Mr., John. He took care of us from the very beginning. He was so kind and escorted us right to the restaurant. Then our server A. he made exceptional suggestions in terms of what to order from the menu... According to my sister, he makes a main lemon drop martini as well! There's the location. Restaurant is in a hotel lobby... But it is a beautiful lobby. The seating is comfortable. The space is wide open and it look like a great place to watch a game. I would definitely just want to hang out in this space because of the awesome vibe. But most importantly the food! Oh my God, the food! The best steaks I ever had in life. I ordered the steak sandwich I did not have high hopes because steak sandwiches are always a little tough... Not so. This state was amazingly tender. The toppings were awesome and there was sauce on it. They just gave it the slightest hint of sweetness... It was just amazing. And the collard greens! Oh my God I wanted to run back in the kitchen, I was sure that my mother was in there wrestling up those vittles! Anyway, what can I say ? This definitely my new spot. The ambience, the service outstanding!

    Salmon with smoked cheddar grits

Don't sleep on this restaurant because it's in a Hotel. We 2 nights in a row and both meals were amazing. First night I had the salmon that was cooked perfect with a side of the cheddar smoked grits. The grits were sooo good the second night I went for the shrimp and grits plate with smoked pulled pork on top. We don't get anything like this on the West Coast. Oh my God it was so good. I will be back!

Yummy food, really nice ambience, delicious margaritas! Host was lovely, server left a little to be desired. Tish I believe, was very forgetful, sweet but a bit empty headed. When did servers stop asking how things are going?

This is located in the Hilton hotel. Restaurant is very nice. Sleek and modern. TVs at the bar. Staff was really nice. We started with the green tomatoes. It was really good. Also had pimento cheese with it. It's only 2 tomatoes though. There was 3 of us. We just wish we were told that to begin with. For my drink I had All That Razz. I loved it. It's a perfect mix. For dinner I had the Coca Cola short rib. That was soooo good! Very tender and well seasoned. The vegetables and mashed potatoes were also great. Please note the menu online was slightly different than the menu they gave us. Also parking is validated. I'd come back if I'm ever on that side of town.

Good meal, I liked the slaw that incorporated brussels and the spin on the standard wedge.

    Breakfast pizza with hot honey

From walking in to a welcoming atmosphere to the last bite of an excellent breakfast, this was a wonderful dining experience. There were plenty of delicious drinks to choose from with a fresh juicer and bar service including coffee. We had fresh orange juice and some coffee selections -all delicious (if you're small-town like us, be aware, even plain brewed coffee isn't a free refill). We each got a different breakfast selection, Nutella pancakes with a side of bacon, empanadas with a side of hash browns, chicken and waffles, and breakfast pizza. We had fun chatting, watching the open kitchen, and enjoying the general busyness while we waited (not too long despite the full restaurant). It was a large menu with a lot of delicious sounding food. I struggled to choose, but our server had excellent suggestions. Because of her, I think my breakfast was the winner- breakfast pizza with all the breakfast meats. The food was plentiful and delicious.

For the main course, my girlfriend had the turkey wing with rice, and she really enjoyed it. She said the seasoning was on point and full of flavor. I ordered the fried shrimp with collard greens and candied yams. The candied yams were definitely a highlight -- sweet, flavorful, and cooked just right. The collard greens, though, didn't taste as fresh as I would've liked -- almost like they may have been canned. The iced tea was really good, and my friend enjoyed her glass of wine. One thing to note: everything is served in styrofoam containers with plastic flatware instead of traditional plates and silverware. Not a dealbreaker, just something to be aware of. There's also plenty of parking, which is always a plus. They do offer a military discount, but it only applies to the individual with the military ID -- not the entire table if you're dining with family or on a date. I appreciate that they acknowledge service members, but it would be nice if the discount extended to the whole party. Overall, it was a great experience with very good service, and I'd probably go back again. If you're in the Hapeville area and craving some soul food, it's worth checking out.

Our party consisted of six people, and as you can see from the photos, everyone ordered something different no two dishes were the same. We started with the Craft Mimosa. Our first flavor was watermelon, which is shown in the photo. It was very good and had a strong watermelon flavor. The second flavor we tried was passion fruit, which wasn't my favorite. For a table appetizer, we chose the macaroni balls. They were fried to perfection on the outside, but unfortunately, when I bit into mine, it was cold on the inside, which was a bit disappointing. For my entrée, I ordered the Foul Play (chicken and waffles). I asked for the toppings on the side just in case I didn't like them. The waffle was delicious and didn't even need syrup. The chicken breast was fried well and paired nicely with the waffle. Overall, even though the dish was simple, it was a great choice. Our waitress was very nice and informative. She explained the most popular and top-ordered items, which really helped with our selections. Inside decor was pretty. There was also a bar if solo diner will like to sit there. Will I return? The negatives while we were sat quickly but it took a while for someone to take our order about 2 minutes which is too long. The server was not very happy to be at work, they weren't rude but also not just . We had a small mix up with our food as a side of spinach was put on the wrong plate which wouldn't have been an issue but we weren't all family so sharing after an item was eaten no one wanted to share. Lastly, we asked for a box and had to get it ourselves. Would I go back? Yes! I know this reviews seems harsh but overall it was a good experience.

With no self-parking visible, you're forced to follow the road behind the building into a paid lot. Parking is free for the first 2 hours, which would later prove to be an issue. Inside, the hotel aesthetic is bright and clean, and we were promptly greeted and seated, however, this was the last positive moment regarding service. Service: Our server, Sierra, set the tone quickly. Despite the restaurant not being busy and appearing well-staffed, it took an unusually long time just to take our drink orders. When we asked for white zinfandel, we received a rude response: "We only have the drinks on the menu." Ironically, my friend then asked for a margarita, which was not on the menu, and the bartender somehow managed to make it. Consistency and professionalism were clearly missing. Throughout the experience, attention to service level was non-existent. Sierra couldn't keep track of who ordered what, and delays continued for everything: taking orders, delivering takeout containers, splitting checks, and even getting water refills (which never arrived). At this point, we were joking that the server must get a kickback for delaying guests long enough to exceed the free parking window. Check-Out Chaos: At checkout, mass confusion set in. Sierra painstakingly recorded who ordered what, yet our checks still came out wrong. To avoid further delays, we privately sorted the difference within our group. When the signed receipts and cards were returned, we asked about parking validation--only to learn parking is just free for 2 hours, no validation provided. We rushed out, only to hit 2 hours and 1 minute, triggering a parking fee. As if that wasn't enough, one of our party members went back to leave a tip, only to be told we never paid. Sierra accused us of taking both copies of the receipt, despite never providing two in the first place. When we quickly returned to reconcile the confusion and were met with shifting stories: first we didn't owe anything, then she thought we were hotel guests, then finally that we took both receipts. The insult was unnecessary, disrespectful, and completely out of line. Final Thoughts: Great food, however server was rude, disorganized, and accusatory. If you go, pack patience and maybe a stopwatch for parking.

I've visited Apron for dinner twice - once for Valentine's Day and recently. The experiences were…read moreso different. Valentine's Day was 4 stars and recent experience was 2 stars. Valentine's Day was a fixed price menu with selections for salads, entrees and dessert. The restaurant was packed and there were a lot of people working, at least 2 hosts and multiple servers, I would guess 5. Because it was so crowded it took a minute for our server to greet us but after that, it was all smooth sailing. We made our selections and our food came out hot and delicious; so good that we decided we'd come back. On our Valentine's Day visit, we got a look at someone's burger and decided we'd come back and try it. This recent visit was the exact opposite of Valentine's Day. No one was at the host stand. We waited quite a while to be seated and the person who seated us was talking to a bar patron while we stood there. Not off to a good start. Once we were seated, it took a while for our server to come but this made sense because they were solidly busy and there were only 2 people working the table and 1 person at the bar. There were some other people coming and going from the bar but I never saw any of them work a table. Our server was super nice, but we had the longest wait for ketchup I've ever had - at least 7-8 minutes. My fries were cold and I'd given up on my meal by the time she brought it. My burger looked great and it was hot when it arrived but it had a smell. A bad smell like mop water, something wet and moldy. But it LOOKED good. At first, I thought the smell was something else - maybe something wafted from the bar being cleaned? But after a few bites, I decided it was the burger and I stopped eating it. My boyfriend thought I was crazy and asked for a to-go box for the burger. But when we got in the car, the smell was still there and it was for sure the burger. About 2 hours later, the stomach cramps started. I felt like I was going to vomit but never did, I only experienced waves of nausea. The next morning, I took some activated charcoal to clear my stomach and felt normal in a few hours. For the record, my boyfriend's burger was fine and he didn't get sick, so there was probably some random cross-contamination that happened in the kitchen to ruin my burger. With this last experience in mind, I think we'll stick to a special night when going to Apron.
