Thursday Lunch Special Brisket Loaded Baked Potato
    Cheryl D.

I finally snagged this coveted Thursday special Loaded Brisket Baked Potato. BBQ sauce not pictured. Everyday, M-F that is, Pit Boss has a daily special. Thursday is highly talked about where I work. These potatoes sell out quick. You can have your choice of meats, but that Brisket, is so good! Smoky, flavorful, seasoned just right!! I ordered it through Door Dash, because that line at lunch time is a beast! Order early, is my best advice, because they do sell-out!

If you know me you know I absolutely love Pit Boss. Today's visit was an absolute detractor experience for me and has me baffled... Let me explain. I was heading home and I had to have some Rib Tips. To make the best use of time, I placed my order via UberEats and headed to Pit Boss to pick it up. The pickup process was easy and smooth. I walked in, provided my name, retrieved my order, signed for it, and was on my way. Now... here's where it went down hill. I opened my container and was disconcerted at what I saw. The portion was that of a kid's meal. The rib tips and fries looked as if they were just thrown in the container, and worst of all... the flavor profile of my rib tips wasn't the usual Pit Boss Amazement I have become accustomed to. I concluded that due to the fact that I placed my order online for pick up, there was a lack of quality and care put into my order. Yet, when dining in, the portions are fitting for an adult, the flavor profile is always spot on, and you can taste the care that is put into the making of the order. Though I love Pit Boss, I must admit, this experience has me unnerved as it relates to ordering to-go ever again... Table for 1, please.

This was my first and last time visiting this place. Nasty is an understatement. The ribs were dry, the brisket was tasteless and the Brunswick stew was gross. Came here for a work meeting and was not pleased. The service was prompt and the ambiance was friendly with a whole bunch of contractors that work in the area. I don't have anything good to say about this food. I will never come back. Dry ribs and nasty taste.

We stumbled upon Pit Boss Barbecue while waiting for friends to arrive from the airport--and what a great find! The staff was fantastic--friendly, welcoming, and full of great suggestions. They greeted us enthusiastically as soon as we walked in, setting the tone for a great meal. A live musician played bass the entire two hours we were there, adding to the cozy vibe. We ordered the Rib Tip Dinner with baked mac & cheese. The meat was juicy with a perfect crisp, and the mac & cheese was full of flavor. The cheesy mashed potatoes were a bit heavy for me, but the peach cobbler was amazing! Their barbecue sauce added just the right kick. Overall, delicious food, great music, and warm service--I'd definitely come back!

Stopped in yesterday during the cold, windy snowy day we were having in Atlanta. This place was an old favorite, and I hadn't been in a really long time, and was hungry for the comfort of some tender BBQ Ribs .... Well, the young lady at the counter was super sweet in delivering the bad news that they were completely out of Ribs and Chicken :( So not to be outdone, they do serve a true "chopped pork" sandwich and it's really delicious- their sauce is good and they put plenty of meat on it. That sandwich coupled with Slaw and Fries worked out fine.... But I'm still wanting those ribs today. Also grabbed a slice of pound cake...it was delicious also. I absolutely recommend this place and will be back for ribs real soon. The location is great, plenty of parking and seating and it looks like a really nice outdoor seating area is available when it warms up. The folks working there were gracious and kind.

I've been here previously to the old location in the old building by myself. The second time visiting I went with my sister Medinah a couple of years ago in the new building. The food here is good and delicious. I didn't try the whole menu so I can't speak on all of that. My go to entree's are the smoked wings with fries and the brisket sandwich with sauce! This is what I like plain and simple and delicious. I got my food through Uber Eats this time around. I got my food on 10-22-2025.Pull up and support if you are in the area.

The food was so disappointing. I ordered the 3 meat plate but they were out of both Rob types and wings so I had the rib tips, pulled pork, and brisket. My two sides were baked beans and collard greens. I added an extra side of coleslaw. First the salt level is out of this world on everything even the coleslaw! All of the bar was over cooked and dried out. The brisket was the worst. It was hard, dried out, and chewy. The pulled pork was dry and chewy. The rib tips were ok, I believe the fat saved them on the inside but they were the most salty. The collard greens tasted like just greens with a lot of salt. The baked beans were ok just like the bush's can. The coleslaw amazingly was salty as well and had a strange celery salt flavor. Without the drink and extra side, this was absolutely not worth $38. Everything came to $43 without tip. The amount of food was not the best either, my hand is in the photo for reference. I'm ok with that though because if I ate it all I would probably greet high blood pressure. Service was quick and polite. Ambiance was like an old school bar so a bit loud but expected. The place was clean as well.

They had a DJ spinning some killer music. The staff was great all very nice and helpful. The food was ok at best. The brisket was hard a cold. The Mac n cheese had a different taste that I couldn't quite pin point. The cornbread was hard dry and not very good flavor. The sauces were only mild and hot. I was hoping for something more sweet and spicy but didn't see anything. The baked beans were the best part. I unfortunately don't think I'll ever go back.

Came across this place while in town for the weekend. It was a very spacious restaurant with a bar in the front and they had live entertainment. You come in and order at the back whether you are dining in or doing carry-out. I got my order to go but if you dine in you place your order and then choose where you want to sit and they bring your food to your table. Since I did carry out I waited near the back and they called my name when my order was ready. The staff were very friendly and it didn't take long to receive my order. I ordered the platter with 3 meats so I could try different items. I had the smoked wings, brisket and rib tips. The meats were very tender. The wings were well seasoned. I felt the seasoning on the brisket could have been better but with the sauce it was tasty. The rib tips were pretty good. Overall it was a nice spot for bbq with a good atmosphere.

This place really brought me a nostalgic feeling of being a little girl at the family barbecue. This is honestly the best bbq I've had in Atlanta thus far. I think I might have found a go to spot to take family before their flights. The spare ribs juicy and tender. The brisket was also really good. I've never had Brunswick Stew until my visit and that was amazing as well. Overall, the food and atmosphere were great. The staff were extremely friendly as well.

Leftovers of all the meat. We should have taken a better picture while everything was plated!

We're from Texas and wanted to try to some Georgia BBQ before we left. This place was recommended and it was perfect! Warnette took care of us at the bar. She was absolutely wonderful! The food was amazing! Pulled pork, sliced brisket, sausage on a bun, pork rinds (Cajun & lemon pepper mixed together) and Juice Quest & Orange Diva local beers. Great little dive bar feel with amazing food. The entire staff was wonderful- but Warnette made our visit one for the books. Will visit again the next time we're in Atlanta.

We are visiting Altanta from Los Angeles, and anytime I visit the south, I have to find a must visit again Bbq joint, and this is it! The guy greeting you at the door seemed like a sweetheart. He was polite and informative, such anice guy! The kid taking my order and the guy handing me my food was nice as well. The order came fairly quickly. Nice customer service all the way around. Brisket sandwich 10/10! Absolutely delicious and you get a nice amount. By itself, it's smokey with the right amount of salty. Add a little bbq sauce, I tried both hot and regular, hot has a nice not to hot kick, but mixed with the regular and it's the perfect combination. Greens 9.6/10! Really flavorful, only reason it's not a ten, at least for me, I needed a little vinegar just to add depth. But very tender and all-around good. Peach cobbler 3/10 Too doughy, and not enough peaches. I prefer more peach than crust. It was honestly a little underbaked. Good amount of sweetness but not much more flavor. No cinnamon, no nutmeg...etc! Peach tea...I added a little to the regular sweet tea, and it was a good pairing. The little peach tea I did add had a very peachy flavor and lessened the sweetness, which was perfect. But we are in the south, and i know how sacred sweet tea is, so....the sweeter the better. Solid BBQ joint!

We hadn't been here in years and it has been recompletely remodeled to the point where we were thought maybe we had come to the wrong address. It looks great and thankfully the food was as amazing as we remembered! The brisket was so tender it literally melted on my tongue so that I didn't know where my tongue ended and the meat began. This remains the best brisket I have ever tasted. Everything was good, but the brisket is the goat.

Ask the Community - Pit Boss BBQ

    Is this location open?

Yes. You can smell the smoker. Enjoy.

Does the new location serve beer?

I did not see any alcohol options available.

Do they take reservations for parties larger than 10?

Honestly, I don't think they take reservations. The place is a proverbial hole in the wall with service first come first serve. But I'm sure you could arrange it where they could reserve an area for you.

Will it be open Memorial Day?

    Usually, limited hours

For the most part, people seemed to enjoy it so I was convinced I should check it out. The restaurant is located inside of the Hilton airport Hotel. There is a secure parking lot that requires you to pull a ticket when you enter. The restaurant will validate the parking ticket for you ! When I walked in I was greeted by a staff member and seated immediately. Shortly after I was seated my wait staff came over and introduced herself. She took my drink order and said she would allow me time to look over the menu. I asked my wait staff her thoughts on the Mac and cheese. I am picky about eating Mac and cheese from places. Most don't know how to make real Mac & cheese ( if you know what I mean)! She told me it was pretty solid. - As such I ordered the following: Crab bisque Smoked chicken wing plate served with two sides: Mac & cheeses and asparagus were my picks! The crab bisque did take a long time to come out. It was so delayed that my main course came out shortly after the soup. It was not ideal, but I made it work! The crab bisque was solid. I would order it again. The wing plate also exceeded my expectations! I was impressed with the mac and cheese. The asparagus were large, which was concerning to me! Like how did they get so big? Steroids? Nonetheless, they were cooked to perfection! I did get the banana pudding to go- this was the only item I would not order again! It was basic and I only took a few bites and ended up trashing it . Overall I would reconned this spot! Service was spot on- and for a hotel restaurant the food is pretty good!

For the main course, my girlfriend had the turkey wing with rice, and she really enjoyed it. She said the seasoning was on point and full of flavor. The collard greens, though, didn't taste as fresh as I would've liked -- almost like they may have been canned. The iced tea was really good, and my friend enjoyed her glass of wine. One thing to note: everything is served in styrofoam containers with plastic flatware instead of traditional plates and silverware. Not a dealbreaker, just something to be aware of. There's also plenty of parking, which is always a plus.
