Everything I've tried is perfect. Great late night food. Other food trucks are in this area but this is my go to.

This place was a food truck outside of Grady hospital. It was late night and I don't want junk food completely so I went by. There is a mix of medical workers and reg people outside so you know that was colorful. I ordered Fried Fish and Shared the Rib Tips and Jerk Chicken w my boyfriend. The food ended up coming out so amazing. The macaroni and cheese was really good also. The wait was about 20 min because the do some type of Togo order system probably due to the hospital workers. But 10/10

Great portion sizes and some really good BBQ you ll find at this truck. After a late night at a concert, we found them open on google. Like the variety on the menu, pretty much anything you're craving at the end of a good night. The rib tips are fire, super flavorful and tender. They go a little too hard with the black pepper on some of their items, so thats my only critique. But otherwise, the guys definitely put in work at this truck!

Cool food truck right outside of Grady Hospital! Food & service are great but the wait will be at least 20/30 min so I recommend you call your order in!

Smoky Kitchen BBQ is hands down the greatest late-night BBQ I've ever had. With 3 guys, 2 smokers, 2 deep frying pots, and a truck, the operation seems to primarily serve workers in Grady Hospital, downtown emergency services, and local construction. They open around 11:30 PM each weekday with a whiteboard of food options, and they erase food options from the whiteboard as they run out of items until they close around 4 AM. Options for meats vary by day but include ribs, sausage, grilled and fried chicken (tenders, thighs and wings!), and fried seafood. The sides seem to run out faster: mac & cheese, million-dollar spaghetti, baked beans, and and more. They accept cash and card. I got a spicy sausage on a bun ($3) and pork rib tips ($8). The sausage was flavorful and legitimately spicy. I appreciate that they had tartar sauce as a condiment option! The pork rib tips came in a huge portion with 2 slices of white bread and an optional tomato-based BBQ sauce. While I couldn't detect any smoky flavor, the ribs were tender and flavorful. I was delighted to eat this on a windowsill. These guys are doing the noble task of feeding many medical workers in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. There are very few restaurants operating after midnight during this crisis, and these guys are drawing small crowds from across the street. As a certified night owl, I plan on biking over here often. Their only online presence seems to be their Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/smokykitchenbbq/

I also had the smoked cheeseburger which I highly recommend. Sides like mac and cheese, coleslaw, and baked beans complement the meats well. The mac and cheese, in particular, receives rave reviews for its creamy texture. Owens & Hull BBQ stands out for its commitment to quality barbecue in a welcoming environment. This spot used to be called something else and from my understanding they merged together. I wasn't a fan of the previous bbq spot but this is ok. As a family, we had ribs, sausage, collards, Mac and cheese, and baked beans. The smoke ring on the ribs was nice; however, there wasn't a great bark on them. I didn't care for any of the bbq sauces. The sausage was ok, it had cheese inside of it. All of the sides were average to good. I like that the platter was served with onions, good pickles, and white bread. That part reminded me of bbq at home. It's pretty easy to order at the counter and they bring your food out to you. We went on a Saturday night and it was pretty empty. I'm guessing they have more lunchtime traffic. I do plan to come back a little earlier so that I can try their wings before they're sold out.

What initially brought me in was Atlanta Burger Week, and I ordered their featured burger to take advantage of the special. While the burger was good, the real star of the meal was the smoked barbecue fried rice with brisket. It was absolutely fantastic. The brisket was incredibly tender and practically melted in your mouth. The fried rice itself was packed with flavor and had such a unique, smoky taste that perfectly complemented the barbecue. It is not often that a side dish completely steals the show, but this one certainly did. The atmosphere was welcoming, the food arrived promptly, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. It is always exciting to discover a restaurant that delivers something a little different, and Sweet Auburn BBQ does exactly that by blending flavors and cuisines in a way that feels both creative and comforting. I left full, impressed, and honestly a little disappointed in myself for waiting so long to visit. This definitely will not be my last trip, and I already know the smoked barbecue fried rice with brisket will be ordered again.

AMBIANCE The experience got off to a rough start with parking. They validate parking at a local parking structure or garage but the directions on the placard outside the establishment were unclear.... with an arrow to the back. The back of what? As newcomers to the restaurant and the area, the parking structure and restaurant that was point of refernece was not helpful. There wasn't even an address or street name to go by. We ended up circling behind nearby buildings and down another street before finally finding the parking structure. It felt unnecessarily confusing and set a slightly frustrating tone before we even walked in. Once inside, things improved. We were seated right away in a booth on the right side of the dining room. The space had a stylish, eclectic feel....interesting decor with a lively, buzzy energy. Not overly loud, but definitely active for a weekday night. SERVICE Service was efficient and welcoming through though. Our waitress quickly brought water and drinks and gave us time to look over the menu. The concept of Asian fusion twist meets Southern BBQ is intriguing, but as first-timers, it took some effort to picture how the flavors would come together. We found ourselves cross-referencing Yelp photos for awhile just to get a better sense of what to expect. FOOD We decided to get started with the brisket egg rolls, one of their most popular items. They arrived in about 10-15 minutes and were a solid opener...found them crispy, flavorful, and a creative twist on the usual pork ones. For mains, we ordered the BBQ plate with fries and collards, along with the smoked chicken curry. The BBQ plate was fine...nothing really amazing and pretty tiny portions for what you're paying for. The flavors were good, but not justified for the premium. The chicken curry was fine. For $17.50, I definitely expected more pulled pork that people were raving about....the dish was more than 1/2 rice and potatoes. The standout, by far, was the brisket egg roll...easily the highlight of the meal and better than we anticipated given the fusion concept. Overall, it felt like you're paying a bit more for the concept and presentation than the actual quantity. Wouldn't come back again.
