From the outside it doesn't give its full potential but the food. They food is worth the location. Inside is small and casual. It's a great pregame dinner and hang out spot. The bartender and owner were there and were amazing!! I got the shrimp basket but everyone at the table enjoyed their meals. For an appetizer we ordered the Queenz Platter that consisted of 2 Kirkwood Steak Rolls, 2 Soul Rolls and 2 Seafood Rolls served with sweet chili, hot honey and spicy mayo for dipping sauce. 10/10 !!! Everything was SO fresh and packed with flavor. The soul rolls had Mac n cheese, greens, pulled chicken, and white rice inside. The seafood rolls had shrimp, crab, lobster and fried cabbage. The steak rolls had mozzarella, peppers, onions, and steak. Fire !! The ambiance was nice vibrant Our waitress was very nice and attentive. I ordered shrimp for myself and steak and two sides for my husband. My food and his steak was great. There was a miscommunication as his sides were under the steak so we thought they were missing. The Food was great, but the owner was rude when I tried to call back and tell her we found the sides she blocked us. My experience lacked luster. I would like to think of myself as a vibe. It doesn't matter if I go by myself or others. All the other raving reviews made me put this spot high on my radar. I thought vibe would match vibe. Instead I received below par service, over priced food. Even though I thought the rolls were creative. The lamb was small and salty for $45 not worth it. I ended up spending $83 dollars. Oh and they charge for the glaze on the lamb chops, and extra for sides. Service at the bar was slow and very not mindful. 4 tables, and 3 people at the bar. 3 tables almost done with their service. I ended up placing my order to go. After around 5 minutes I asked for water. Even though I ordered a frozen mimosa. Got my water in a travel cup. 10-15 minutes later I get my food. The bartender passes me my food. I said can I have my drink now? Worse, the cup wasn't filled. And the bottom was filled with fruit syrup. So the taste profile wasn't the same from start to finish. He totally forgot. It happens. However because I wasnt treated like a customer, or made to feel like returning. It's not ok. Food. Ordered the lamb chops, side of Mac and cheese, and broccoli. When I got home, the chops were tiny. Mac was firm but the cheese sauce cradled. No real creaminess or cheese pull. Broccoli was seasoned perfectly but over cooked. All day brunch and all day dinner spot w fun cocktails should be a vibe. Instead I think it's overpriced and need work on customer service. I've been wanting to try this restaurant for a while and finally ventured out today. They are close to 20 off the Maynard Terrace exit. When you pull into the lot a valet attendant asks if you are there for the restaurant. It is $10 cash to valet and $11 if you pay with a card. The restaurant is not big, but they have tables and a bar area. The wall decor is very pretty and has clean lines. It looked like a chic living room out of a magazine. The seats were velvety and comfy and the colors were warm. We sat at the bar because a table would be a 10 minute wait. It wasn't busy, but the tables were full. Our server was the one who greeted us when we walked in. Her name was Kari. She came to the bar and introduced herself and gave us the QR code for the menu. We decided to order the Queen's appetizer (not sure of the name) it had three different egg rolls, 2 of each, and was only $25. We decided against the hunch punch. The pouch was a turn off for me. I'm not a fan of adult capri-suns. Our food was spectacular. Our server was amazing. We were in and out in under an hour and still had time to go do some shopping. The only thing I did not like about this restaurant was the loud trap music. It was super loud. I couldn't hear the server talk when she addressed us at the door, then it was filled with profanity. No beeps, just cuss words. I didn't ask for the music to be turned down or off because the staff were enjoying it and that seemed to be the vibe of the restaurant. I just know in the future, I may have to endure loud music when I go back. I forgot to add the restaurant charges a service fee and the server said she only got a few dollars of that fee, so you are offered the option to tip on top of the service fee. read more

Had the best brunch experience at Southern Queenz this Sunday! I ordered the shrimp develes eggs and catfish / shrimp basket. Everything was 100/10! My friends ordered a few other plates and every single thing was cooked to order and was made to perfection! Our server Aaliyah was super sweet and attentive. There was no wait when I went. Parking on the weekend is $10, valet. No handicap parking spaces which violates GA code 40-6-225 (2024). Blame was placed on the building owner, and valet cost was because ALL Atlanta restaurants charge - but because someone else does it, doesn't make it right!!! Service was EXTREMELY rushed. However it was extremely slow waiting on food to arrive. 2-hour table limit, but nothing posted to alert you. Was told we couldn't be seated until the full party arrived. Was not even offered the option to sit at the bar to order a drink, instead was told we had to wait in the car for the rest of the party to arrive - TOTAL miss of an upsell on drinks! Overpriced for food that is just okay, not overly spectacular. The fried chicken was delicious. Gratuity was automatically attached to the bill. Again, overpriced. Music was EXTREMELY loud. Almost at a level beyond enjoyable for table conversations. Restaurant is extremely small, so other table conversations and loud music made it extremely loud. (Not pictured) I tasted the fried green tomatoes and the seafood egg rolls, both very good! I would've preferred the tomatoes without the blue cheese crumbles but overall good! Egg rolls were great! Only 6 shrimp, but they are huuuge. Hot Honey shrimp should be in the Menu! The Dirty Rice is addicting. I've never had something like it, it's kind if like Jubalaya. I want to get a a catering order of it and bring it to Thanksgiving and act like I made it. The Mac N Cheese was right with a thick layer of cheese on top. The seafood egg rolls were okay, kind of small and could have used an additional stuffin...like dirty rice! The service was fast and super friendly. The salmon was pretty bland and the pasta was dry and tasted lemony. They could've added more sauce to the pasta. The bread that came with it was good and overall it was a good serving size. I got the soul food egg rolls to try. It was an interesting combo. There was a lot of Mac and cheese and not much of anything else. The lemon pound cake was decent. I can't say it's the best I've had for it to be homemade. I wanted to go inside another time to try some other items on the menu but I doubt I'll do that. Not because of the price but I understand the Atlanta thing to do is to charge to park in a shopping center parking lot when it's normally free. I find it tacky and there's only 10 parking spots anyway. I was fine with my service but I noticed I ordered, received and finished my food and nobody else received theirs. The drinks were delicious as well. I had a lemon drop and it was very good! This is perfect for a date night or if you're looking for something to do with just a few people. They do have seating at the bar however it's not huge on the inside so I would definitely recommend making a reservation if you were going to go during peak hours. The restaurant called when our table was ready and were even waiting in the car at a spot in front of the restaurant. The vibes are intimate and fun inside. There is limited seating, which resulted in us sitting at the end of the bar, almost behind the counter. The lamb chops were very delicious with the teriyaki glaze and I love how it came with two sides. The Mac and yams both had good flavors for traditional southern dishes. Came here on a Saturday afternoon. I was told it was a 40 minute wait however the wait was 1.5 hours. They take reservations but it has to be at least a party of 5 and there are no reservations on Sunday only walk in. Parking is $10 to park on the weekends. I ordered the frozen mimosa it was really good, chicken wings for appetizer were decent. The shrimp deviled eggs were the bomb and tbt shrimp was juicy and seasoned.
