Does not take reservations for parties under 5. Limited parking but valet available. Great appetizers and menu items along with nice drink options. Server was excellent. Food was delicious and that is hard to come by with southern staples of collards, macaroni and cheese, etc. Quaint size and not too large. Could use an upgrade on some of the seats that are low, old and some stained. Has table and bar seating.

We were out in Atlanta for Mother's Day's Weekend and went here for dinner. Alexis the host greeted us with an amazing smile and I ur server Nina greeted us with such an enthusiastic attitude and worked with our group for the order. It was amazing food and the restaurant was decorated for the occasion.

Food was great with good customer service. It's located in a shared plaza with a fair amount of free parking, but it's a small venue. We came during slow hours, and there was one waitress/bartender. The food and drinks were good. I would come here again and recommend it.

Lamb Chop Dinner w/ Mac and broccoli

My experience lacked luster. I would like to think of myself as a vibe. It doesn't matter if I go by myself or others. All the other raving reviews made me put this spot high on my radar. I thought vibe would match vibe. Instead I received below par service, over priced food. Even though I thought the rolls were creative. The lamb was small and salty for $45 not worth it. I ended up spending $83 dollars. Oh and they charge for the glaze on the lamb chops, and extra for sides. Service at the bar was slow and very not mindful. 4 tables, and 3 people at the bar. 3 tables almost done with their service. I ended up placing my order to go. After around 5 minutes I asked for water. Even though I ordered a frozen mimosa. Got my water in a travel cup. 10-15 minutes later I get my food. The bartender passes me my food. I said can I have my drink now? Worse, the cup wasn't filled. And the bottom was filled with fruit syrup. So the taste profile wasn't the same from start to finish. He totally forgot. It happens. However because I wasnt treated like a customer, or made to feel like returning. It's not ok. Food. Ordered the lamb chops, side of Mac and cheese, and broccoli. When I got home, the chops were tiny. Mac was firm but the cheese sauce cradled. No real creaminess or cheese pull. Broccoli was seasoned perfectly but over cooked. All day brunch and all day dinner spot w fun cocktails should be a vibe. Instead I think it's overpriced and need work on customer service. I think Atlanta is getting out of control with these small eateries that promise spectacular food, charge 18-20%gratuity but the service is basic.

Started with the seafood rolls accompanied by a creamy dipping sauce. Came here for the rasta pasta, which I got with shrimp (and it comes with toast). It was good, only critique for me was it was a bit too salty - either from the cheese or seasonings. The lamb chop rasta pasta was said to be a 9/10. This individual cleared the plate. The mac and cheese was cool. The yams with the marshmallow was perfect for going into the fall. The short rib plate was said to be a 5/10, very fatty. Service was awkward

Peach Chicken & Waffles was great. Waffle texture was very different, but good; chicken tenders fried perfectly. The soft peach slice and peach compote garnish were wonderful complements to the dish. Also has the Soul Roll (egg roll with soul food bits in it); the sauce paired very well with it. Seating area is small. Restaurant entrance/doorway, window sills, etc. need a deep clean.

I've been wanting to try this restaurant for a while and finally ventured out today. They are close to 20 off the Maynard Terrace exit. When you pull into the lot a valet attendant asks if you are there for the restaurant. It is $10 cash to valet and $11 if you pay with a card. The restaurant is not big, but they have tables and a bar area. The wall decor is very pretty and has clean lines. It looked like a chic living room out of a magazine. The seats were velvety and comfy and the colors were warm. We sat at the bar because a table would be a 10 minute wait. It wasn't busy, but the tables were full. Our server was the one who greeted us when we walked in. Her name was Kari. She came to the bar and introduced herself and gave us the QR code for the menu. We decided to order the Queen's appetizer (not sure of the name) it had three different egg rolls, 2 of each, and was only $25. We decided against the hunch punch. The pouch was a turn off for me. I'm not a fan of adult capri-suns. Our food was spectacular. Our server was amazing. We were in and out in under an hour and still had time to go do some shopping. The only thing I did not like about this restaurant was the loud trap music. It was super loud. I couldn't hear the server talk when she addressed us at the door, then it was filled with profanity. No beeps, just cuss words. I didn't ask for the music to be turned down or off because the staff were enjoying it and that seemed to be the vibe of the restaurant. I just know in the future, I may have to endure loud music when I go back. I forgot to add the restaurant charges a service fee and the server said she only got a few dollars of that fee, so you are offered the option to tip on top of the service fee.

Had the best brunch experience at Southern Queenz this Sunday! I ordered the shrimp develes eggs and catfish / shrimp basket. Everything was 100/10! My friends ordered a few other plates and every single thing was cooked to order and was made to perfection! Our server Aaliyah was super sweet and attentive. There was no wait when I went. There was a parking fee but I was able to negotiate with the attendant. The overall restaurant vibe was very relaxed. It's a smaller restaurant but I think it's perfect for the menu and the quick turnaround time. I'll definitely be back!!

Parking on the weekend is $10, valet. No handicap parking spaces which violates GA code 40-6-225 (2024). Blame was placed on the building owner, and valet cost was because ALL Atlanta restaurants charge - but because someone else does it, doesn't make it right!!! Service was EXTREMELY rushed. However it was extremely slow waiting on food to arrive. 2-hour table limit, but nothing posted to alert you. Was told we couldn't be seated until the full party arrived. Was not even offered the option to sit at the bar to order a drink, instead was told we had to wait in the car for the rest of the party to arrive - TOTAL miss of an upsell on drinks! Overpriced for food that is just okay, not overly spectacular. The fried chicken was delicious. Gratuity was automatically attached to the bill. Again, overpriced. Music was EXTREMELY loud. Almost at a level beyond enjoyable for table conversations. Restaurant is extremely small, so other table conversations and loud music made it extremely loud. Would NOT recommend-too many other options. Will not be back!

Best soul food I ever had !! I am a big fan of soul food but I never like Mac and cheese I ever had ! Not too heavy and greasy and also the fried checked is amazing ! Our server / bartender Naani did a good job recommending us the foods that is just right for us. Her service is great and also give us great recommendation about where to go in the city. Highly recommended!

Place is very small, tucked away in a small plaza. Service is slow and took a while for our party as well as others to receive their food. However when the food came it was great! (Not pictured) I tasted the fried green tomatoes and the seafood egg rolls, both very good! I would've preferred the tomatoes without the blue cheese crumbles but overall good! Egg rolls were great! Sweet tea is good and so is the lemonades, although the lemonade does not come with a free refill. The turkey wing was very tender and flavorful, I also really enjoyed my cabbage. Overall besides the slow service the food was very good

From the appetizer to my meal it was all delicious. Our waitress was delightful , it was the best meal we had in the ATL.

Let's start with the mandatory valet parking! They have a limited parking spaces in that small plaza and charge $10.!!!! The hospitality from servers was amazing ! We sat down and decided not to stay..perhaps another time ...just was turned off by the parking fee...small stylish tastefully decorated... the menu different was a bit overpriced ...I promise when I get back to the US and I will park across the street.... I will give them another try!

We had to make a decision quickly when we were pivoting, and when we came across the great reviews and photos of the food. we didn't think twice about checking to see if we could make it happen. When we arrived, the staff was already preparing our table, so we only had to wait a few minutes before being seated. The space is pretty tight, and you're going to be close to the tables near you, but we were able to sit comfortably. Our server came over quickly to take our drink orders, and afterward she came back to answer any questions. Most of the food was ready at the same time. We appreciated that it came out as it was ready and wasn't left sitting. And everyone enjoyed the food! The only "complaint" one of my friends had was that she thought there was a little too much sauce in her shrimp and grits dish. She felt that the sauce, while it tasted great, overpowered the dish and she would've liked to taste more of the grits flavor. All in all, I'd say we'll likely be back to try something else on the menu.

Title: Flavor Explosion, Soulful Hospitality & a Last-Minute Meal That Turned Magical…read more Let me just say this: what started as a "quick bite before closing" turned into one of the most memorable dining experiences I've had in a long time. We arrived at The Poach Social about 20 minutes before closing, unsure if we'd be rushed--but instead, we were welcomed with warmth and ease. Lived the ambiance. Hunter, our server, was incredibly sweet, attentive, and knowledgeable. She made us feel taken care of from the very start. Then came Victor, the owner and chef--and this is where things shifted from good to special. Without us even asking, he recommended a mocktail that felt like it was made just for me: a sorrel-based drink layered with ginger, spice, herbs, and fresh fruit. It was refreshing, balanced, and honestly one of the best non-alcoholic drinks I've had. We started with the jerk egg rolls... and I'm not exaggerating when I say we were clapping after the first bite. Crispy, juicy, flavorful, with a sweet-spicy sauce that just worked. We immediately knew we'd be taking more to go. For the main course, we ordered the Poach Social breakfast plate and the blackened salmon with polenta. The breakfast plate was comforting and well-executed, but the salmon dish? Absolutely unforgettable. Perfectly seasoned, melt-in-your-mouth texture, with creamy polenta and a rich sauce that brought everything together. It was a full-on flavor experience. The timing of everything--from drinks to apps to entrées--was seamless. Hunter checked in at the perfect moments, never too much, never too little. We ended up in a lovely conversation with Victor, who is not only talented but genuinely kind and passionate. He brought us complimentary slices of carrot cake, and even though we were already full... we ate every bite. No regrets. It was phenomenal. What I loved most is that this place doesn't just serve food--it creates an experience. There's intention, care, and heart behind everything. If you're in Atlanta, do yourself a favor and go. This place deserves to thrive. We will absolutely be back.

The cashier really leaned into the accent and took the time to thoroughly explain the menu, which made the whole experience feel more immersive and welcoming. Parking was easy on an early weekday afternoon -- always a win. The space works well for small parties, but be prepared: tables are small and seating is close together.
