I'd been wanting to come here for the longest time, and while my Mom was visiting recently I took the opportunity to take her there for brunch one Saturday about 2 weeks ago. We were greeted warmly by a lady at the Bar, and a gentleman at the host stand - showed us our table - it's a really sweet place, very inviting atmosphere. Our server - I believe he said his name was Monte - stopped by got our drink orders and came back a little later to get app and food orders. We started with the Cognac Glazed Wings and Fried Green Tomato appetizers- both were on point and delicious- fried green tomatoes were perfectly sliced (thin) crispy and good. I was pretty excited at this point looking forward to our main courses ...things went a little south from here - things began to get overlooked and we began to feel forgotten about..server disappears for a while - well he didn't really disappear he just went and sat at the bar for a while and busied himself with his phone...meanwhile our drinks were empty and our food was sitting in the pick up window ...he eventually brought it all out and it looked amazing. While we were waiting my Mom asked another person (the gentleman who seated us) for more coffee - he took her cup then came back and said it would be 15 mins as a fresh pot was brewing. As we ate our food which was various temperatures- my side of potatoes were ice cold...I managed to flag down Monte- and asked him if I could possibly get some hot potatoes- he took the side and headed towards the window to the kitchen ...then back to the bar to get back on the phone. During the next 25 mins - No coffee ever arrived and my potatoes never made it back...the biscuits are good btw ...they split them and toast them on the griddle- mine was good but my mom asked me to taste hers and it tasted like old rank grease had somehow been on the griddle when hers was toasted. Monte shows back up after a bit of time and presents us with a ticket that has and 18% tip already figured into the bill - I would absolutely feel great about that and likely even have gone to 20% for "decent" service, hot food and coffee...but our service experience wasn't good and when given a chance to make things right- you leave and never come back other than to claim your tip.. I can't do that again. I'm leaving a 2 star primarily for the service issues and being made to feel like we didn't matter. I hated to write this because after months of driving by I sooo wanted to love this place.

The biscuit is great! It's a homemade biscuit thick fluffy and warm! We purchased the lemon ricotta waffle strawberry with wings, the catfish seafood biscuit, and the hot honey chicken biscuit. The wings and chicken w/biscuit were good. The catfish and shrimp were a bit fishy tasting (like thawed in fish water and fried). Service was very slow, but we did not have to wait to be seated. The bloody mary drink was phenomenal! I will be back for that biscuit!

Great Food Truck Race anyone?? Was drawn here by their feature on the Food Network. The place has a fun and instagram worthy theme and vibe. Service was just okay but relatively fast. The surprise... the best item on the menu were the waffles. They were quite good both chicken and waffles and those topped with strawberries. Truly, impressed. The biscuits themselves got mixed reviews, but overall our group landed at "fine". I think sweet is truly this place's sweet spot over savory. Overall, would be an okay spot for a cute selfie, a waffle, an homage to the Food Truck Race but don't hang your hat on the biscuit.

We will be back for more bisquits!

Great vibe! Great food! Great service! We will be back! This was the perfect place for a quick Sunday brunch before our son's flight!

This morning after spending an unnecessary amount of time in court. My daughter and I decided to find a breakfast/brunch restaurant near the court house. I found Eat My Biscuits which I believe is black owned. Yayyy!!! First off the the outside appearance leaves you thinking if the place is open or not. There's not a lot of parking for the shared business building. But coming in you walk into a nice pink glamorous decor. With a little retro, mid century vibe going on. This was a very rainy day and cold. The restaurant wasn' busy there was a couple and one other person. We were greeted and seated immediately. The gentleman brought us glasses of water and the menu. He gave us some time to look over the menu. A very long time (・・ ) ? He finally came over, I asked for two cups of hot tea. He didn't ask if we made a menu choice or anything, he just walked away. We sat for a few minutes, then we saw to guy put on his jacket and left out the door (O.O). Ok, at this point we was confused. We figured that they didn't have any tea, so we walked next to do a store or something to buy some. So, ok we waited a little while longer he didn't come back. So you know what we did. Exit stage right. Um, the owner and managers of Eat My Biscuits I feel it would have been a delicious pleasure to eat at your beautiful restaurant. But with an already added 18% gratuity to a bill with the service or no service we got today would have been a very disappointing. Now, this review today will not stop me from coming to try things again. However, please make sure everything is in order. Because we was hongry ().

Saw this place on IG and was intrigued. Very disappointed. The place looks nice and is very modern, chic like. The service was subpar. We figured this to be the case after reading the gratuity is automatically included. We all know you don't have to be present, if you're going to get 18% automatically. Had I known this I would've never patronized this place. The food was also very subpar. We got the fried green tomatoes and they were very thinly sliced and weren't seasoned well. I was hyped for the Hennessy Wings and sadly disappointed. I remember my friend saying they smelled like the chicken at the mall food court. And I had the fish biscuit. Wasn't impressed at all.

It's so cute and the food is good! I was greeted promptly upon arrival for my reservation. There isn't any real waiting space inside the restaurant but plenty space on the front patio. Once seated, my friendly server Mahogany reviewed the menu with me. On to the food, the biscuit meals are served on small plates, heaping with the biscuit and toppings. Every meal I saw looked delicious and mine tasted great. Ambiance: It's highly Instagramable which is a good thing here. Adorable but not annoying. Parking: there is a small lot to the side and back of the building. There are like 2 street spaces right in front. I would recommend getting here within the 10am hour if you're looking for breakfast/ brunch. The Saturday crowd picked up shortly after 11ish. Definitely come out and support!

If you're in the East Point area, head straight to Eat My Biscuit at 2881 Main St Unit 100, East Point, GA 30344. This place checks all the boxes: beautiful ambiance, sweet and attentive staff, and an incredible vibe thanks to the R&B music playing throughout. I opted for the Creamy Cat, featuring crispy fried catfish over cheesy grits, covered in a rich seafood sauce with crab, shrimp, lobster, and peppers. Every bite was heavenly--perfectly balanced and full of flavor! The biscuit was soft and buttery but could use a little something extra, like apple jam or apple butter, to truly elevate it. 4.5 out of 5 stars for me! If you're in the area and love soulful eats with a great vibe, this is your spot. Tell them I sent you!

My friend and i decided to try this place after i mentioned to her i had this on my list to try for a while. It was just okay. Customer service was good. I had the catfish and grits. The dish could have used more of the sauce used for the grits because it was kind of dry. I am willing to try them again.

If you haven't been here you're missing out and doing yourself a disservice. GO! Food: delicious Ambience: cute and fun Service: pleasant I had the hot chicken biscuit and cleaned my plate. It was a perfect convo between a warm and fluffy biscuit, flavorful chicken that was crispy on the preside but juicy on the inside and the perfect balance of pickles for the perfect taste in each bite. There's free parking in back of the restaurant and on the side of the main street it's on. I went on a Sunday around 10am and it was so quiet and peaceful. We immediately got seated and fed. The crowd didn't start to come until after 11am. The prices are super reasonable with no outlandish charges and fees.

Pretty decent food and atmosphere. If you like 90s (and a little bit of 80's) R&B classics, then I must say the playlist was FIRE. That was probably my favorite part. I MIGHT have to go back when the smoked turkey neck and collard green biscuit is available, because it was all gone! It sounded good and probably is. But the catfish and grits dish was a solid backup. My partner calls it "brunch hooters," because the people on the waitstaff wear these cute little pink shorts like the person in the mural art. I see the branding vision. The drinks were pretty strong, too. I think the portions ran a little small for brunch food (especially relative to the price), but it's still not bad. It's RIGHT across the street from MARTA so it's super accessible and there are parking options galore.

OMG! I am not sure HOW this place has a 3.8. The food was phenomenal! The service was great, The owner came out and greeted us ... I don't live no where near East Point but after seeing them in The Great Food Race I had to come support and they didn't disappoint! Be the judge for yourself because I will definitely be back

I had really great experience here with me and 3 friends. The owner was there to greet us and wthe place/ ambience was really aesthetically pleasin everything was so cute. Pink walls and champagne bottles, some really nice art on the walls. The tequila sunrise I got was made w sweet tea and I think it was a hit. I also enjoyed some fried wings as an appetizer and they were fire. The main attraction was the Creamy Cat girl bowl it was perfect, delicious and worth the money! I appreciated the customer service from our waitress. I will definitely be back w the girls!

Thumbs Up Diner in East Point is on point! My friend and I were staying in the area on a business…read moretrip and had a breakfast meeting planned. My friend searched for a local restaurant with good reviews and found Thumbs Up. It was the right choice! The building is older, but the interior is nice, well kept and clean. Everything was delicious. I ordered a Build Your Own Omelette with grits (not pictured) and whole grain biscuit. Whole grain biscuit? I had never heard of such a thing. It was great, especially with the strawberry jam that accompanied it. The two other guys with me raved about their food, especially the perfectly seasoned Chicken Tenders. The grits were on point. The service was excellent and the lady who took care of us was friendly. Thumbs Up is definitely worth giving an opportunity.

It includes 1/2 portion of the Sassy scramble - which has onions, fresh herbs, salmon, and cream cheese. It was creamy and flavorable - my hubby wasn't a fan - but I loved it. It also came with a small shrimp and grits - a bit of spicy broth with shrimp and smooth grits. * Kiss my Grits - The bowl of the smoothest cheese grits with the best chopped chicken sausage I've ever had. The sauteed onions were a bit much and light fluffy scrambled eggs. *Side of potatoes - which came with green peppers and onions - I wished they were more integrated and instead of just laying on top of the potatoes. The portions were generous and I had leftovers to eat the next day.

The food is good and cooked fresh…read more The problem is they keep going up on prices. I've been living nearby for about 3 years and every time I order food from there it costs more than my last visit. My husband ordered an omelette and she told him the total was $22. Today I got a single salmon cake and a scoop of scrambled eggs with cheese for $11. I was going to add a pancake but $14 for a small breakfast when she makes up the prices as she goes AND has the prices taped off on the menu so they can't be held accountable.....is a no for me. I also don't like that when we go order from there she asks us a bunch of "add-on" questions. Like if we ask for the hungry man breakfast she asks us do we want items but included in that meal and by the time you're done ordering you've accidentally added $5 more dollars of food and you didn't even realize it. Part of the charm is that it's a local hole in the wall so I expect hole in the wall pricing. They are higher than sit down restaurants and Waffle House.
