I've been to the other Gocha's on Cascade, but today, this one on campbellton the service was A+. I will first say this is the first time a manager ever came to the table to ask, if everything okay Yolanda is wonderful. Our server Jaylyn was excellent. He told us about the specials, made sure the water was filled, came and checked on us, didn't act like it was an inconvenience when we had a question, red are order back to us to make sure he got it right. The other servers had smiles and were working to help anyway, they could. I think I will be coming back to this location. The food is always delicious, of course. The vibe is good and clean as well.

Take a seat, grab a snack, a beverage and get comfy. This will take a minute. It's best to start with entering the establishment. BACK STORY: 3 women of color dressed in very similar color could mean, high school classmates, church group, political group, etc. . My point is we were dressed in similar identifying colors and emblems. We may appear to be women of a certain age of maybe 65 years but not certain. ........We are actually, retired Military Women of Color, had just left an event which included a meet and greet lunch. So now we're meeting, ATTENTION!!! ANYONE WANTING A NICE TIP; Scan/learn your clients: "None of the 3 of us had ever gone to a restaurant where you scanned your menu." Grab another more seasoned and probably patient server because the radar of attention should be sounding, red lights flashing, and a banner sign saying "LORD, please send Patience because I think these old ladies are going to be a handful." Grade System Start: A++ 1. The hostess Zarjana, promptly guided us to our seats. 2. Once seated, Zarjana, began by welcoming us to a 5 Star experience. For me, that was "WOW" prepare to be amazed. I've been blessed to have traveled the country for 22 years while serving in the U.S. Army, and have experienced a variety of different cultures of foods and hospitalizes. Now, I'm meeting new friends, about to experience my first 5 star dining and the setting was wonderful. 3. After three failed attempts to take the orders of 3 senior women of color dressed similarly, all wearing glasses on their noses, trying to read a scanned menu on phones that work randomly, you as a server should be calling Tyrone's Auntie "Patience." But, bless her heart, she continued and began to, emphasized several times and I mean SEVERAL times to my friend who was eying the Lollipop Lamb chops, "Portion Size", which for me meant, "Ok, once you get your "Lollipop Lamb chops don't say I didn't warn you ahead of time when you can't find your spoonful of mashed potatoes. Also, other customers have probably commented about the portion sizes as well. Good looking out Zarjana, message received and appreciated. 4. Beverages arrive (me water with lemon plz). Cute plastic glasses filled to the rim spilling to the floor and the table. My sister took the napkins above the silverware holder to wipe the spilled water from the table, and I took the other napkin to wipe the water I spilled moving my glass to my side of the table. My sister grabbed napkins from the table next to us to continue the cleanup of spilled water. NOTE: OK, NO MORE NAPKNS, AND THE SILVERWARE SETUP INNTHE HOLDER IS: 1 napkin and two forks. GRADE SYSTEM SCALE SHAKING B+ 5. Meal arrives; Zarjana is asked to please provide a knife for the meat, a spoon for the grits and napkins. I spent 20 years teaching Equal Opportunity on active duty so, I studied "Body Language, " and her body language turned to Total Frustration. The Grading scale is now at a C. We explained, we cleaned the water that spilled in the overflowing glasses and because, there wasn't another setup, and we didn't want to call her back to clean Her mess as a server, so we took napkins from the table next to us. I mean again, we were still the only customers. She pranced away, grabbed napkins, a spoon and knife. NOTE; Yes, we explained ourselves and no, I don't know why. But anyway because the establishment was empty, we watched her and her peers rearrange the light fixtures over the bar, mingle with one another and never once did she come check in see if we needed anything. So, now we're searching for the 5 stars, but only see the reflection of passing stars. Oops, sorry that was the reflection of passing cars. WHAT DOES FIVE STAR FOOD LOOK LIKE : Hidden potatoes as warned so no surprise. You just need the proper utensils for your meal. You would think a better selection of cutting utensils for lamb chops might be a steak knife, paring knife or butcher knife. Not a Butter knife. The order was shrimp and grits. Now when your grits are leaving a trail from the kitchen to your table, send a spoon. you need a spoon. I don't return food. Either it not eaten or I eat what I can tolerate. So, my calamari was an appetizer of puffed something crunchy mixed with air. I realized it was batter once I dipped it in the sauce. Maybe three pieces of actual calamari was consumed. Thankfully, the green tomatoes were pretty good. My sister unfortunately was struggling with her lamb chop because she was given a shiny dull butter knife. And no napkins in reach. We asked another server to please have our server come to our table. A new server came out and we asked for a steak knife, spoon and napkins. Ok, enough. It doesn't get better. MY MESSAGE: Zarjana, was asked by me, Are you alri After several attempts to take our order, (Prior to arriving, the 3 of us met at a, "Meet & Greet" so we were now getting to know one another and had no idea we

Came to enjoy a quick bite to eat at my neighborhood Gocha's. The shrimp and crab dip is my all time favorite, it's cheesy, loaded with both shrimp and crab in every bite and it's flavorful. The toasted bread pieces they provide with the dip pair so well, they're warm and they have this garlic buttery taste - a must try! The fried green tomatoes are also a huge hit! Our server was Mimi, who was so sweet and provided us with outstanding service. From checking in on us regularly and always greeting us with such a warm smile, she really gave amazing customer service. Soft sounds of R&B are playing in the background which definitely helps set the scene but not too loud to where you can't enjoy your groups conversation. And the best part of it all, it's black owned! Definitely give this restaurant a try if ever in the area.

This was my first time at Gocba's Tapas! I'm familiar with the Breakfast Bar. I can honestly say, I'm never disappointed!! This time we had the fried green tomatoes, which are my fav!!! The salmon bites were true blend of sweet and savory! The lamb chops with mashed and spinach! Delicious!!!! Our waitress Addae checked in with us regularly. Our food came out hot! It was such a nice vibe! They have ample seating, inside or out. This time I didn't get a chance to order a cocktail, but we did have this refreshing strawberry lemonade that was perfect with our meals! This has become one of my go to spots when visiting Atlanta!

Still amazing food, service and ambiance. I dropped in today because it was practically impossible to drive anywhere above I-20 today so I stuck to my side of town for brunch. I had just finished a race and was famished! I ordered the seafood omelette and chose a croissant and grits to accompany my dish. They give you an option to upgrade to add the seafood sauce to the omelette. I honestly think this would be good to just have as part of the dish but whatever. It was very good and my espresso martini was perfection.

Service was great! Tabitha was a great host, atmosphere was great as well. We went last minute for Mother's Day, with no reservation, food, wait time was still short.

Love this place. Great music, great staff, great vibes. The menu is extensive, the prices are more than fair and portions are perfect and the food is fantastic. Shout out to our servers Eric and Mimi for really making our day. I ordered the Salman Breakfast Croissant with a side of sweet potato fries and it was an amazing choice. There truly was nothing left on my plate. My partner ordered the fish and grits and what a show stopper! The grits were truly the star and the fish paired perfectly! Also, Love the fact they had a live DJ keeping the crowd swaying to some great tunes. This is definitely the go-to Sunday brunch spot. We will be back.

A friend of mine was celebrating his birthday and chose to have brunch at Gocha's. As a dedicated Yelper, I naturally started browsing photos and reviews ahead of time--it's just what I do. I'm a big foodie and a fan of anything with a touch of sophistication, and this place definitely delivered. I was genuinely impressed by the variety on the menu, the beautiful decor, and most importantly, the flavor of the food. Everything felt like it was done with care and intention. Easily an A+ experience. As someone raised in Atlanta, I've been to plenty of brunch spots around the city, but I often find that many miss the mark when it comes to atmosphere and presentation. Gocha's really stood out. It had a polished, elevated vibe, and our server, Tabitha, was incredibly kind and attentive. I snapped a few photos of the dishes at our table. Everyone ordered something different, and not only was the food delicious, but it was also plated beautifully. You can tell the owner has a great eye for detail--and that makes all the difference.

Me and my boyfriend had a cute little date night at Gocha's! We've been wanting to go and it's so close to home. The ambiance is a 10/10 especially with the Christmas decor. We had a Hennessy margarita and a prickly pear margarita. The Hennessy margarita was pretty good but I'd rate the prickly pear a 7/10. 1800 is used, you can taste the 1800 and for the price - I think a more pricey tequila should be used. The tapas are smaller than we've had at other tapa bars. The wings were spicyyyy. The salmon bites were okay and we had 2 orders of the crab & shrimp dip which was pretty good. We would defined come back. Our waitress was very attentive and I think we came before the late night rush. So nice to have a nice dinner with no hookah smoke.

One day I decided to try this place out. I love the outside patio area that they have. The inside was pretty cute as well. I ordered online for a pick up. Next time I'll do a dine in as well. I ordered a lobster roll and some wings. I love spicy foods so you know I had to test the hot wings out. They were both a hit!! Now, the lobster roll was a pretty small serving. Flavorful but a small portion. The wings are great, I do wish they were fried a little longer. Other than that I loved my options. The young lady at the door was very sweet and welcoming.

Yesterday (Sunday) at 2:45 PM, I sat at the bar and waited about 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged me. A couple next to me mentioned they had already been waiting 18 minutes just to receive their check, which immediately raised concern about the service. After trying to get the server's attention, she finally approached--but without greeting or acknowledgment. When I asked if I could place my order, she responded, "Wait a minute," and walked away. It took another 9 minutes before she returned to take my order. When I did order, I clearly stated that I have an onion intolerance and requested no onions. She repeated the order back correctly, yet my sandwich still came out with onions on it. I had to remove them myself. At that point, I was ready to leave. I asked for a to-go box and my check, and it took an additional 21 minutes for her to return. This was, unfortunately, a very poor experience--especially considering that others at the bar were also voicing similar frustrations about the service. I've had good experiences at Gochas before, which is why it's disappointing to leave this review, but this visit did not reflect the standard I've come to expect.... Gochas herself takes pride in customer service- the food is always on point. Always.,... This was the bar server... I've never experienced service like this ever. I told her I would be leaving a review as well - she then apologizes stating that their system is down. Baby that has nothing to do with your unprofessional attitude and engagement w/ customers.

Yum YUMMYY! I really…read moredon't know where to start but I absolutely love Buena Vida! I guess thats a great place :) location, Location, LOCATION! I admire that area of Buena Vida. All the entertainment is right there in front of you. You're just steps away from the belt line. If you like to people watch, this is for you! They have outdoor seating. A fire pit. Local spots that has live music and you can tend to hear from the patio. This is by far one of my favorite spots in the Ponce area. Let's start with the service. The service is absolutely amazing. I've never had an issue here. Got my food promptly. Always been helpful when conflicted on food options. The service here is 10 out of 10. Phemonenal customer Service, make you feel welcome. Feels like a small community of people, everyone I encoutered were super sweet from servers to bartenders. Treated me like family and I love establishments like that you can get my money ANY day! I'd like to highlight someone special: Alyssa is truly exceptional. She served as my bartender on my latest visit, and I can't say enough good things about her. I look forward to coming in whenever she's working. She's genuine, fun, and her positive energy is a gem. Turning to the cuisine, I have visited the establishment before, and the food is truly exceptional. Two standout appetizers are the Gambas al Ajillo and the garlic-forward, succulent shrimp; the accompanying bread is full of flavor and serves as an excellent introduction to the meal. The Patatas Bravas also deserve special mention--the garlic aioli, chef kiss. As a pescatarian, which is evident in many of my reviews, I cannot comment on the meat options. Nevertheless, there is a noteworthy selection of vegan and gluten-free dishes available. I sampled the Spanish grilled cheese with truffle and garlic aioli--being a fan of garlic, the generous use here was particularly appealing. This reinterpretation of a childhood favorite significantly elevated the dish. Another highlight was the scallops. Although the dish included corn (which I generally avoid), I found it delicious, nonetheless. The scallops were cooked to perfection and infused with rich flavors. The chef demonstrates considerable expertise in crafting these recipes, and I have no complaints regarding my dining experience. Now, a few of my favorite drinks--though everyone might not share the same tastes. When I visit a Spanish-style restaurant, I have my go-to options. One of my favorites is the passionfruit margarita; it's so delicious, it feels like you're on an island. Of course, my all-time favorite is the strawberry margarita--so good and flavorful. It has just the right balance of not too much lime, with a subtle hint of mint--who knew we needed that? Another top pick is the 'Dragon on Vacation.' I usually avoid spicy drinks, so I had the habanero removed, but it's still the perfect blend of dragon fruit flavor in a margarita--so good. I also love a good Paloma; I appreciate its little kick. Overall, I have no complaints about these drinks!

It's always a good time when we meet up with my friends cause the conversation and fellowship is always so sweet, however this time I'd say it was somewhat interrupted. The live music/saxophonist is nice however, it's overbearing. There's a soundtrack playing in the background in addition to the saxophonist and honestly it's just too much. There was always someone yelling over another and we had to continuously ask someone to repeat themselves. They do half off bottles of wine on Wednesdays and that might've been the one thing I enjoyed. As for the food, it was also subpar. I ordered the CRISPY PIMENTON CHICKEN which was essentially a fried chicken with hot honey sauce and that was enjoyable. The caprese salad was good but my tomato's were a bit mushy. I also enjoyed a few of the potatoes brava as well but they weren't anything spectacular. My friends said the steak tasted burnt and needed less charring. The atmosphere of the restaurant is cute as there is indoor and outdoor seating but honestly, I'm not that eager to go back.

It was a little loud, but we could still hear each other comfortably. We started with the sangria flight -- fruity and delicious. Our first appetizer was the papas bravas, crispy with just the right amount of spice. We also had the beef empanadas with chimichurri sauce, which were excellent. Next were the steak skewers, seasoned to perfection (though I do wish they offered a choice of cooking temperature). The octopus was my favorite -- char-grilled, tender, and full of flavor. We also tried the mac and cheese. It came out a little loose at first, but after sitting for a bit, it had a nice bite, especially with the chorizo. We finished with the shrimp in garlic butter and crostinis -- flavorful, garlicky, and one of our favorites of the night. Overall, this is one of the best tapas spots we've had in or around Atlanta. It's definitely our new favorite -- even over some of the local favorites in Decatur.

I like the idea of shareable tapas because you aren't tied down to one gigantic dish that you take half of home. Getting to try multiple dishes for reasonable prices was cool to me We had the mussels, shrimp fondue, and beef empanada. I really liked all three of them. We also ordered extra bread for the fondue which was a good call for only 1 extra dollar. I also got the Eclipse margarita and let me say it was amazing. Suuper strong but I couldn't even tell until I started feeling the effects of it, lol. Did not have a bitter taste whatsoever. How they pulled that off, I don't know but I was truly impressed and will be ordering it again. Service was eh, our waited was nice and we were sat immediately but also my water ran out for a while and he didn't check on us that much. I normally would deduct a star for that but they earned it back with the incredible drink, haha. I really liked the ambiance in here. Great for a date. Parking was easy. Food and drink came out fairly quickly. I will definitely be back.

I'd recommend making a reservation for a table as it can get crowded. The food is spectacular and reasonably priced. You can't go wrong with any dish. Also the drinks are delicious. I got the cucumber mezcalita and I can't wait to go back and get that again! It's tasty and refreshing.

Fives across the board…read more Casi Cielo is incredible. The space is warm and beautiful without trying too hard, and the crowd was hip and well dressed. Definitely a place to be seen and eat well. There's a parking garage but it was full when we got there, so we did valet, which was surprisingly affordable. Service was wonderful. Our server was attentive, helpful, and super knowledgeable about the menu. As for the food, we got: Aguachile de Pescado, which was insane. Super fresh, bright, citrusy, ceviche-like with perfect texture. I would go back just for that. The Hamachi was clean and bright. That avocado sauce tied everything together and gave it some depth without overpowering the fish. The Pork Belly Tostadas were crispy and rich with that smooth avocado mousse and sweet mango salsa balancing it out perfectly. Finally, the bone marrow with steak... so good. I had seen pictures of it before I came and it did not disappoint. The steak was incredibly tender. They bring blue corn tortillas and suggest making a taco with the marrow, steak, and avocado. It's great that way. But honestly, the marrow and steak stand perfectly on their own. Whole experience was excellent. Easily one of my favorite spots in the city now.

Wanted to love it…read more The vibes are there, the staff is genuinely lovely, and there's real potential here, we just had a bit of an adventure getting through the meal. We had someone in our party with a gluten allergy, and our sweet server was doing his absolute best, bless. We were steered away from the tostadas as a starter due to gluten concerns, so we pivoted to guac...which then arrived with a gluten-free tostada. So the tostadas would have been totally fine! Then a good while after we'd all ordered, she was told her entrée had gluten and needed to be changed. She reordered, and almost immediately, the rest of the table's food came out. So we were left choosing between eating without her or letting everything go cold. And the plantains she'd reordered around, because she'd been told they couldn't be made gluten-free? Turns out they absolutely can be. Just miss after miss there. The spicy margarita was more of a margarita that once passed a jalapeño on the street. I asked for extra jalapeño juice and they were happy to help, but without the seeds and ribs it just couldn't deliver on the heat. I'd skip the margs next visit. This just wasn't quite the relaxed easy dinner we'd hoped for, and the price point feels like it's a step ahead of where the experience currently lands. But I'm rooting for them to get there!

When we arrived the restaurant was packed, so we definitely felt fortunate to have snagged a last-minute table. This is a high-end Spanish tapas-style restaurant and the service really elevated the experience. Our waiter and the sommelier were both extremely attentive and made excellent recommendations, including a bottle of wine that paired perfectly with our meal. We started with a charcuterie board with two cheeses and a chili salami. It came with bread, pickles, sun-dried tomatoes, a couple mustards, and an amazing truffle honey. It was the perfect way to start the meal. Our waiter helped pace the rest of the evening by guiding the order of the plates. We were told to order about two to three plates per person, which ended up being the perfect amount of food. If we had to rank our favorites, they would be: 1. Pork Cheek Tacos 2. Bistec 3. Cordero 4. Broccolini 5. Gambas al Ajillo 6. Peppadew Peppers 7. Piquillos Rellenos Honestly, everything was so good that it was hard to rank them. We were celebrating a birthday, and the staff went out of their way to make it special. They brought out a complimentary dish of wrapped dates and gelatos for dessert, which was such a thoughtful touch. Between the incredible food, attentive service, and warm atmosphere, this was a wonderful place to celebrate a milestone. Highly recommend.
