Chicken pad kee mao
Talesha C.

I came here around 7pm on a Tuesday night and it was packed. It was hard to find parking though there was a sign that said there was public parking not too far away but it was dark and I wasn't going to walk by myself in this area. I ended up doing a to-go order because the only spot I found was in the 15 min pick-up parking area. It took exactly 15 mins for them to provide my order which was quick and when I got home it was hot. The chicken pad kee mao was excellent. The hot level was great and definitely spicy. It was a lot of food. I was only able to get through half of it and saved the rest for lunch the next day. The noodles were cooked perfectly and the peppers still had just enough crunch. The potstickers with the sauce were perfect. Some of the best potstickers I've ever had. You have to try this place. Maybe next time I'll be able to find a parking spot and stay for awhile.

This restaurant is so modern with lots of outdoor seating as well as a lawn area for lounging. They have immaculate vibes and a beautiful where you can get drinks. Their servers are also so sweet and attentive. But unfortunately their Thai food was not authentic or tasty. I ordered pad Thai and pad kee mao. The pad Thai was mediocre and just overwhelmed with a sweet flavor but the tofu was cooked well. The pad see ew was my least favorite - the noodles were hard and the sauce was once again sweet while this dish is mostly savory. I saw the high ratings for this spot but perhaps it's for the drinks and other dishes - I would recommend trying something else out on their menu

Fast forward a few years since I was the first to review this spot and they are going strong, with a great bar and a great food game. The service here is always good! The atmosphere is quite honestly one of the best in town! I most often have the Panang Curry with ground chicken as my meat. It is really good! The other dishes don't miss either. I would say that their Pad Thai is one of the best in all of Atlanta. Their cheesy rolls are so good! They make an array of fancy cocktails that are well made! This place can be a little bit pricey but I believe it's worth the expense if you can afford it. The rices are good, the curries are good, and really you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I would come here more often if I could. I love seeing a good restaurant like this take flight in Hapeville and I hope we can get a few more like it. Note: Parking can be a bit difficult sometimes when it gets busy so just be aware you may have to park down the street occasionally! Come on down for a visit if you are craving Thai! It's some of the best that Atlanta has to offer! With friendly staff and great food and drinks, it's the perfect spot!

Service: quick and attentive, I was greeted and brought to my seat within 2 minutes of entering Food: ordered the salmon salad I asked for sauce on the side they probably forgot to do so. The food was about a 3.5-4 the dressing was a little too sweet for me but the salmon was cooked perfectly Parking: you can park at the side and enter from the back, however just know you'd have to check in the front to be seated I was on a work trip but if I'm looking for something quick and decent I'd stop here again because it's somewhat close to the airport

Ambiance and service was 10/10 but food was just ok. They have a nice cocktail and cellar selection.

Basil fried rice with crab meat with medium heat

This place is beautiful ...the decor and outside is so eloquently put together. I love the outside. The girl who services us was good. This was Sunday afternoon after church. Now to the food. We all ordered the basil fried rice. I ordered mine with crab meat . They didn't put enough crab meat. I had to pay an extra $12. The rice was good but be careful cause I ordered medium heat and that medium heat was a bit spicy. Overall, I liked the place. I will return.

I like this place. Arrive around 2pm with my guest (Mom) for lunch. Considered to be a neighborhood fav. Tony was our server. She was direct but friendly and essentially warmed up to us more overtime. Especially AFTER my Mom dropped the infamous crab fried rice ALL over the floor...soooo sorry Tony. She handled that well. The food was everything, clean. Clean ingredients, hot, fresh. We had the following all requested to arrive at the same time: 1. "Egg" rolls - cabbage filled only but a beautiful and delicate pastry shell. Probably one of the most unique and versatile apps, I've had Asian style in a minute. 2. Crab Fried rice - honestly the star. Fresh and real pieces of crab with peas and carrots chunks similar to that of a traditional fried rice. This was my Moms' dish and as a seafood cook and connoisseur she appreciated the fresh cucumber garnish and the spice to accompany (go hot here). 3. Pad Thai (shrimp added) - I had the pad Thai and it was delicious. The shrimp plump fresh abundant, the sauce not too sweet and the heat, again spicy but not too much. The only thing I would advise here is that the pad Thai is swimming in a bit of sauce and scrambled egg. IF you took this to go, and for those folks who love pad thai like me would enjoy the extra sauce the next day ensuring the dish is not dry. Me on the other hand would have preferred a less liquid approach. But overall, I would still order again will moderate accommodations to the egg thingy and maybe even the sauce. 3. The side of veggies is at best a mixed blend of random veggies that felt maybe mid and maybe even a blend of microwaved options. We shared this one but it was because as my Mother and your Mother might always say..."eat your veggies" lol. This would be a PASS for us again I think.

I pulled up and first reaction was free parking lot next door to the restaurant. The atmosphere was fresh open lingering with spices in the air!! I knew I was in for tasty food!! Everything was great and you get more than enough food to take home. I will definitely be back when I'm in the Hapeville area.

Food and service was amazing. I always enjoy coming here. Flavorful and delicious without having to go into the city of Atlanta. The atmosphere is a bit noisy but it's a good energy space.

Green curry

Came here around 9pm on a Saturday and was seated immediately. They had live music and our waitress came over to give us the full menu spill, which I loved. We started with the spring rolls for appetizers. It was decent (just cabbage, no other veggies). For drinks we ordered a margarita and hibiscus French 75 - both tastes good and fresh. For entrees, I got the green curry with extra veggies. It was tasty and had a nice kick to it in terms of spice. My friend's fried rice had a LOT of onions that he eventually started picking it out cause it was a lot for every fork full. Overall, it was pretty good and I'd come back again.

Kids Pad Thai

I ordered from here because I had a taste for Thai and I know they never disappoint. I got the kids pad Thai and the serving was definitely for an adult. The pot stickers were awesome and the Thai wings are always banging!

Some of the best Thai we have ever had. The building is newly renovated and has great outdoor and indoor seating options! Dishes were reasonably priced with the option for adjusting the spice level on all. Our waitress was very attentive and welcoming. We will for sure be coming back!

Stopped here for drinks while waiting on a friend to arrive at the airport. Such a cute little spot we stumbled upon! The drinks were great, and the service was even greater! Definitely would recommend to anyone in the area.

The restaurant is located in one of the many adjacent smaller shopping plazas next to Southlake Mall. My impression was that Southlake, like malls in general, went into decline and the surrounding shops followed suit. However, a lot of them seem to have been re-purposed for other businesses. There seems to be a mix of businesses and restaurants in the area now. I'm not sure how long Mama Sida's has been there. There was plenty of parking in the shared lot. We ate here on a Thursday at around 6 p.m. I'm sure this isn't their busiest night of the week. They seemed about to run at about 1/3 of dine-in capacity with a steady stream of take-out orders. They owner came out at one point and greeted a couple of people at different tables who she apparently knew, so it looks like the place has a loyal following. They had a fairly extensive menu (including lunch options as well). I did notice that, while the menu lists beer & wine, they added a post it note stating that they do not currently serve this. We both opted for vegetable dishes - mine was a curry and tofu offering. I went for 'hot' and they delivered. It was good and I had enough left over for another meal. My wife liked her dish also (basil / tofu). Prices were reasonable. When you are finished, you go pay at the register rather than getting a bill at your table. If I lived in the area, I'd likely return here.

This is not fast food, you will wait a little while even 15-20 mins for takeout, but it's worth it. My favorite spot on the Southside. I first discovered this restaurant while in Real Estate school at Barney Fletcher. Most evenings we tried to hurry and find close dinner options. The portions are large and the prices are reasonable. It can add up to over $40 if you're greedy ordering several items like an appetizer + entree + dessert. I've eaten on my leftovers maybe 2-3X. No exaggeration! The best dish I've had is Naam Khao (crispy rice w/ fermented pork bits, fresh veggies and wrapped in lettuce) and Laos spring rolls (crunchy) . Thai tea overly sweet so it's best when watered down from the ice. Mango sticky rice is a purple color and yummy as well. Unique earthy taste, but still sweet and on par. I didn't care for the papaya salad it tasted like dead sea animals then I noticed a lil crab in it so that explained why I tasted fish/crustacean. Maybe they also added fish sauce? I don't use those flavors in my dishes so the flavor profile was new for me. No hate just my experience I would still recommend you give them a try.
