I got the vegan mermaid sandwich today for the first time that has fried vegan shrimp and coleslaw in a pretzel bun. I added a side of sweet potato fries. They also gave a side of pickles. It was fun. I think I've only tried the big bird sandwich before and typically get their pastas. As usual, no issues with service. I also love that he asked me if I wanted a vegan menu or traditional menu by listing vegan menu first. I was the first to arrive on this lunch wave so couldn't hear everyone else but heard one other older couple ask for vegan menus. It made me happy. It's been a good thirty plus years since I've dined here. At that time, the restaurant name was The Front Room, one of three locations in the City with one on California Street and the other on Clement Street. Our local PBS TV station featured this neighborhood restaurant as one of three restaurants chosen by one diner for two of other diners to try and comment on their experiences. When our hostess/waitress came to take our order, we both asked about the Friday and Saturday prime rib meal, seeing this on the above-mentioned show. There is a dining section in an elevated area to the left of the entrance that can accommodate larger parties of up to 12 to 14. They have an additional dining area upstairs for larger parties. I've been passing by this restaurant my entire life and have wondered why I never visited. TLDR: the food is yummy, the price is very very affordable and reasonable, and the service is amazing. We came here on President's Day and there was no waiting and the service was impeccable! Our server was amazing and offered the elderly at the table hot water without any prompts. they also gave us an extra plate which was outstanding. Garlic Bread: we did not order this but if it's on the menu, we definitely should've! It was so delicious! Garlicky, buttery, and crunchy in all the right places. Ravioli: absolutely delicious. The filling was delicious and the white sauce (we changed it from red sauce)was yummy. Definitely home made sauce and not jarred. I haven't had a good white sauce like that in a while. Tortellini (red sauce): the red sauce is delicious! It's a show stopper (almost). Linguini: Plate was FILLED to the brim! It was yummy. Noodles were cooked perfectly and the sauce was yummy too. The sister (owner) and brother who run Cybelle's are wonderful, personable, efficient, kind, and fun. Their vegan menu is fantastic especially their vegan wings and messy sandwich. They have delicious beignets that can have cookie butter and/or chocolate dip. Sometimes they have homemade sangria that isn't too sweet and seasonal desserts. They also will do special events from time to time where you are able to reserve a spot or the restaurant. They have a regular menu too where you can get vegetarian and meat pizzas, pastas, and more. Ordered the Vegan Golden Dragon Pizza last night for delivery from CyBelle's Front Room -- COWABUNGA! Menu description: "Vegan golden Dragon Pizza: Smokey, Ranchy, a Bestseller Vegan BBQ Sauce, housemade cashew smoked gouda, soy chicken, garlic potato wedges, green onion, House Vegan Ranch *Can be made Gluten Free using Gluten Free crust" Current standard costs: 6" for $18.50, 12" for $32, 14" for $34, 16" for $39 and 18" for $43. Additional toppings ranging from faux meats to lots of veggies are available if you want to max out your slice weight and get in some heavy lifting ;-) After some internal debate whether to add toppings for my first try of this famed pizza or go with the pure Golden, I decided to go for added jalapeño and pineapple, inspired by the ravings of fellow Yelper, Victoria H., who wrote "The golden dragon is one of my absolute favorites and I always add jalapeño and pineapple." Cybelle's direct delivery was included (and possible) once you spend $25 and live within a 3-mile radius -- and tipping your delivery driver is encouraged from 15%, 18% to 20% or other, when placing your order. You are also welcome to pick up your order in person :-) Pick-ups need to be called in, and you are also welcome to call in for your delivery order, per their website blurb: "ALL PICKUP ORDERS must be placed by calling us at 415-665-8088. Delivery orders may also be placed by calling us. Ordering on our website and through our app is for Delivery only, up to a specific 3-mile radius from our location in San Francisco. Thank you!" Other delivery options that I can see, with the pizzas costing more (6" costs $21.79 rather than the $18.50 on CyBelle's linked service through Qooway) + extra service fees, but of course: * GrubHub * Uber Eats * Caviar -- Strangely listed here as Closed / Unavailable even when they are actually open. * DoorDash -- They are listed 2x, one without an apostrophe and no DashPass (this one works), and one with an apostrophe, actual CyBelle logo and added DashPass (this is also listed as closed even when they are open). I've been looking for a place to eat with a vast vegan menu and I found it! Food service amazing! I called to pick up. They accommodated me and my food was ready when I got in. I got the VEGAN TRIATHLON. The garlic were soooo good. My husband who isn't vegan at all, kept eating them. The crust of the pizza was fresh. The vegan cheese had pull (melted well)! The first wait person didn't respond when I ordered a, "Giant Root Beer." The second informed me that they had no root beer, but they did have orange soda. So that's what I ordered. My wife got iced tea. I ordered a sausage burger with pastrami, my wife got the blue cheese burger with garlic potato wedges. The wait person came back and said, "no pastrami." She brought my wife her iced tea and she brought me a coke. I waited at least five minutes before I could tell her that I ordered an orange soda, another five minutes before she brought the correct order. She never asked me what I wanted for my side dish, what kind of potatoes or fruit salad, she assumed potato wedges. Food finally arrived and both were made on hard rolls. The wedges didn't taste at all like garlic, not even a little bit. They were all hard and crusty. My wife's burger barely tasted like blue cheese, kind of like they spread blue cheese dressing on only one side of the bread roll. Mine was supposed to have mayonnaise and marinara sauce, but neither were really there. I ordered a side of mayonnaise and it took forever to get that! The wait person was thoroughly without a personality and not very helpful or pleasant. Now comes the bill... they charged us $7.00 for the pastrami that I didn't get and they had to fix that. We usually tip rather well (in the 20-25% range), for the very first time we actually didn't leave a tip at all. Too many things were either missing or just wrong. CyBelle's Front Room on 1385 9th Avenue needs to address an employee named Maria. She's rude, obnoxious, and unfit for working with the public. Despite the five-star food, the customer service is a major issue. I recently ordered two pizzas around noon this afternoon. I live just ten minutes away and received a notification on my iPhone that the order was ready. When we arrived at the restaurant, Maria informed us that the order wasn't ready. We explained that the app clearly stated otherwise, and she rudely responded, "That's not how I work. I don't care about the app." Instead of addressing the issue with the customer, she made it about herself. First and foremost, why would you have a DoorDash ordering service on your website for pickup and delivery orders when you could have one of your own? Secondly, I don't care how you work; I'm simply telling you what the app said. We had to wait five minutes for the staff to finish preparing our order. My best friend (who is vegan) and I came here for Sunday brunch. We drove 45 minutes from the southern part of the peninsula to try it and she was really looking forward to it. When we sat, we were the only two people in the restaurant. But our food took 40 minutes to come out! I'm shocked at the amount of time it took. CyBelle's, however you pronounce it, has the best vegan pizza in San Francisco. I don't know whether its their own recipe or a product they found, but the vegan cheese is way above what fake cheeses normally provide. They also make their own vegan pepperoni, and they also offer a vegan cashew pesto sauce which is delicious. We usually get half pepperoni & half Chicken-On-The-Green, made with vegan chicken, natch. They apparently have a bunch of other vegan items like sandwiches, mac n "cheese", etc; but I am still so thrilled to have a proper pizza again after so many years that that's all I order. It's not 100% vegan, don't worry meat-heads. I'm sure their non-vegan food is as top notch as their vegan options. You can tell that they take pride in their food. Please check them out, and be aware that the restaurant is usually not so crowded that you can't get a table any night, though I hope that changes because I want CyBelles to be around at least until I die. read more

I have been waiting to come here, specifically for their triathlon pizza! We came here with a group 6 on a Thursday night and got seated immediately, with good service all around. This is a good spot for groups of vegans / omnivores - everyone was happy! They have a large selection of both! It feels good to go to a restaurant that offers more than a couple vegan options. If you want pizza, pasta and or dessert this is the spot! I will say, I was very excited about the triathlon pizza and unfortunately they didn't really nail the mac'n cheese.
