The bread was one of my favorite parts -- light, soft, and not overly heavy like some sandwich spots. It almost had the texture of a flatbread, which made the whole sandwich feel balanced instead of heavy/overwhelming. Definitely a spot I'd come back to! This is a cute little sandwich shop on Cole street. Walking by and the red color and signs dragged me in. It's in the Cole Valley neighborhood. So they have really too many sandwiches. The wall of recipes shows more than 50 sandwiches closer to 60 . One not that much different than the next. So I ordered a Ike who which is close to the San Francisco one. They are all interesting. The sandwich makers are very sweet and helpful. They offer drinks an a whole ton of chips which I never do. A very cute place with beautiful red decorations. They offer more choices of bread than I've ever seen in life so I chose the dark rye my favorite but never seen it in a shop . Was a decent juicy satisfying sandwich. The only drawback is they heated the sandwich whereas I prefer cold sandwiches. Regardless, I should have mentioned something when I ordered. A friend and I were walking by going to another sandwich spot when we seen Bite me. We thought let's try something we haven't. So we looked at their menu posted on the window and I was like okay this sounds good. They have so many options on the menu. When you go inside they also have hand written choices under the menu as well. The guy working immediately said what can I get you. I ordered paid and had the sandwich in less than 3 minutes. SO FAST! We took the sandwiches and headed to conservatory of flowers and enjoyed them. The bread is delicious, I got the sweet roll and it's the perfect texture. Checked this out after passing it so many times over the years. Inside isn't anything fancy but has some tables to eat at. It wasn't too busy and ordered right away. Lots of options for sandwiches. Pretty good sandwiches tho. Bread was good and nicely toasted but still soft on the inside. Filling of both sandwiches was plentiful and everything was fresh. Came here to grab some sandwiches before heading to Golden Gate Park with some friends. The sandwiches are substantial and they offer a lot of variation. My friend got the Danny Zuko with all toppings and really liked it. Another friend got a simple turkey and cheese sandwich with toppings - proving you don't have to choose some of their crazy sandwich options to be satisfied. I got "Whichever Brian Wilson" which combines cranberry sauce and sriracha for an interesting flavor palate. Overall quick check out experience with chips and drinks you can add to your order. Nicely located in the Haight, it's a great place for fresh and delicious bites that can be an easy grab-and-go. I've heard it gets busy, but luckily my friend and I were able to go on a slow Sunday afternoon for lunch. There's so many options to choose from on their menu, I enjoyed reading them especially with the cute names they have for their sandwiches. I ended up creating my own sandwich, with Salami as my protein and adding Pesto in addition to all the ingredients that come with the sandwich. You can tell they thoroughly prepare their sandwiches to make sure it comes out consistent and good, I was very impressed and enjoyed my sandwich! There are tables to sit at if you decide to dine-in, and they have many snacks and drinks to choose from to purchase with your sandwich. I don't like to make bad reviews but I feel like I had to write this one. I created my own sandwich and I asked for extra onions. When they gave me my sandwich, it felt pretty light. I ordered it with bacon (they charge extra), it had an almost funny small amount. I ordered it with cheese, which I never tasted and they had forgotten about the onions. I ordered to go and I ate it on my way to the bus stop. When I realized my sandwich was missing the onions, I walked back to get them. They added 2 fine slices to it, fine fine slices. Nice corner sandwich shop in Haight-Ashbury. The sandwiches are decently hefty. I really enjoyed my sandwich and I liked the options for sandwiches here. The shop is bright. There is not a ton of seating. I think most people take their sandwiches to-go from here. The service was okay. But the wait to receive my food was so long when I came here. The store looked almost empty with only one customer eating there but they had a ton of take away orders or delivery orders. I feel like delivery or takeaway might be the way to go here. I was so hungry. Also contributing to the wait times was probably that they had two/three new staff on that day that they were training. read more

Stopped here w my family after a recommendation post bike ride. The service was friendly and fast. I decided on the Bluto on a Dutch Crunch Roll. Being from the Midwest, I was not familiar with this type of bread. I loved it! I thought my sandwich was literally the best sandwich I've ever had in my life. It was fresh, filling, and fantastic. Normally, I would not like to eat as much as I did, but that sandwich made me pack on a couple pounds that day! It was such a great experience for the five of us and we would like to thank them.
