I absolutely love this Pharmacy!! Eric, one of the Pharmacists there always greets me with a big "Hello" and asks how I'm doing. However, all the Pharmacists there are extremely professional and friendly. The Technicians (David and OMG, and can't remember all their names right now) are always friendly and have smiles for me. They make me feel like I'm coming into a small, hometown Pharmacy. I'm not sure how they all remember my name but it sure adds to the experience for me. Last night I waited in line in the drive thru for 45 minutes and there were only 2 people ahead of me. No apology, no explanation, nothing except the typical attitude I get at this location. Oh, and did I mention that they did not have 4 of my medications? They neglected to tell me this when they sent me my ready notification. So, I wait forever and get 1/3rd of what I need. Aweful. I live nearby and shop there maybe once or twice a month. Our neighborhood is being gentrified so they have lots of crap yuppies and hipsters like, but they have good stuff like Valentina and Takis too. Great selection of food and make-up and whatever, but no dairy-free Ben & Jerry's :( also, Lorenzo's the best!!! Horrible customer care. First time I had transferred my medication here I had to clear up the differences with my medications with the tech because she did not know differences in medications. Rude, lied. Had my doctor waste his time and call in and fax the same information multiple times. Customer care tech says things like "I'm not going back and forth." Hoping you aren't aware of laws and protocol. I had to get an actual pharmacist on the phone and ask him what the issue was. He then too lied in alignment with the pharmacist tech hoping a person was ignorant so they can believe anything they say. Wasted both mine and my doctors time throughout the whole day. I am filing multiple complaints against this CVS because ive never had to deal with such unprofessional behavior in my life and these people need to be taking care of patients with serious health issues. Visited this Cvs a couple of times and it was extremely messy and ghetto, recently visited and it seems to be in much better condition. Although the area is not that great and there are a lot of homeless people. The staff is friendlier than expected and the manager is very helpful. Its rare when im in Long Beach but when I visited I had no problems. It looks alot cleaner and organized its much speedier, I will admit alot of Cvs lines take forever because of the weird line system, but it wasnt too bad. Probably will go here again if I need to! read more

The people who work here are EXTREMELY nice but it is ALWAYS a cluster F to pick up a prescription!!!! I've had to go back repeatedly to my Dr. to renew a prescriptions that haven't run out but their system has it listed as expired. The wait time for basics is ALWAYS ridiculous. Sadly, this is the closest pharmacy my insurance provides. read more

This review is specifically for the Photo Lab and the manager (don't remember his name but he said he usually is the closing manager). I've printed photos from here before and they always come out great! Exactly the way you edit on the website is the way you will receive them. In once case I printed a photo book, for whatever reason the order was never sent to their system. The manager was kind enough to let me go home and he worked on the issue while giving me follow up calls all along the way. The specific size I ordered they didn't carry, he AMAZINGLY went out of his way to call other CVS along my route from home to work to ensure I didn't have to go out of my way after the issue with the order. Him and his photo lab team are always so great with follow up and calling if there are any issues before I go and pick up the order. Many thanks to this team! read more

This CVS Rx is always incredibly slow. I call ahead to put in my prescription but I still end up waiting 20 minutes or more just to pick it up. And forget about using the drive through cause they always help the drive through last. I've waited over 30 minutes in the drive through. read more

Bad service even the manager Regina can't get it together. They make you stay extra long if you complain you get to wait more then a hour. They make good money over $35 an hour but they treat you worse then ordering at fast food. Call corporate and let them know how rude they are. To be fair this location is better then most Rite Aides. read more

Every time, and I do mean every time I have my doctor call in a prescription, it is never ready. "we never received your prescription." I call the dr's office: "I called it in, faxed it over and sent it electronically." Every time I have filled a prescription at this pharmacy something has gone wrong. I was over-charged three out of five times, I have been told incorrect information about my insurance and I have been left over a weekend without necessary medications. STAY AWAY. read more

If I was able to give a zero I would I come in at 5:45 because my doctor called in my prescription I even handed my original prescription to the pharmacy she said come back in an hour and I'll be ready. I come back at 7:16 and my medication not ready. I have to be at school at 8 o'clock I told him I can't wait around 30 more minutes for my medication and you guys close at 9:00. I get out school at 9:45 I won't have time to pick it up before you guys close she does me I can always transfer it to a 24 hour CVS for you. I told her no I will wait 10 minutes in my car. Then she calls me and tells me that they ran out of the fucking medication what the fucki've always is 545 for this fucking medication and then they decide to tell me that they don't have any of the damn medication and my throat is fucking killing me don't come here... read more

HORRIBLE!If you want a pharmacy who delivers rudeness,doesn't acknowledge you,acts as if you are an inconvenience to them and is unproffessional..look no further than the CVS pharmacy in downtown Long Beach.The man with dark braids stands at the computer and outright talks down about guests to his Co workers in front of the lines of ppl (customers) all 4 times we were there.The younger looking Asian pharmacist tells my wife and I "I'll need to speak to your Dr first,I'll call him",then proceeds to walk away without giving any further info.After we wait for over 30min,we call the Dr ourselves,who gets very irritated with the pharmacists incompetence so he calls himself.The pharmacist still ignores us waiting,gives zero info so we leave.The next day the tech (?)who is female tells us,"oh..we don't carry that but I'll tell the pharmacist to order it"...and of course,walks away.She never took our name,never gave us a time frame and left us in the dark.I am a Target Mgr and Our pharmacy (who is now owned by CVS) has NEVER treated people that way,nor will they.This is by far the worst CVS pharmacy I've seen.Shop elsewhere...trust me. read more

So I read the reviews for this CVS, and most of them were about there pharmacy. So I decided to find out for myself. As soon as I walked in the service was awesome, big smiles, asked for my needs, and even got a excort to the aisle. I got a prescription sent to there pharmacy, and what I got was bad customer service. My medication was there right away. The store was clean and organized everyone was helpfull they came up to me asked me if I found everything ok. The cashier was super awesome she even went out of her way to the back were coupons were and i had one for my items ... when i got to my car tho there was a guy that ran out with cvs basket full of items , this guu jumped on his bike and took of super fast they had a lost prevention guy that zoomed out, but was not fast enough.The area not so good, crazy thing i saw... but overall store was awesome the pharmacy section does have to get some costumer service classes.... read more

I have used this pharmacy for about a year. The service has been mediocre but it is close and convenient. On 12/2/11 I took a prescription there. The person doing intake took it and said that it would take about 20 minutes. I never left the area and sat in one of the chairs next to the pick-up prescription area. About 30 minutes later I am paged. The person tells me they do not have the prescription in stock. I asked why it took them 30 minutes to figure this out and why they had just wasted my time. They advised they had paged me twice but I had not responded. I told them this was not possible as I had never gotten more than 10 feet from them for the entire 30 minutes and I certainly heard their page at 30 minutes. One of the pharmacist said he had tried to page me. I told him I did not believe he had paged me as I was right there the entire time (he would not look at me when I was talking to him). The staff was totally ho-hum about this (it was obviously no big deal to them). They obviously did not give a damn. I asked for my prescription back, went across the street to Walgrens, received very efficient and courteous service and had my prescription filled in about 15 minutes. Don't subject yourself to the lousy service at CVS, go across the street to Walgrens and be treated well. read more

I came in here cause walgreens photo department was not working and i didnt expect much. Years ago, I had a bad experience here before. Im not computer savvy and didnt know what I was doing. Well the manager rite away must of seen me struggling cause he came over and helped me. He took his time helping me print my pictures. I even felt bad because i was taking so much of his time he said "its not a problem, thats why we are here".
