I was looking for some cough medicine. Happened to drop by this location. Found it! Got what I wanted. This place looked cluttered. I was in and out!. No more no less. Experience: Noticed the Cashier was bias on who she greets. I waited for a few people that was a head of me. She greeted those that she felt being friendly too. I chose this pharmacy even though I came from a CVS because they were the only one drive-thru pharmacy I had in my area. CVS has always been good to me but I have a dog and I don't feel like it's necessary to bring my dog in when I get my prescription. Although CVS does allow me to bring my dog in there when needed. My beef is with Walgreens and it's service. The last two or three times I've gone to refill my prescriptions. I've had to contact my own doctor talk to my doctor before getting the prescriptions filled and then I've gone each time. Not once not twice but three times to pick up my prescriptions to the drive-thru but they're closed every time I go. It doesn't matter if it's lunch time or not. I've gone at 2:00 and they're still wide open. I've gone three times in one day and all three times are not open. Walked into the pharmacy and they're still not open. I would suggest you go back to CVS and cry for help before you go to this. God forsaken pharmacy ever again.. read more

Going to the pharmacy and having someone like Vinny wait on you is exceptional. He was the only tech there this morning and it was super busy. He handled himself very professionally and well mannered. He took care of my prescriptions that I needed to pick up and also processed another for a refill. I also had to complete a form for my scheduled vaccine. I waited a bit longer than normal since the pharmacist who was on the phone which was fine. Vinny made the extra effort to advise myself and another customer that the pharmacist would be right with us. Unbelievable! I hadn't been here since 2020 when all the COVID stuff happened due to being treated so poorly by the employees here. Came here in the late afternoon looking for a few things I needed last minute. Went to the checkout and got in line. The guy ahead of me was trying to purchase alcohol and cigarettes and claimed, "I lost my wallet." This dude was obviously fresh out of jail or a psych facility. The cashier told him without ID, he could not sell him the alcohol and cigarettes. The guy asked to speak with a manager. Manager comes over (with bright pink hair) and sells him the alcohol and cigarettes WITHOUT checking ID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All I could say is staff is unaware of procedures & transactions with certain deposits that Walgreens offers. I walked in and asked for a deposit transaction and employee proceeded with we can't do that. So I asked for management and she wasn't aware of how the transactions were done as well she had to walk in the office and ask as well. Coming out she tells the employee to proceed and employees still proceeds to do it incorrectly to the point that I had to ask management to come help her. I've used this location for many years there are at least two pharmacist available to discuss medication with you they are always well stocked in the medicine I need and if it's not available they fast track ever order. I use the call in pre-fill service 562-424-3963 it's fast secure and pick up is always a breeze. You can have your blood pressure checked and they offer flu shots as well. They supply any and everything you need to get well in this store and will special order anything not in stock. I always do a little shopping while my order is being filled they have so many interesting things to buy a huge makeup selection which I love and gifts galore. Don't let me get started on the snacks in this store they have every candy you can think of on the planet, you name it and I bet they have it. They sell wine too and have a nice variety available. They have a small deli section with sandwiches, frozen dinners, ice cream juice, soda and so much more. The wait time for my order if I walk-in my prescription takes only 20-30 minutes. I wanted to use my Walgreens rewards. I'm waiting to enter my zip code, and it signed me up for an effing credit card application!!!!!!!! BEWARE! At no point did I ask about a Walgreens credit card! I had to ask a second time to use my Walgreens rewards, and finally the zip code prompt came up. This transaction took 3x longer than it needed to be. Even after I asked the first time to use my rewards, the cashier repeated the total to me. I was here at Christmas, the computer overcharged me for 6 out of 12 items. I had to come back, the return took more than 20 minutes, I payed in cash, and they gave me a refund on a store gift card instead of my original form of payment! Every time I come here it's always a problem. Don't waste your time here unless you are truly desperate and out of options. Try CVS across the street. read more

I also got some random lady's photos I was charged for but I returned the next day. When I went for a reprint their printer wasn't working ofcourse.... Yep, a 2-star drop. Why, you ask? Simple, if your photo department isn't up to standard or something is wrong with my photo, CALL ME. Had a passport photo taken on Saturday, May 17. The associate told me that they call me when it was ready. I told him it wasn't a rush, I'd just come back Monday or Tuesday. Come back Tuesday, see the same associate, ask for my photo. Another associate checks the bin, couldn't find my order and asked the lead associate (I'm thinking lead since he was wearing a vest and tie) about my order. He told me, "Oh, it didn't turn out." Great, I have an appointment for Wednesday afternoon and you don't call and tell me that same day, let alone THREE F-ING DAYS LATER that the photo "didn't turn out." The other rep (bless her, I'll thank her when I pick up my prescription next time) chimed in "You can try either Cherry/Market or Lakewood/South". I thanked her (and not Mr. Vest and Tie), turned around and left. Question: why take down my name and number, then NOT call me if there's a problem. Walgreen's fail. "Be well." They gave a good selection of seasonal and holiday items In the center of the store so make sure to pick up some chocolates or whatever strikes your fancy . The red box is located on the outside of the store facing Atlantic blvd just in case you are wondering . I know the red box is important to a lot of people . The staff is usually nice and attentive if you need some help . They try to get people out at soon as possible but it can be difficult considering they only have two check outs . I usually use the Rx drive through. VERY convenient and easy to use and the staff is always nice, however people need to drop off their Rx and move out the way as they wait for a fill so that people like me can get in n out. I drop off and swing back later on to give the staff ample time to fill my Rx and not feel rushed. As for the Redbox reviewers on Walgreens yelp page. Please hold red box accountable for the ghetto mess their customers cause you vs Walgreens. Bixby is a very nive neighborhood but unfortunately we get non homeowners of Bixbyknolls who use the redbox bcus our redbox always has stocked machines.
