This CVS pharmacy had medicine my son needed that is tough to come by. They called me back immediately after I had reached out to all CVS in area for a partial refill and I couldn't have been more grateful. The staff was kind and attentive and they turned around the refill in a timely manner. The only thing that keeps this CVS from a 5 star review is it's extremely cramped where the lines form. Doesn't make sense to be the third person in line and stuck in the middle of an aisle. read more

I came to this CVS for a flu shot and was pretty disappointed by the condition of the waiting area. There was trash on the floor and noticeable dust around the seating area. For a pharmacy where people come for vaccines and health related services, cleanliness is really important. Sitting in a dirty waiting area before getting a flu shot was concerning and didn't feel hygienic. The staff was okay, but overall the experience could be much better with proper cleaning and upkeep. I hope the store improves this, especially in areas where patients are waiting. read more

On Thursday 5/14 around 8:30 pm I have a worst experience at cvs Irvine blvd / Culver dr. First of all I went to get my prescription from drive through the lady told me to go inside even though my med was ready. When I came inside fortunately need to start the line again when reach to the tech he said go to talk to the pharmacist. Mr pharmacist said to come to other side of the window. He fixed the right co-pay and directed me to go to cashier and pay. I was very frustrated by making me jumping around waisted the time instead of just fixed at the drive through. However, I was only me at the drive through. Pharmacist could come to the DT and fixed the issue at the very beginning. I probably would cancel my entire family prescription purchases to this location never want to go back this place. Very bad customer service. Hopefully operation director notice the issue. read more

"Put the burden on the customer," that should be CVS's slogan. Narrowly avoided a fist fight today over a guy getting upset about my use of the "separate" mobile pickup line. Yes, the one that says in 5 different places "use this lane to Skip the line by using the mobile app!" Well I did that, and the cashier says "there's only one line since there's only one cashier." I responded, maybe you should block off the mobile pickup line then. "We're not allowed to." There's really no Skip the line part of it then. CVS: Please remove this stupid lane altogether and avoid confusion for people. Your customers are going to get hurt. read more

Been waiting patiently at the drive through pharmacy for 45 minutes stuck between cars and can't get out. Service is extremely slow.

Staff is friendly and attentive and location is convenient but they are severely understaffed. Came on a Thursday morning with an appointment for my flu shot at 10:45. Checked in early at 10:25 and wasn't seen until 11:40 am after I asked twice. The pharmacist Michelle was clearly overwhelmed and also rather rude. I'm a healthcare worker and get flu shots every year and this is the first time I've been sent away without a bandaid or a receipt / documentation of receiving the flu shot. Did I even get the right shot? We'll never know. I understand that there's corporate pressure and that CVS shouldn't allow 5-6 people to book the same appointment slot, but it's also important to triage and the provider needs to look up from her clipboard to see who has been waiting there a while and who just got there. The final straw of frustration was when I saw the 3rd set of people who checked in after me get called up -- and she was allowing pairs of people get vaccinated even though only one had an appointment!!!! This makes me so livid as our time is valuable and everyone has to wait their turn, no matter if they're here with someone or not. read more

Horrible experience for years with this pharmacy. They don't return calls and they lie... they refuse to fill prescriptions ordered by doctor and then blame both the patient and the doctor. They try to force the doctor to prescribe drugs that are cheaper and better for CVS. When the doctor doesn't agree or refuses to authorize the cheaper alternative or a different drug CVS claims the doc is not authorizing and they refuse to full prescription blaming the doc when its actually CVS putting their own profit interests above patient well being and health. The pharmacists are great! But the check out line moves sO SLOW and only one person working! Doesn't work when there's a line forming at 1pm with just one employee taking care of us. The check out computer freezes, can't print receipt. That alone took almost 10 minutes. One of the self check out is broken and needs help. That lady waited even though the cashier was taking care of people AFTER her. Cashier called Daniel for help and has to call twice to get him to come to the front. There are a few employees here who are delightful & helpful customer service professionals. The pharmacy, not so much ... some are friendly, some are outright rude & don't show that they care at all. This particular review is regarding the restroom facility. On occasion, especially when I've had to wait for a prescription, I have needed to use the restroom. I would think that a store that caters to the health & well-being of humans, would at least have a decently clean restroom facility. Worst CVS experience and manager Joey! Avoid at all costs, not polite no empathy just a rude staff

The worst pharmacy with the most incompetent staff members. Doctor sent over a medication to be picked up and they said request denied because I'm a day early. Okay no problem. Returned a day later and they said no it's been denied so the doctor needs to place it again. Okay called my doctor. My doctor called them and spoke with the lead pharmacist, only for her to say that it's my fault the medication was denied because it was placed too early and they don't even have it in stock so I need to wait again. My medication is time sensitive and if I miss a day then it leads to complications. Worse pharmacy ever because they never have any of my meds in stock and make me wait 2-3 weeks for it to come in. read more

I stopped by late at night for medication due to severe congestion and the whole pharmacy staff stepped in to recommend remedies. The pharmacist Sahar was incredibly kind. I do not like going to this CVS but the closing of the CVS on Portola has made it my only option. -Good news, the Pharmacy is better now that they merged the Portola CVS staff into the Irvine Blvd. staff. Lines are always long, but they get to you much faster. I think the staff is much better than it used to be and they are helpful. -Bad news, pretty much everything else. The shelves are always empty, there is no one in the store to help (except for the people in the pharmacy), and the aisles always look like fire hazards with carts and fixtures. Exceptionally slow service despite being fully staffed. I don't understand how that can be. Every time I've had to use this location instead of my usual (or any other nearby location) I've had to wait at LEAST twice as long, which is about 30 minutes, just to pick up a prescription. I used to hate coming here & started to avoid it due to the horrible manager who yelled at me when I asked her for help. They had very poor customer service. I had to come in one day recently for something quick & was greeted by a very nice Indian man (forgive me, I forgot his name). I have been back twice since. Absolute worst customer service! I called to ask what hours they're available to take passport photos, and was informed in a very snarky tone that they're only between 9-5. Kinda weird since the store is open later than that, but whatever. I get there by 4:20 and tell the lady at the cash register I'm there for my passport photo. She clearly has a major attitude and goes "Aw, sorry, can't. I'm the only one working, you can try again tomorrow." I let her know I had just called and was told they're available at this time. I come to this CVS location often for essentials, specially my husband's asthma inhaler. Today, I came in during a busy Christmas holiday when people are loosing their minds and stores are packed. I was pleasantly surprised when I was greeted by Linda. She was outgoing and friendly and immediately helped me navigate thru the chaos. She was patient and helped me use the self check out. It was refreshing, since unfortunately this is not the norm. Thanks again Linda for being so cordial and giving me that little hope that shopping can be a good experience during one of the busiest times of the year. Where do I start. Long story short, the staff and pharmacist don't want to hear what you have to say assuming they are correct, which wasn't the case with me. If you are unlucky enough to get a partial refill, they don't call you when the rest is ready and they won't even fill for the remainder of the RX. They just want you to wait for the cycle to reset. The wait time is terrible. I've been here about 3 times now and each time it's been a struggle taking no less than 30 minutes wait after I was "helped". I will be transferring my RX anywhere else. read more

I SOooo miss the CVS on Portola. This CVS is a mess. Although the pharmacy is fine the rest of the store is a disorganized disaster The shelves are usually empty and items that are there are haphazardly thrown around. I don't know if it is a supply chain issue or if the buyers aren't buying properly. I have lived in Northpark for 24 years and I remember when this place was just fine. There is never anyone on the floor to help you. Since they have locked up certain items you can never find anyone to open the cases. I have had the cashier do it but they are busy as the registers are normally manned by one person. If I find that to be the case I get things on Amazon instead. No wonder brick and mortar stores are closing. If I was willing to drive I'd go to Walgreens. I wish they would take these negative reviews to heart and fix things. read more

The CVS Pharmacy employee named Lauren is so rude and could care less about CVS customers. My wife was in to pick up an urgent prescription for our daughter (anti-seizure med) and she dismissed my wife with a terrible attitude by saying they're all out and to get in line at another window to place an order. My wife went to the other window only to learn that there was plenty of stock of the anti-seizure medicine. After spending the weekend in the hospital with our daughter because of a life threatening seizure, it was terrible to be treated so badly by Lauren at the CVS Pharmacy. She should be fired. But, attitude is a reflection of leadership so maybe everyone there needs to be trained on common courtesy and customer service. read more

Do NOT get your covid test here if traveling. They send ALL tests to a lab and have NOTHING to do with the testing besides collecting it. VERY MISLEADING. No one will help you if you call. Rapid result tests NAAT will Not be back within 1-2 days. Avoid!!! We had a covid PCR test scheduled for 1:50pm and they said they're closed until 2:00pm because of their break. Ok, that's fine but then why was this time slot offered in the first place? They also canceled my booster shot last minute but when I called to confirm cancellation, absolutely no one was answering their phones. The absolute worst pharmacy I have ever been to. The pharmacy is poorly managed. Will send you an alert that your meds are ready. Go to pick it up and tell you they're still working on it and need a couple more hours. On another occasion, they informed me they needed a day to fill a medication that was called in 3 days prior. Then come to find out, they "hit their limit for your medication for the month". Most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.
