Was in the immediate area having a key fob made for my car across the street when I stumbled into this very unique CVS that has a legit pharmacy, but also an entire section dedicated to the local Hispanic community, hence the "Y Mas" after CVS. I also needed to withdraw some cash via their atm, which, at $3.50 a pop per withdrawal wasn't cheap, but not too bad either. I was grateful they had a functioning atm to begin with. Perhaps the best part of this visit to this particular CVS was the fact that they had a super sweet (and locked under key) cologne and perfume section with major name brands going for way, way cheaper than you'd find them anywhere else. I drove all over LA and couldn't find any Cracker Jack's! CVS was my last resort and they didn't have any either (tears). There were a few brands of caramel popcorn however, which was the closest I could find. The staff was nice and accommodating and even went through the effort of checking their system just in case, and turns out they don't carry Cracker Jack's at all. I appreciated the customer service and finding some similar options for me that were on hand at the store. read more

they are so unprofessional here from the manager i believe her name is may Ly to the employees, received a message that my prescriptions were ready then i show up and they tell me it won't be ready until another 30 mins, then i said that's fine I'll take the one that's ready and come back for the other one later the manager told me you are going to have to get in line twice, i think she wasn't understanding that i was going to come back for the one that wasn't ready so she keep telling me that ima have to make line twice to pick up the other prescriptions she seemed really upset and had a negative attitude. then i get in line to pick up the one that was ready, so i asked the one working the register that i was also here to pick up another prescription told her the name for the prescription and it was ready too, so the manager wanted to make me wait 30 mins for something that was already ready wow. read more

This cvs pharmacy is a hit or miss. If you're lucky, you get the nice pharmacists. Most the time you get the rudest ones there. The pharmacy technicians in blue are the ones that are helpful. Other than the long lines with over an hour wait, I've had horrible experiences there. The store itself is fine, but to get prescribed medicine oh boy. The first to mention is how long it took for them to give my grandfather his medication because according to them his "insurance" did not approve to pay for his $1K medication. After waiting over two months for his medication and on dialysis, I decided to call his insurance and they said that the pharmacist had never even imputed a request for them to approve his medication. My grandfather was without his medication for so long and for what? Just because the Asian technician was being racist towards us. I hate to call her out, but not only has this happened with my medication, my grandmothers, grandfathers, but as well as others I've witnessed that have spoke only Spanish. It's as though she has gave up on all Spanish speakers and if they don't receive their medication she DOES NOT CARE. She doesn't even have the decency to look into your eyes while talking to you. So if you have a grandparent or parent that speaks Spanish hope to God that you don't have to speak to the pharmacist that doesn't speak Spanish. I've called to make a complain about this same physician and nothing. Just the other day, I could not go with my grandma to the pharmacy so she went alone and was basically hopped back and forth in the long lines none of them helping her not speaking Spanish all for her medication being on the counter table by the pharmacist computer when she did not give her all 3 medications the first time around she picked up the first medications. Overall, this is one of the worst cvs pharmacies I've dealt with for so many years and will be asking to have all of our medications to be sent to another even tho it's the closest to our home. The pharmacy staff is great and they truly care about you. The store's merchandising is weird. I went in this pharmacy looking for sunglasses. The clerk told me they don't have any and won't until Summer as it is seasonal. Have you ever heard something so crazy? This is a pharmacy! You need sunglasses all year round, especially in winter with the lower sun angles when your driving. I told my eye doctor and she laughed saying it was stupid. read more

This pharmacy is incompetent. My mother in laws prescription was sent 4 days ago, she received a text saying her prescription was ready. I Got my prescription sent yesterday and went today to pick it up with her and none of our medication was ready. Their excuse being that they're behind. I don't get it how can a pharmacy be 4 days behind on medication? What exactly are they doing that they're so far behind. The CVS web site states that they carry the Johnson & Johnson COVID vaccine and that walk-ins are welcome. Those are both blatant lies. After visiting two local CVS pharmacies and wasting two hours of my time, I was turned away from getting a vaccine. I attempted to bring this issue up the chain at CVS and after getting the run around on CVS's automated call system, I was told that they would not file a complaint unless I handed over my personal information. That is why I am putting this here on Yelp. After this horrible experience, I will never shop at CVS again. Outside the Location is not very clean. It Is due for a heavy duty high pressure hot water jet spray on the floors. Inside it is ok. Not up to date. The old style CVS with a pretty fast and busy pharmacy. The check out is fast and slow depends on when you go and how many are working to cover (point of sale) registers. As much as I appreciate the CVS bucks and coupons. The amount of paper used on the receipts is insane. Should be simple and short if necessary. Coupons and such could be on a app or email. The wait for dropping off RX has been about 5 to 10 min. Picking up completed RX has been about 20 min average. They have pretty much almost everything in stock everytime I've gone in. Cold drink cooler is full of variety and Alcohol aisle is covered with Cameras and Safety anti theft caps. Well thats it. Pharmacy is the worst, I've been several times to have a refill transferred from another pharmacy to CVS. They seem to just "don't know" how to do this... over the last week I have waited at the store, have them reach me by phone at their convenience, and waited some more. After more than a week of this they (counter person in charge) says to me "I'm sorry I will get back to you as soon as I know what is going on". To which I replied "I am out of meds" I need these ... to which he replied "I can cancel the request if you like". Then I walked away... only complaint is: if not able to help "SAY SO". I did not have the same experience here, and wish someone would have spoken to me in 'Spanish - I could use the practice with this beautiful language. We came in here as a last minute gift was in-order. Although there was a line, it went very fast. There were great deals on everything, and we ended up getting the perfect gift box complete with LED lights and a very cute bow for the car, all for 30% off. We also were able to purchase some gift cards on the fly! Lastly, I needed cash, and was happy to not have to go to an ATM - it was free at the register when I used my debit card (max. $35). Went it to get prescription for my mom, paid about $320 then realized they gave ointment when prescription clearly stated cream. Went back and they stated it was the same, left and told my mom to use it. Well ointment is too hard, sticky, oily and not meant for face clearly as it doesn't spread. Fist time visiting this pharmacy. I came in with 4 different, non-refillable prescriptions to fill, for a friend after his surgery. The person who attended me happened to be the pharmacist herself - curt, unprofessional, and unwilling to go any inch extra to help me obtain a prescription she described as, "People rob for this narcotic." She described how I'd have to walk this prescription into each CVS to see if they could fill it, but forgot to inform me I'd have to produce my friend's ID. As I waited for my friend's prescriptions, I witnessed a very helpful pharm tech ask if this new pharmacist was able to help a client in line for a pharmacist consultation. The young, unprofessional, terse pharmacist brusquely cut the pharm tech short in front of us. Nothing breaks down work moral faster than a rude boss. Nothing is more deplorable than watching someone usurp their position. You are only as good as your front line people. If it weren't for the utterly kind and professional pharm tech Sharwasi(?), there'd be absolutely no reason to waste your time walking in to this pharmacy.
