One of my favorite CVS stores because they're always so well stocked of.....Hello Kitty! Being the big fan of Hello Kitty, it's always such a pleasure to visit this store! In all seriousness though, I appreciate this CVS because of the good customer service I've experienced. I remember awhile back looking for a particular item and the store manager went above and beyond to help me locate the item. The Baseline: For a pharmacy there must be a good amount of medication for ailments, extras for the home/pantry, and ease of finding items. Pharmacy: There was a great selection of over the counter medications with brand names and generics. There is always good amount of sales on items so you need your CVS account active. Selection: I saw a good amount of other items available. There is a Ralph's next door so they are competing against a grocery store on their food items. Service: There is a self check out kiosk and there is an associate at the counter. There was helpful staff and I was able to talk to them easy. Facility: Relatively clean and organized. Pharmacy basically running bank hours now. 5 minutes after receiving a text to pickup a prescription, I arrive and the pharmacist closes. Instead of being customer oriented and helping, she says, "it's an automated message" and proceeds to shut it down. Walgreens in El Segundo has much better customer service. CVS ought to have messaging logic to not communicate a prescription is ready when the pharmacy is within 30 minutes of closing. read more

The CVS here is a bit lifeless. I never had an issue with the workers here. They have always been helpful. I pick up my photos from here and it sometimes can be a bit slow to receive. I only come here because it's conveniently close to home. read more

(It was ready) Online product inventory is always wrong and half the items are under lock and key. They charge more than any other retailer for the same items. It was a quick stop because I only had five minutes to get to my appointment at another spot nearby. I needed to pick up a couple of hair products. This is my first run here, so with the time limit I had, I had hoped I'd find them fast. And I did. The only reason that happened is because of how clean and organized that aisle was, as with all the other aisles I went through. These are the kind of quick runs I like! Get in, get stuff, get out! Beware. I walked into this CVS recently and made a purchase. The next day while at work, I received a notification via text that my withdrawal from an ATM AT this exact CVS had been declined. My bank was able to decline as I never withdraw from random ATM's, not even cash back from purchases. Last year I also purchased a gift card from this location and it was part of the gift card scam where when I activated it, the funds were IMMEDIATELY used. My niece attempted to use it the day after it was purchased and it had zero balance. Lesson learned. read more

The pharmacists are quite unhelpful. I went in to get a prescription which I thought was the "rest of the original" prescription but it was actually a refill So it technically wasn't ready and insurance doesn't pay if it's too soon. Which I completely understand. However...the pharmacist questioned me and basically accused me of taking all my medication and wanting a refill before it was time. I did go back and show him my bottle because I was upset and wanted to prove a point but he was so rude and accusatory the first time and it was just a misunderstanding. Also, they will tell you it's ok to "walk-in" for a vaccine and when you get there they won't take walk-ins. Stick with Manhattan Village....pharmacists here have zero customer service. read more

Hours for pharmacy are fraudulent. Posted hours 8:00am to 9:00pm. There is no backup for the pharmacist. She goes to lunch and you wait. Manager says that customers were advised somehow. He claims that the pharmacy is actually open, just not for anything that requires a pharmacist?! read more

I work in the office buildings on the other side of Rosecrans, which means I have visited this CVS for many types of random items as needed. In the past several months, check out has been extremely slow with no look of urgency on the checker's face. They're just taking their time--because they have to be there for however long. I am usually pretty patient with long waits--especially if it appears they're understaffed or the checkers are doing their best to catch up. This has never been the case in the 20+ times I've visited. I had the "pleasure" of a manager handling check out a few visits ago--his total lack of customer service skills gave insight as to why those who report to him likely show the same apathetic body language. I watched the minutes tick by (16 minutes to be exact) while he checked the TWO people out ahead of me in line. One customer just had some simple questions, but instead of being helpful he turned the whole conversation into an argument. Anyway, this brings me to the actual reason for writing this 1-star review in the first place. Yesterday the adapter for my iphone headphones went out. I knew I would want my headphones at the gym the following morning, so I figured I could avoid going to Fry's by trying CVS. SCORE! I found an adapter. Bought it. $21 with tax. Great, fine, cool. As I'm leaving I don't take a receipt, fully assuming I'm going to keep the item, what could possibly go wrong? Fast-forward to this morning. The adapter works horribly. There are gurgling sounds and distorted noises inbetween the actual music playing. It was so obnoxious I did my workout without music. The quiet was more motivating than that. So, today, I decided to march that adapter back to CVS for a refund. I realized I didn't have a receipt, but I figured I could explain that I JUST purchased it 16 hours prior, it's completely defective. As I walked in, the security system picked up on the item, showing clearly, I had purchased it there. One of the employees comes to the checkout and I explain I do not have a receipt, but I need to return a defective item. He tells me he will "try". Ok, that's fine. Go ahead and try. He processes the return, asking if I want store credit. "No thank you, I'd like the money back." He says ok and begins to count my cash back, in the amount of $16. I paid $21+. I told him this and he says very rudely, "You don't have a receipt. We DON'T REFUND FULL PRICE FOR RETURNS WITH NO RECEIPT." That seems like a policy you would share prior to issuing the refund...you know, spin it in a customer-service-oriented-way, "Hey, before I give you cash back instead of store credit, I want to notify you that our policy states we only refund back 'x%' on returns with no receipt. I said, quite shocked, "WOW. That's nuts to not refund a customer in the full amount..." He looks at me angrily, pointing at the box (which was ripped on the side), 'WE CAN'T SELL THIS NOW TO SOMEONE ELSE. IT'S OPENED.' To which I responded, "you SHOULDN'T re-sell it to someone else. It doesn't work. Why would you do that to another customer??" I started to walk out as he continued to yell out something else to me. Really...? Did this just happen...? read more

This was the best experience I have had at a CVS EVER!!! I was greeted by the Beauty Specialist (which most stores do not have). I came in for foundation and they were out of my shade. Not only did the specialist check in the back, she also offered to check other locations. CVS has really stepped up their customer service. I just wish that I could get this type of service at every location. Kudos to you all, I will definitely be back! read more

I agree with one of the reviews...This place is ODD and the people working in there too..Haha So here's what's up the old guy with gray hair tried to RIP me off, hes a shady old dude, thought I wouldn't notice I was charged for the person before me a 20 dollar amount that I assume he forgot to charge her..yet she walked out scott free with her ensure drink lol.... I literally had to stand there and explain over and over again when I came back in and saw what he charged me. Close to my house, friendly staff, clean store inside. However I do think they could do a better job keeping the outside clean, especially the stairwell leading to the rooftop parking lot, if ever an area needed a good power wash and some bleach that's it. The entryway is also pretty grimey, there's lots of gum stuck to the side walk and there always seems to be some amount of trash on the ground or stuck in the bushes. No excuse for that, hence the 3 stars. read more

Can't believe there could be any poor reviews on this place. Everyone who works there has gone out of their way to help me over the years. Not one single bad experience. The Pharmacy is fantastic. I've never been impressed with CVS, but this location (1570 Rosecrans Ave Manhattan Beach, CA) in particular does not deserve your business. It must have the most incompetent and uncaring management. I've been there three times in the last year or so, and every time I wondered why I'd bothered. The first time, I could not print 1-hr photos because the machines had been broken but weren't fixed due to COVID. Second time, I wanted to get passport photos (website advertised it at the location) and was told they didn't do that. Today was the last straw. I had my UPS package delivered here, but they could not locate it. They simply said they didn't have it and I needed to sort it out with UPS. None of the employees cared or apologized. What a terrible business. I will never use this location again and try not to go to CVS in general. read more

First off, what's up with all the Hello Kitty pics on this business listing? Okay, now that I have that out of me, I'll say that this CVS is A-OK. I came for some sunblock and a beach towel, and found oh so much more waiting here for me. No, I didn't see any Hello Kitty. But I did find a great beach towel, not quite the sunblock I was looking for (but some nonetheless), an American flag bandana, a pair American flag wayfarers, and some bottled water. Yes, that was my shopping list. If you question it, then you hate America. That said, the place was spacious, clean, and the staff was helpful enough. Can't say what my impressions would be if I were shopping here for essentials on a daily basis. I was a little disappointed that they didn't have the block I was looking for (Neutrogina Sport 30... they only had it in the 70) but I guess that stuff is hard to find. It seems that most people only want to be stark white or bronze tan from the Hawaiian Tropic. Nothing in between? Whatever. Those people hate America. But I digress. ***This is a pretty standard CVS; it might be bigger than some of their stores; service was good, but prices on a few of their items do feel a little high (but that is the case with a lot of pharmacies when compared to big stores like Target)*** This CVS Pharmacy is located in a retail plaza with a Bristol Farms and a Houston's that has its own free and huge parking lot. The pharmacist are very sweet. They are helpful if you have questions. They try to get to know their costumers. The cashiers always say hello and good bye when you come in and leave. They are organized and if you have trouble finding anything they will direct you to it. read more

For a chain store this one is surprisingly light on cashiers. I'm giving it four stars due to the pharmacy being so awesome, they worked with my three pharmacy plans to get me the best deals on medication back a year ago when I had both a sinus infection and the flu at the same time. I was miserable and they helped me. More recently, I suffered an allergic reaction to something I ate at Whole foods on Sepulveda. First time dealing with something like this and again the pharmacy came through. They helped figure out what was wrong and got me the Benadryl & something to drink it down with right there in the store. I'll definitely be going back. read more

Errands. It seems as though women are on an unending quest to fulfill them. I know I was when I walked to this location of CVS during my lunch break. I had previously purchased a Fujifilm camera, but the PNY memory card would not format. I was pretty confident a brand new camera wasn't the issue - it was an incompatible memory card. So with the hope that I could find a compatible one at CVS, there I was. I found them at the front of the store displayed under the photography counter. Unable to retrieve the card on my own, I had to get the cashier to open the security lock in order to make my purchase. They need to have more cashiers available at lunchtime because by the time she got my memory card and got back to the checkout stand, there were six more people in line. read more

Everyone at this pharmacy are always so sweet and helpful and I think that is why I keep coming back.. I went to get my passport picture taken, and have had a really stressful day, which the woman behind the counter noticed. She made sure to give me the pictures as quickly as possible and even asked another customer if he could wait a few minutes for assistance so that she could take care of me. SO SWEET! It totally made my day! Not only was she fast, she also gave me a bottle of water for the hot weather outside and send me away with a smile on my face. My bad day had all sudden turned good... Every customer is greeted by a manager or staff member when they walk in the door. Even during the pandemic, staff members have gone out of their way to be helpful. I've gone to the pharmacy at this location for years. They, too, go above and beyond to help with any insurance, refill, etc. issues. I can't speak highly enough about my experience at this CVS and, in particular, its pharmacy. read more

As I write this review I will have been on hold with the pharmacy department for over 25 mins and that is not an exaggeration. I'm trying to inquire if my meds are ready so I don't need to waste time and wait around there if I show up and they are not in fact ready. I expect more customer service than this.
