My experience started horribly as my insurance wouldn't cover my glucose meter. But friendly pharmacist used her personal cellphone to obtain a coupon online that she used to successfully fill my prescriptions. I will continue as a consumer here only due to the due diligence and care that this pharmacists lady demonstrated with ease and grace. I am a regular at this pharmacy. I agree with a previous post Vi Nguyen is an amazing pharmacist, but the whole team is amazing! They remember me each and every time. They really do their best. Lately they have seem understaffed. Perhaps corporate is squeezing them to do more with less or they are having a hard time recruiting, but the store is clean friendly and inviting. I shopped online for Easy Fiber and found CVS offered it for $15.49/bottle (125 servings). No where on the website did it indicate this price was limited to online sales. When I went into the store and bought it, they charged me $22.79 for the same item. When I asked a store clerk why I was charged $7.30 more than was advertised online, she said they charge differently for online and instore sales, though she allowed that she could see why I was upset at the discrepancy. As far as I'm concerned, if CVS advertises a product online at a specified price and does not indicate that pricing is limited to online sales, it is deceptive indeed to charge instore customers a higher price, particularly when they do not clearly list a price in store and don't clearly say their online prices do not apply to instore purchases. I will be very wary indeed of CVS representations as if they are not trying to mislead, they at least don't seem to care enough to frame their advertising to avoid customer confusion over and misunderstanding of their pricing. read more

I went this afternoon to this cvs and the employees are very nice. I asked for something that wasn't on the shelves and they kindly offered to look for it in the back. This place doesn't ever seem busy but that's okay by me! I'm always in and out. They have reasonably priced b-day candles and party supplies (which is why I went here after buying a cake at Nothing Bunt Cake next door) and a pharmacy as well as plenty of parking. They're doing some construction in the lot but that'll be better in the long run. They always seem stocked as well and the people are always friendly. read more

I personally think that this place is great for buying all kinds of things. From personal items to actual groceries. Their card section is really great, they carry papyrus brand cards as well as generic ones. There is always a holiday display and the prices are great. They always seem to have things on discount as well. Make sure to bring your CVS card (although if you dont, they will give you one on the spot) They have also opened up a make-up/skin care area that has SOOO many great items. They also checkout people here (scan your items checkout, not the other kind) which makes lines a little less troubling. Did i mention bringing your CVS card?---Good Idea. read more

We spent nearly half an hour trying to print pictures but ran into a host of problems. The nice woman at the register called "Andy" to help at photo. Waited n waited. 10 mins later she asked if Andy helped us. No. She went on the P.A. again for Andy. Waited another 5 mins. Finally just left. The cashier apologized as we left. She was excellent. The CVS at 1200 Sepulveda Blvd. Is wonderful! Brian Lee goes above and beyond to support and help in any way he can. The entire staff there are always organized, caring and even fun! The other day they told me I should not be paying such a high price and that I should come in to give them my insurance info again. My price went from 166t to approximately 11.00. I think they are great. Brian was on his lunch break but heard me mention his name and took over until everything was handled. I am grateful! One concern though, is that I had initially had it delivered and a neighbor from a condominium complex behind me walked it over saying it was dropped at his door. There should have been a sign for this but it was simply dropped off. If the neighbor in those condos didn't happen to know me( he is the only person in the nearby condos who knows me) those important meds would not have come to me and could've been left out there or someone else could've gotten my medication. That may have been the responsibility of the company who delivered it. I called CVS and Brian said to bring it in with my insurance card and he would credit my card. Gratefully, it will be credited. Nonetheless, Target CVS are always quick and caring. read more

This rating is for the Pharmacy - This location is better than the Hermosa CVS. However it is a consistent issue with CVS, they are very slow (even for pickup only). It seems like they could revamp their process to make it easier for their customers. I think they expect you to walk around and purchase items from the store. Perhaps learning from other pharmacies how they process their orders accurately and faster I would give a better review. For the store - it is kept clean and orderly. I just love CVS. I could spend hours and hours shopping here. I typically go to the one on Sepulveda but I also like this one (it's a bit older). I've never had an issue with lines or unfriendly staff. This location actually seems a bit bigger than the one on Sepulveda but of course they all have the same stuff. read more

Worst pharmacy ever! I keep giving it another chance, because it is so close to my house, but their system is either always down or they don't carry the medication I can get at other pharmacies. It is so frustrating, I will never go to their pharmacy again. I guess I will have to drive further to the CVS in Target, which is so much better. I only come here for the pharmacy. The pharmacy staff is wonderful. I don't like the store entrance, layout or location. But the pharmacy staff is head and shoulders above any I have ever encountered. I came here originally because the CVS around the corner told me they did not have-- and didn't know when they might get--one of my medications. This sounded strange, since I'd been buying it and others from that store for many years and it was a very common drug. When I started going to this CVS nearby to pick up that one prescription, they worked with codes at the register until they got me an amazing, legitimate discount on my drug. And the staff was very friendly. Eventually the codes stopped working, but I got several months of great savings before that happened. Later, I found out the only reason I was sent to this pharmacy was because the head pharmacist at my original CVS store got more credit for selling generics of one of my medications and I was buying a name brand. So she basically made her staff lie to force me elsewhere for one drug, even though I still had several other prescriptions at her store!!! I WAS LIVID AND DISGUSTED. Once I found that out, I transferred all my prescriptions to this store. I don't know the pharmacist here. But I don't want to shop at the old CVS, where I know the pharmacist cares so little for her customers that she manipulates and inconveniences them for her own personal gain. The friendly attitude and helpfulness of this pharmacy staff--and the absence of such a selfish, negative pharmacist--make this a much better pharmacy than my "old one." read more

Horrible when it comes to prescriptions. You cannot leave your prescription if there's nothing in stock. That's the first I've heard. I usually am allowed to leave the prescription and come back when they have them, but not in this location "does not want to be responsible for a prescription since they see more than 5,000 prescriptions a week". First of all, if you say you don't want to be 'responsible' then maybe working at a pharmacy is not a job for you. read more

We've been dealing with CVS for quite some time, and while every business has it's ups and downs, the Rosecrans location seems to be in somewhat of a nose dive. Not only do I concur with the more recent reviews (2019) except for the lone 5 star (probably a friend). But my own personnel experience has me wondering why we dealt with them in the first place. My Wife's BC meds was the main reason. Myself, I'm a Gout sufferer. Those of you unfamiliar just need to know, it is a condition that absolutely sucks in the worst way. And when you feel an attack coming on, there is little to nothing you won't do to avoid, dodge, or mitigate the pain. My Doctors License got yanked (all political) April 2, yet on April 11, they refilled one of my meds without a hitch. later I went to refill the second med in my cocktail. It was denied. Long story short, they're drone slaves to their Computers, and really don't communicate very well amongst themselves. I was dealing with Vi, and while I've been on this medication for quite some time, It appears they have convenient memories. After much to do, she agrees to a "loaner" amount of 6 capsules, the next day (her day off) I deal one of her subordinates named Mariam, who tells me there are only 3 that she can give me. The old bait and switch or the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Then when I ask for Vi to call me ASAP, in the AM, that's right no call. At 4:45 PM I called. I am then accused of being rude to Mariam. I was in an extreme amount of discomfort as a direct result of their incompetence. What is Mariam's excuse for her insolence? I guess they don't cover that aspect of customer service in Pharmacy school. I don't care what the business is, the CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT, after all, they are footing the bill that justifies YOUR JOB!!! Personally, I believe we are long overdue to fully mechanize and automate this industry and eliminate the Human error aspect, that spills over into other areas. Service is just as important as low prices, in fact, I think it is more of a marketing tool. Every Pharmacy has meds, NOT every Pharmacy has stellar, above and beyond service. We will not be dealing with CVS anymore, I don't care if we have to drive farther or pay more, we are patrons no longer. I could almost understand, had this been a brand new prescription. But there were 9 refills left on the old, legally written prescription from 2018. I've been with the same Dr. since 2004, and basically the same regiment. I guess the "opiate crisis" makes a good excuse to hide behind, a policy of an over abundance of caution. No matter who it NEGATIVELY IMPACTS. read more

I've visited about 10 CVS stores in my area over the years and this one hands down has the best customer service. The pharmacy is on point, knowledgeable, and friendly. The manager Sue and her staff at the front are all great. I never have to wait too long to check out, they always help me find what I need if they are out of stock in the front, and best of all (because I shop with coupons there every week) the staff is knowledgeable about their coupon policy and I have never had a problem there that couldn't be resolved with professionalism and kindness. It may be because I am there every week, but the employees at this location really have a way of making their customers feel welcomed and appreciated. I am happy to have found a store that I enjoy visiting every week when I come in to save money! read more

Worst customer service ever.....again and again. I just had foot surgery and was in a lot of pain. The pharmacy was extremely rude, and unconcerned that they didn't have the medication. THEY didn't even offer to order the medication and told me I can try another CVS . I can't drive remember! Then I felt like I was being "stereotyped", CVS , how can you tell a customer two totally different stories within ten mins on why you don't have the prescription in stock. I recommend Costco or Walgreens any Day. read more

Dont shop here if you value your sanity. I can't say anything for the pharmacists, but the clerk was mind-boggling. Six customers deep and the guy was debating a sale with a customer on a product she didn't even want. He even flipped through sale flyers over two weeks old to find a sale that was no longer relevant. Ten minutes later its my turn and the guy misses 3 of the 5 items I had on the conveyor belt. The sale wasn't even complete when I pointed it out to him, but he told me "Oh, we'll have to do a separate transaction for those." They were Altoids. That's all! read more

This store used to be a Long's Drug, a chain I generally prefer over CVS. However, the reason this store is awesome is the staff, especially the pharmacy staff. Love them! I had a horrible customer service experience today at this location/pharmacy. I previously called in my RX (one refill left) upon arrival the tech said I had no refills and that she had to call the Dr. office and than she said I could get 3 of the item being filled. Waited and waited, than the pharmacist showed me on paper that I only had one refill left (which I knew) that I could not get the three that the tech said. They did not have their act together, acted as though I was a problem, (which all started with the tech). This should not have taken up so much time and when folks are ill it is very frustrating and inconvenient. I will no longer get my scripts filled at this location. read more

More of a review on CVS in general. So I book an appointment on-line for a vaccination. Get an email with confirmation number for 1PM today at the Rosecrans store. I show up at 1PM at the Rosecrans store and the pharmacist knows NOTHING about it and they don't even have the vaccination. I go the next CVS down the street as directed and there is a two hour wait and they are not willing to honor the on-line appointment/confirmation I made. Unbelievable that a major company like CVS would have an on-line reservation and issue appointment confirmations (with confirmation number) but then have NO clue about it. CVS gets an "F". read more

This review is for the CVS Pharmacy - Mary Elias, Pharmacist, is the most outstanding pharmacist I have ever worked with. Her knowledge of medicine is at the top along with her customer service and wanting to help you now. Yesterday, there was a power outage in Manhattan Village shopping center which affected the pharmacy with no power. When the power came up, I was at the Drop Off counter, staff just said to me that the computers weren't working yet (something to that affect) and that I would have to come back later. Well, Mary jumped in there and showed her where she could use one computer and Mary would use another to get the backlog taken care of. There were SO many people in line wanting to get their prescriptions - Mary ensured as many booths were open to assist the customers. Mary is the best of the best - the business world needs more like her. Also, Lisa who works the booths does an outstanding job 24/7. Thank you for being there for us - you help keep us well! read more
