The workers here are generally nice and helpful. Pharmacy as well.. They are overworked. My perception from interacting with and observing management at this CVS is that he doesn't care IMO. They have just let everything go and allowed the exterior to look like a third world country. The garbage and filth from the homeless here make it undesirable. Isabel at pharmacy is the best !! She took her time to personally go look for inhaler my elderly mother needs., took her time looking in the system to see which CVS had it since they didn't. She was very courteous and friendly, even gave me the number to the CVS that had the inhaler. read more

The Asian woman in the pharmacy has absolutely no business interfacing with the public. She ignored me waiting at the drop-off counter, I waited several minutes, and I politely peeked over to ask for help. She very rudely took my script and went back to ignoring me. I waited for a response, a timeframe to wait or return when my prescription is ready. Nothing. I finally peeked over again and asked if I should wait or come back later to get my prescription. She didn't even look away from her screen, and barked "Come back twenty minute." If this is how awful CVS pharmacy employees conduct themselves, I will NEVER fill a script or spend a dime in any CVS store again. My stars are based on the Pharmacy only. I've been a patron of this CVS for over 20 plus years and today they did me in. This was the third and final straw. Customer service in the pharmacy area is practically non-existent. They have a not my problem attitude that is hard to ignore because they tell you to your face that they won't do anything because they can't. They refer you to call 800-SHOP-CVS and in calling them, they tell you the the pharmacy should have solved the problem, have been able to refund a delivery that was cancelled and never sent and should have assisted me. All the while, the pharmacy staff said they could not help me at all and that it was through corporate that I should call and to start by calling the 800-SHOP-CVS number. Waited with a car filled line of 8 cars waiting for the customer in front of me to get her order which took 50 min. Arrived in live at 1:10pm and finally got up to the window (mind you I was the next car) at 2pm. No one came to the window to tell the lady just sitting there to pull aside so they could assist the other 8 cars just sitting and waiting. When it was my turn, no apologies for having us wait for over 50 minutes just "how can I help you?" And then not able to assist me. I ordered for delivery last week. On Wednesday when my order was to be delivered, instead I got a text message asking me to call the pharmacy because they cancelled the delivery. I called the pharmacy and the staff member said I had to come in to pick up my medicine and they would be able to explain when I come in why they couldn't deliver. Now I'm at the pharmacy and NO ONE is able to help. Just having us wait for another 17 minutes while the pharmacist staff run around trying to figure out what to say. I had to pay twice for my prescription and now have to go through corporate to make another complaint because the 800-SHOP-CVS staff are also unable to assist with a refund and to put in a complaint. This was the third time that this has happened. The first time I paid $4.99 for delivery and somehow they never delivered but called to say that somehow my meds were left behind and if I can wait another week when the driver will make rounds towards my way and if not, I would need to come pick it up. I came to pick it up and they couldn't find that I paid because it's two different systems and they wanted me to pay again. I refused and showed my online live statement showing that I was changed and it was not pending, I showed them the CVS online web showing that it was paid and the email. And then the second time, I had pre-paid to pick up within the hour and they had no proof of my payment. They held me in line for over 32 minutes trying to make me pay again for meds that I had proof of copayment paid. Corporate needs to get on these computers and fix and connect the systems. This is horrible. You will lose your customers to Walgreens and Target and all other pharmacy places. As of today, we have switched CVS locations. read more

They are efficient enough, and fairly pleasant to deal with. I will say though, as a healthcare professional myself, this is probably the only pharmacy I've ever been to where the pharmacists and/or techs don't provide verbal teaching on the medications they are dispensing to you. Sure, there's a pamphlet attached to your prescriptions with information on it, but I've always believed it to be good practice to make sure your patients are educated even if briefly, on the indication for their medication, and at least a couple of potential side effects that they might expect to experience. I've been here a few times and watched them dispense medications to others and to my knowledge, they do not do that here. I scheduled an appointment at 12:30. Showed up at 12:30 and was told they were closing for lunch and to come back at 1. I told them I have an appointment now. They brought out a paper showing the appointment was at 1:15. It didn't seem right. I later found the text two text messages from today confirming my appointment was at 12:30. I showed the old guy at the counter to let him know there is an error or they need to update something in the system to let people know when they chnage the appointment times. The guy didn't care, was rude and acting like I was being unreasonable for letting him know there was an error in their system. I said I want him to put a note or let the manager k ow that there is an error. He said ok. Later I found out he is the manager! I'm not surprised about all the complaints about customer service with this guy in charge. read more

This place is not too great. I stopped in to buy some Sudafed, and the pharmacy took care of me pretty well. However, it's the employees on the floor that I wasn't too fond of. They didn't seem too happy with their lives, and their attitude seemed to reflect on the way they spoke with customers. Shoot, I was the one with the flu and a runny nose, and I wasn't feeling that blue. If I was, I wouldn't be taking it out on customers. The store itself is not as presentable as other CVS locations. It's safe to say that the are its in doesn't help either. This was a stop of convenience for me, but it didn't feel too much like convenience. Some employees are nice, some employees are bleeh. I like CVS, it allows me to use coupons and give me back Extra Buck, for buying certain items. Yes, it can be time-consuming​, but I manage to get what I need for a lower cost than Target or elsewhere. Items here at regular price, meeh I don't usually buy them unless it is the alcohol. Which is on sale most of the time. It is overall a nice place to shop and get what I need in an instant because there are too many CVS on​ every corner. There is one particular employee here who is very nice, and he does a great job. I forgot his name but he wears glasses and there every time I take a visit. Then the other employees are kind of slow, the lines can get pretty long, and then there is only one cashier most of the time. There should be at least two when the lines get​ long. As far as organization, they should add ropes, so people are not standing in the way of other people trying to buy what they need. Always scan your card before shopping because it prints out coupons that can be useful. I mean I definitely plan my trip here carefully. I don't utilize​ their pharmacy: No comment. This facility is like a giant convenience store, they also sell clothes and shoes here. Parking is not bad, I like that they do the one parking spot, so you don't have to reverse, just drive straight out when leaving. It is a single serve spot and not across from other cars. It is conveniently located at the intersection of Hawthorne Blvd and Manhattan​ Beach Blvd. I would recommend this CVS. No bad experience here, but they don't like when you try to use multiple cards per one person. Even if the card belongs to a family member. They do not allow you to do that. Jessica really helped me with my photo cards. She let me know the first machine doesn't connect to iPhones and started me on the next machine and it was pretty straightforward to connect to my iphone, pick a picture and make it into a card. They had lots of choices and finishings. About $2 per 1-sided card. I was able to finish it up myself and placed my order but the print machine wouldn't work. They refunded my money and then Jessica personally gave me a call to let me know that the machine started working again and they gave it to me for free when I came for them an hour or 2 later. I have a strong belief that if you are a chain restaurant/market/pharmacy/store whatever, that you should be uniformly awesome. That's the brand, right? I've had great experiences at CVS before--stores that are bright and filled with personable helpers. However, this CVS is the complete opposite! I am almost forced to go here to pick up water and snacks before work because it is the only store right off the highway. Every time I go, it is always in the morning usually when it opens. There is always the same cashier at this location during this time, and she is awful. She spends most of her time conversing with her friends who stop by to hang out with her. She is so slow, and even when there are like 5 or 6 people in line, she just keeps chatting away with her ladies. It is so frustrating. Also, the two times I asked her to help me, she made me go to the pharmacy area to ask one of the pharmacists for help. This place also has a poor selection of balloons. Everything they have up on the shelf is what they have--there is nothing in back stock, so don't bother asking. When I came here, they were out of paper clips and the cashier just shrugged and said, "what you see is what we have." Okay. Thanks. Very helpful. Also, for some strange reason, the make-up is overpriced here. I don't remember having to pay 11 dollars for eyeliner at the other CVS location. I wasn't aware that they changed prices depending on the store. Anyway, I wouldn't bother going here weekday mornings because there's likely going to be a 15-20 minute wait, whereas it could be a 5 minute ordeal someplace else. They clearly need more help in the morning and should really give that lady a talking-to. read more

This has got to be one of the worst pharmacies ever (I do realize there are worse out there). There is a young man that works there that I have requested prescription renewals through in the past and he has said that he called my doctor and that there was a busy signal. When is the last time you've called the doctor and gotten a busy signal? This happens all the time. One time he billed the wrong insurance and I explained to him to bill the correct one and he blatantly would not. I had to request a Manager to correct it. Currently, I need a renewal on a prescription, so I requested the renewal online and followed up with a call where I was told that there were no requests from me and that I am out of refills. I was also told that I need a new prescription from my doctor. Since when does a pharmacy not facilitate prescription renewals. They always have before. The pharmacist literally argued with me over the phone about it. I had to call my doctor and ask them to call it in and even they were perplexed as to why the pharmacy couldn't or wouldn't request it. read more

I was driving by this CVS when I decided to stop and pick-up a few notebooks for a project I am working on. Upon exiting my vehicle I was disgusted at how dirty the parking lot was. I was shocked when I walked inside and found the inside of this CVS to be no different from the parking lot. I found the carpet in this CVS to be stained with who knows what. Areas of the carpet were missing with exposed sticky glue. The rest of the store looked like a Wal-Mart on Black Friday; items on the shelves were thrown about and totally out of place. I even found some factory sealed packages ripped open and the contents from inside of the box missing. I had to use the bathroom and was shocked at what I found. I walked in the door and the smell was intense. The bathroom itself looked like it had not been cleaned in a week or so. The toilet had who knows what in it. The rubbish bin was overflowing with garbage onto the floor and the soap dispenser lacked soap but it did not lack the employee's must wash their hands before returning to work sticker. I walked around the store and was disgusted that this store is allowed to sell prepackaged food let alone fill pharmacy prescriptions. I thought you would want to keep pharmaceuticals in a sterile environment but that is obviously not the case here. I would NEVER fill an Rx prescription here and neither should you. I was already committed and searched out and found the school supply aisle and secured the notebooks that I was looking for. I walked up the cashier to pay for my items. I paid in cash and asked the cashier who was in the process of giving me change if I could have my change in coins; this seemed to stump the cashier. I was handed dollar bills back, I once again handed the dollar bills back to the cashier and asked if I could change my dollar bills for quarters, the cashier once looked stumped and asked for the assistance of a supervisor, I said never mind and walked out never to return. I am not sure I have ever been inside of a CVS that was this dirty from floor to ceiling, gross, gross!!! I immediately walked to my car and lathered myself from elbow to hands with hand sanitizer. Only to follow that up with washing off the bottom of my shoes before I walked inside of my residence. read more

I wish I could take stars instead. Every time I come to this store, I experience rude and horrible customer service. Today was the worst! When I got to the front of the line, the younger attendant turned around and left without saying anything. The mature attendant kept helping the same customer she has been helping since i first got in line; she was definitely struggling with the computer. She called for help, the younger attendant and manager Bob came to "assist," however, they didn't, they only asked what was the matter and left after helping the older attendant. Mind you, I was still waiting to be helped! Mature cashier was still experiencing problems so she called for help, again! The manager and younger attendant finally helped us. I don't know if I'm expecting too much out of a pharmacy but I definitely think they, especially the manager, could do more to help out paying customers! read more

Come here knowing what you want. And be ready to stand in line for a while. This place is usually dirty and the staff never seems to want to help and will try to avoid you. I came here looking for some motion sickness meds and asked 3 different staff members. I ended up chatting with the pharmacist who explained to me the different kinds they have. Another time I came here looking for locks that I can use at a gym. No one seemed to know where they were so I walked down every aisle until i found them. I came here last Thursday at around 8pm and felt rushed because they were closing soon. I thought "whaaaaat!? They're open 24hours". Guess not this location. If you have to be here to pick up your prescription, I recommend picking up all other items at the same time so that you can pay for them at the pharmacy counter. I wouldn't normally review a CVS, but this one is awful. There never seems to be more than one cashier and there are always 10 people in line. The line moves at a glacial pace. Seriously. Do not come here if you are in a hurry. I haven't really run into a problem with the organization as other reviewers have mentioned, but the store does tend to be really dirty which is kinda gross when you're buying items for your health/personal care. Been coming here for years with all my family's prescriptions. I can't say much about the actual store and their services but I do want to compliment the pharmacy staff. Always have been really helpful on all questions I may have had. They are pretty accurate with the timing and hardly any wait. I do have to say that they are ALL very nice but in my experience, lawrance is awesome...Such a nice guy! He Goes the extra mile and that's always appreciated. I have a walgreens and rite aid that are in my neighborhood but I would rather drive the extra few miles to come here. Let's keep it real. This CVS is distinct for a couple main reasons. - Badly organized, everything seems like it's in strange isles. - Horribly slow, and not only is the line slow, but it awkwardly wraps around the isles. - Others have mentioned rude workers, this is true, but I think that's every CVS. - Most notably bad... No alcohol! We don't need 2 CVS's within a couple blocks of each other. Seriously replace this one with something that isn't just a whack version of the store down the street. read more

I come here for 3 reasons. First the pharmacy staff us the friendliest team I've encountered and they're more than happy to answer all your questions from cough syrup to bandaid. They usually have my prescription filled in 15 minutes within 15 minutes. Second alcohol enough said. Third location I live a block away and I walk there. read more

The absolute rudest pharmacist ever. They close early. They wont tell you when your perscriptionis ready. When you turn something in they take the paperwork from you and say NOTHING, so you are staring at each other with a blank face. No thank you, no smiles, no communication, just hand over your paperwork and look at each other.
