It was spacious inside and there was plenty of parking outside. There's a drive-thru pharmacy. The bad: All of the makeup is locked up in glass cabinets that require a key. It's always concerning if they need to do that so it makes me think the customers and area isn't great. The interesting: They're selling a lot of fun Halloween things now. They're not super expensive but they aren't at all cheap.

I stopped here on the way to work around 6:30am on Monday, 4/20/26, to purchase Zyrtec D and some Diet Coke. I paid for all of my items at the pharmacy. The cashier offered a receipt but I declined. I placed my items (3 Diet Cokes, a small container of baby powder, and the box of Zyrtec D) in my reusable shopping bag and exited the store. I was parked close to the entrance. I popped my trunk and was placing the bag in my trunk when an employee exited the store and approached me stating, "You need to come back in." I was confused and I'm sure by the look on my face that was obvious so he said, "You need to pay for those drinks in your bag." I told him I paid at the pharmacy. He then asked for my receipt. I told him I had it on my phone through the app. He then stated, "It's not going to show on there." He contacted the pharmacy employee via walkie talkie and asked if he had rung up a sale. The pharmacy employee stated that he had and told him what I had purchased. I now have the purchase history up on my phone. I showed this employee and he simply said, "Oh." And walked away. No apology or anything. I spend a lot of money at CVS. I am torn between shopping at a different, less convenient location and cancelling my Extra Care membership altogether. I have worked retail for 30 years. Unless you are a loss prevention employee, you should not be following people out of the store. That is a company policy at every retail company I have ever worked for. I find it hard to believe there was a dedicated LP person at this CVS at 6:30 am on a Monday. This person obviously did not check with the pharmacy or review any cameras before approaching me by my car in the parking lot. Please invest in better training for your staff. This person was an African-American male, mid-twenties, 5'8"-5'10", thick accent. I do not have his name but he was the only male I saw in the store at that time aside from the pharmacy tech.

I didn't come to look at furniture, but I saw a lot in that area. And the prices are obviously good. This Walmart has things like the protein bars, stuff like that. One of the things we wanted to pick up were a few bottles of wine, and liquor. There's a button to press for assistance in the liquor isles, as all alcohol is locked up behind a glass case. We pressed the button a few times, waited about 15 min, no one ever came. I then went looking for someone, I found 2 groups of woman, in 2 different places while searching for help, and all said, we needed to look for the associate with the yellow vests, only they can unlock the doors. I finally found someone who was wearing a yellow vest after about 30 min, and I was told by him he was only wearing the vest, he can't actually unlock the door. It was definitely frustrating especially seeing all these associates just standing around doing literally nothing! Horrible customer service.

In between picking up items, I checked my blood pressure at the machine. After that, I picked up the items for a family member and checked out in the front. Parking in Old Torrance is not really that easy. There are lots and a structure which may involve a little walking. I was fortunate to have parked at SBHH and walked over. Great experience. 4 stars.

This feels awful…read more Pavilions is always texting customers about how we should stay up to date with our vaccines and call if we have questions. As a healthcare professional, I was VERY disappointed back in September to get my Covid booster. Only to find out they were providing an updated one within days and I was never told when I came for my shot. So I got a useless vaccine and now have to wait until AFTER Thanksgiving to get the current one. On top of that, I'm reading information about how poorly matched this year's flu shot is at actually tackling the mutation that is becoming dominant. I wanted to ask if there were any supplemental boosters in the works. The woman I talked to kept saying "we are just told....". She finally put me through to a temporary manager. And the moment I started asking HER questions, she said "well, you can talk to the manager in charge tmrw". I joked that was an easy way for her to shove me off onto somebody else too. She said "corporate sends those texts about calling if you have questions about vaccines. WE don't send them." (Implying she doesn't want to talk about any of this). I said OK. She hung up.
