On the second trip a couple weeks later I needed a birthday card and a gift card. Figured I'd be in and out within 5 minutes but again had to wait 10+ minutes to pay. There were two cashiers, plus customers paying at the photo counter, but each customer transaction seemed to take forever. And still... no inventory of shoelaces. Next time I need to make a quick purchase I'll choose another store.

Thyroid medication is not interchangeable across manufacturers due to differences in potency and inactive ingredients. As a Hashimoto's patient with documented sensitivity, switching manufacturers destabilizes my health. This issue is systemic and exposes patients to inappropriate substitutions. Walgreens must correct its automated dispensing process and ensure that pharmacist verification cannot be bypassed by inventory availability.

In doing research for the refill I found that Chewy Mail Order Pharmacy has excellent prices, and I always get good service and great customer service from them. The EXACT SAME MEDICINE was about $8.00 from Chewy. I called Walgreens, no mistake on their "cash price" for the medicine. No refund, no recourse. Reportedly Costco has good pet med prices as well. And even a nicer surprise: the items I got had an additional discount simply by adding a phone number (being a CVS shopper and all.) TIP: expect a really long receipt if you opt to have it printed. But take a few seconds to look through it - you can avail even more discounts for future purchases. It was a convenient and good first run. The cashier had her give out her name and date of birth three times, and the name of her doctor, and her insurance information. The pharmacist was called over for a consultation (which should have been at the "consultation counter) and went over her medical condition and how to take the medication. All of us on line were appalled that this information was being divulged so publicly, especially in these days where identity theft is so rampant. I spoke to the same pharmacist later and voiced my concern and his response was to speak more softly next time. But I made it clear conversations like his (and the cashier) should be considered confidential - period. Other than that this isn't preferred CVS and I go there all the time.

I was able to fill it online, then when I went in the following day, they acted like I was crazy and said it never existed. When I pushed them, they agreed it actually did exist, but apparently it expired a few days before. They accidentally used a more recent prescription to refill a few months ago and let the older prescription run out and expire (6 months). Then when I paid $200 to have a telehealth appointment to have a new prescription sent in, that day, they then told me they would not accept the good RX card on a controlled substance. That's not a law in California or with CVS just "their location." I've called around to every other pharmacy and they said of course they take good RX card for any prescription. Just go to Ralph's, Walgreens, Costco literally anywhere else but this place. They are incompetent liars fabricating stories and discriminate.
