The pharmacy itself was very slow to fill a prescription we needed before we left town. A day before we were set to leave, the pharmacy had still not fully filled the prescription. The situation was salvaged however by the great work of Drucilla, one of the pharmacy technicians. She was able to call around and find a Walgreens pharmacy very close to this one that was able to fulfill my prescription in a half an hour. Thank you, Drucilla! read more

My cat has intestinal cancer, should do ok for a while with treatment. The specialist prescribed high potency steroids and offered to call it in to the Walgreens near me. The pharmacist called me to get my information and said it would be ready soon. I was at a dinner event I could not leave so I told her I would pick it up in the morning. When I went in, a rather unfriendly pharmacy tech said it was not ready. She put the prescription together and with tax it was over $300, for steroids.....Nothing exotic. In doing research for the refill I found that Chewy Mail Order Pharmacy has excellent prices, and I always get good service and great customer service from them. The EXACT SAME MEDICINE was about $8.00 from Chewy. I called Walgreens, no mistake on their "cash price" for the medicine. No refund, no recourse. Reportedly Costco has good pet med prices as well. What predatory pricing from Walgreens. You can bet I will never set foot in one again. read more

Terrible, terrible service. We were on a cruise and had no phone service. When we returned Walgreens Torrance informed me my prescription ready. I went to pick it up and they informed me that it was returned to stock! No solutions, nothing, that's it. I returned home and called the manager (lead person), he recited the same story, no let me help you, let's get it back together and have it ready for you this afternoon or tomorrow. When I told him I would call corporate offices he told me to do what I wanted to and slammed the phone down! 20 plus years with Walgreens and I'm moving my prescription! Curbside pickup was super easy. The downfall was that 2 of my 3 items were opened and used. These were items that go on your body, so that to me is really disgusting. I had to come back to the same store for the return because another store told me they couldn't do it. The return took longer than expected because it wasn't the normal process. The cashier had to call for help. Customer service was helpful and nice, but I don't think I'll be shopping at Walgreens in the future. This was a hassle, and I would NOT recommend. No quality control. 2 boxes were clearly opened. 1 was ripped open, but these still made it in my pickup order? Oh well. Lesson learned. read more

I've never ordered holiday cards at Walgreens and usually I do at CVS. This year I saw the photo card I want at Walgreens so I decided to order ones here. I wrote details below but long story short: this location had my order early when I visited the first time and the guy didn't do what I suggested to find my cards at that time. Second time I went there and the same guy said they don't have my order because they put my cards on wrong place. After I ordered my cards, I got an email and it said I will get receive emails after they ship and ready to pick up. Somehow they only sent me the email they shipped my cards. I looked at Junk mail boxes and I did not see any email of my order. It took too much time and also I couldn't check where my cards are by tracking number so I called customer service and they can only find my cards are at one of post office in LA. At that time it was already more than 2 weeks after I ordered my cards. So per the customer service lady informed maybe I should call the Walgreens store where I suppose to pick up my cards. I actually went this location and asked the guy at photo section, and he was looked through the box from my LAST name. He said they didn't have it. I even asked him to check "M" which is my first name but it could be in the box of M by accident before he searched the boxes. After another week, I almost gave up because it's very close to Christmas and I wanted to send some cards as international mails. Before I call customer service for refund, I called this Walgreens location one more time to check if they have my cards yet or not. The lady said 'yes we have your order here' so I was happy and went there to pick up. When I got here, I saw the same guy who looked boxes for my cards and asked him again to get my cards. He said 'no I don't see your cards here.' I told him I called that morning and the lady said she found it. He looked boxes again and he said no again. Now I'm not gonna go home without cards since I already called here and made sure they have my order. So I waited for him to search more for my cards. He was trying to find my cards and finally he got it from the box of "M." They put photo orders by customers LAST names but they put my photo on the box of my FIRST name. It's ok because I am not American and they might be confused but I am sure they had it when I went there at the first time and also I ASKED HIM TO LOOK ON MY FIRST NAME TOO which he didn't. So if he did look more carefully and look at the right box I originally suggested to look, I did not have to go there twice and I got my holiday cards on time. Also it's a part of Walgreens fault that they did not send notifications for ready to pick up(actually after a day of pick up my order, I got email and said my order is ready to pick up at the location on Dec 11th which I went to the store to pick up. This year I will go back to order my holiday cards at CVS for sure. read more

I wish I could give this place zero stars. I have called this location numerous times to confirm that their machine (which is just a scanner) is working so I can mail some returns via fed ex. Every time I speak to Ryan (the manager) who rudely and with such contempt assures me it's working. He sounds insulted that I would even call and ask such a thing. Lo and behold I end up driving there and dragging all my packages into the store to find out that the "machine isn't working". I tell them I called and was told it's working. I asked to speak to Ryan the manager but he remains hidden in his office in the back. I'm not sure what happened to the pharmacy at this location. Service used to be prompt and efficient, but that has slipped badly in the last few months. On one recent visit, I waited over 20 minutes. There was one person at the counter and I was the only one in line. They appear to prioritize drive-up customers over walk-ins; on several visits, they have helped new drive-ups while people were already lined up and waiting inside. I used to have a high opinion of this store, but no more. I'll be taking my prescriptions elsewhere. read more

This Pharmacy is the worst. One incident in particular a male Tech was not very discreet when I pick up medication for another person. He kept asking unnecessary questions leading me to almost yell my answers that didn't have anything to do with me! Instead of looking at the paperwork in front of him he decided to embarrass himself which almost lead to a formal complaint against Walgreens for privacy violations. Second: My personal medication is never filled on time. I've called on a Friday and with No other factors hindering delay, on Monday it's still not ready. It's only filled on time when it's on Auto-Refill (which allows them to collect for many months of supply ahead of time) Walgreens, you need to take heed of this staff or face lawsuits. read more

This review is specifically for the pharmacy tech (woman who appears to currently be pregnant). I have used this pharmacy for years and always been pleased with their service, since other pharmacies in the area have had issues keeping supply of my meds. I'm not sure when this tech started, but I hadn't been to this pharmacy for about a year due to being pregnant and off meds. Since coming back, here are a few things she's done: - when I went inside to pick up, this pharmacy tech was shouting at an elderly man who did not appear to speak great English, because he was having a hard time understanding her. She then answered the phone while helping him and shouted at him again when he thought she was talking to him - when I called to update my insurance, she told me she couldn't help me over the phone because they were "too busy" and I'd have to go in - the next time I called to switch from insurance to a coupon, she cut me off, shouted that she couldn't hear me, and hung up without letting me say anything else. I have anxiety (which is what the meds are for) and had a massive panic attack because of this. (And side note, when I called back once I'd calmed down and someone else answered, mysteriously they could hear me just fine!) Overall, I'm happy with the pharmacist and their med supply, but that one pharmacy tech is so rude to literally everyone and if there was another pharmacy nearby with the same selection, I would switch because of her. And as soon as I get her name, I will be filing a formal complaint with corporate, because this isn't just a bad day, she's like this every single time. Believe me, I know how horrible it is to work with the public, but if you can't fake it, you shouldn't be working with people. read more

I come to this one cause it is super convenient from my apartment. This was the third time I've been in when the first thing I see is the cashier with his mask on his chin! I have had to ask him twice now to pull his mask up before I will bring my items for him to ring me up. I walked in today to get hand sanitizer and of course his mask his strapped to his chin. I immediately walked out! I will never step foot into this dumpy location because of this worker and his blatant disregard for his job now requiring mandatory mask wearing and his blatant disregard that I am a type 1 diabetic and I'm at risk much heightened than others when I step foot out of my door. Avoid this place for Covid shots. Totally disorganized. There is an area for a separate check in but they make you stand in with the long prescription line because they are under staffed. The website gave me a confirmation that I had an appt but when I arrived I was not listed on their sheet. Rachel behind the counter was not helpful and provided no reassurance that I could get the booster. NEVER in my life have I ever been so mistreated. I understand that this is a Walgreens, an establishment that does not need to hire any educated person, especially one who is trained on customer service. Whomever the female manager was tonight around 10:45 PM was the rudest person I have ever encountered, as well as the female associate. My boyfriend and I were on a walk around our neighborhood, not bringing our masks as we did not think we'd stop. I needed to use the restroom and saw this was the only place open. As we walked in, before we could even walk to the counter to ask for a mask the manager and associate screamed at us 4 times in a row "YOU NEED TO HAVE A MASK TO BE IN HERE". We didn't even have a chance to ask the man at the counter. Once we got our masks, I asked to use the restroom and she said "No she can't use it!" Disgusting the way they treat their customers. I came for the express clinic that Providence runs within this location and they were great! I was given a prescription for subcutaneous injections and I went ahead and filled that at walgreens (but I usually use CVS). Then I went back to the express clinic to show the practitioner that I am able to give myself the injection...weird feeling. The pharmacist at the time was great and very nice. Fast forward about 3 weeks, I've given myself a total of 4 injections and transferred my prescription to CVS who immediately flagged due to an allergy to a medication with similar molecular shape--not within the same family off medication but enough for CVS to have alerted me. The type of allergy I have is a serious one with my throat closing... after each injection, I had some shortness of breath, but I was assured that this was normal. So, I called Walgreens to let them know of the situation and spoke to the pharmacist who was also baffled about why this medication wasn't flagged or alerted for possible allergy in their computer system. Ok, well, my throat didn't close and I didn't die, so yay. However, I keep getting robocalls from Walgreens to refill my prescription there. I am not taking the chance of using this medication because I don't want to die...so I called Walgreens to ask them to not refill the prescription and not to call me regarding this again. So, this is my complaint. The female tech I spoke with was rude and condescending when I tried to explain why I no longer wanted the medication. She said it is not the same medication family, therefore...the medication shouldn't be flagged as a potential allergy. This is scary because as a nurse (RN) I know that even if the medications are not within the same family, it can still cause an allergic reaction because the molecular structure are similar enough to cause an immune response--an allergy. This is very basic knowledge within this field. It is unsettling for this tech to give me information that is completely false. This kind of misinformation can cause someone to have an allergic reaction and possibly die. Be cautious and if there is any question regarding medication, please ask their pharmacist. read more

This has been my go-to drugstore for years as it's very close to where I live, but no more. I went to get my flu shot yesterday. The pharmacy staff was great but I was dismayed to see the gentleman who works at the front of the store wearing his mask on his chin, with his mouth and nose fully exposed, as he walked around the store. This is unacceptable. I had read reviews on Yelp stating the same thing, but I guess I had to see for myself. Store management needs to have a serious talk with him and enforce with their employees the same rules they have for customers. Until I see reviews indicating that the situation has been handled, I won't be back. I'll try CVS across the intersection and see if they're any better at protecting the well-being of their customers during a global pandemic. I've come to this particular Walgreens for the last few years because it's open 24/7 and always seem to have something I need on sale. I've never felt so compelled to right a review until my experience about 20 minutes ago.... I stopped in on my way from class to pick up some necessities. While looking at everything, Graciela asked me if I needed help with finding anything and let me know that I could check out at the beauty counter. She also noticed what I had in my hand and told me that she had coupons for 2/3 items I had, so at this point I'm already impressed, since that's never happened before. After I finished shopping, I went up to the counter where a woman was already complementing Graciela on her customer service. As I'm checking out, Graciela offered a few upsales based on my purchases (L'Oreal was buy one, get one half off), and that she had additional coupons for L'Oreal products. Basically, I left there with a bag full of goodies feeling like I robbed the place. So this is more of a review of how insanely impressed I was with Graciela. Her customer service was outstanding and her product/coupon knowledge was stellar. I think she should be working far beyond Walgreens, or at least have a management position at the store. I usually like coming here when I'm in the mood to purchase new, but very cheap, nail polish or, maybe even, movies (which can run from $3-$7) and they're usually brand new!! They also sell some cheap wines and, while you're at it, you can pick up some snacks, like candies (there's currently a sale right now 3 for $3 and they have a lot of Halloween candies and decorations) and chips. :) read more
