SBHHS' prices were way too high and I had remembered the Fox was nearby and sells the same items I was looking for at better prices. I was warmly greeted in by the ladies at the front counter. In the front, they sell various gift items such as cards, figurines, plush animals, and more. There are household items, over the counter meds, and general goods similar to a Walgreens or CVS. They also offer services to pay utility bills. Anyway, I was there for the home health items. The pharmacy clerk also inquired if I needed any assistance. I was good. In between picking up items, I checked my blood pressure at the machine. After that, I picked up the items for a family member and checked out in the front. Parking in Old Torrance is not really that easy. There are lots and a structure which may involve a little walking. I was fortunate to have parked at SBHH and walked over. Great experience. 4 stars.

What I like about this store is that they have things I would never think to find there. They have almost everything. The buyer buys old school products which I like because I can't find certain things anywhere else. You will pay more due to the convenience but that's okay because you earn reward points. I should have switched years ago. At this Pharmacy, the owner knows me by name. He always picks up my calls (or if I hit voicemail he immediately calls me back). He proactively calls me about medication refills. He calls my doctors (and doesn't lie about it like CVS does). Every conversation is filled with "thank you" and "I appreciate your choosing us." My medications are ready hours after my doctor prescribes them. Payam treats his clients like royalty and switching to his pharmacy has decreased my stress levels. The big brand pharmacies don't care about you or your business. I think that when you need medication quickly and safely it's important that someone does care. I'd urge anyone reading this to switch to their local small pharmacy and, if you live or work around Torrance, this pharmacy is a particularly good one!

After a recent debacle dealing with a prescription issue between my ENT and CVS, my order which…read moreAnthem wouldn't authorize was transferred to Medplus. My out of pocket cost for this medication was raised from $128 to $280 at CVS. Although I didn't receive much help from my doctor's office in trying to get my insurance to authorize payment, they did send a new prescription to the Medplus pharmacy in their building. Amazingly enough, the out of pocket cost here is only $105 for the same 90 day supply. Makes you wonder how a small independent pharmacy can beat the pants off of a pharmaceutical behemoth like CVS doesn't it? Anyway, the people here were extremely helpful in helping me obtain my medication at a much more affordable price. If you have a doctor in the building here on Earl Street or anywhere near Torrance really, it's worth checking this pharmacy to at least ask what their price is on any drug you may be taking with a high copay or that isn't covered by your insurance. If CVS is overcharging on my prescription, your pharmacy may be doing the same thing. It doesn't cost you anything to inquire.
